The shrine of amana will always disappoint me. Not because of the mages but because after the miracles were nerfed a great lightning spear with a +10 chime did less damage than an unupgraded light crossbow with magic bolts...on a character with high faith

Thanks ymfah! I finally got them. Although I have to say I farmed waaay to many souls for my run in NG+4. I used another route because of that, but your tips were still very helpful. To anyone who tries to attempt this run in NG+, I have some strats I used if you want some tips from me. (Nobody cares I know but I'm just trying to help)

I remember wanting both rings, i did a NG+ no death no bonfire run Im being totally honest, it wasnt actually all that difficult, what it was was very aggrivating, time consuming, and annoying. Mostly because of the not being able to rest at bonfires thing normally if you were doing one or the other its easier. Say you were only doing a no bonfire run. Out of spells? Just die. Doesnt count as a bonfire rest and you get all your stuff back. No death run? Sticky situation? Feather out You can feather out in a no-bonfire and no-death run, but because of the way you have to go about doing it to be efficient, that could drastically set you back, and put you at risk of repeating a tricky situation ------------------ I was damn close to losing my whole run at the very end though. Fuck the god damn throne duo
11 days and ~20-30 attempts later, I finally fucking finished it at 4 AM today. Godspeed if decide to give this run a try. No man’s cheeks have ever been as clenched as mine were in the final smash. Thanks for the dope vids and inspiring cool shit to do in the souls series, love you’re content and mad respect for you for getting this run and allowing me to do it as well
no because the espada rapera is just a straight upgrade to it :^) shame you can't get that until basically endgame, same with the similarly arguably better ice rape-ier
problem with red iron is it weighs like four hundred [units], doesn't work so well in halls and has a relatively poor moveset for twinblades (all of its first attacks besides iirc the rolling r1 are just straightsword attacks, so it is sometimes worse than other twinblades and even postnerf santier's for bosses, where you have the window for a twinblade twirl but not a straightsword swing AND a twinblade twirl between their attacks). Some of the benefits of rapiers are that almost nothing resists thrust, nearly as many things are weak to it as strike, they can be used even in tight spaces but have good reach, and they're very fast and all their attacks are low-commitment. Plus the rapier and espada ropera have one of the best parries in the game which is just icing on the cake. but yeah for sheer power/dps I don't think anything beats red iron.
Also in the part where it says cheese the dragonrider, you can actually shoot him with a bow and arrow from just left of the first lever. About a hundred wood arrows and he'll turn toward you and raise his shield that's when you can run past everybody else when you get into the boss room he has no health left him once and he's done

Me too man, i got it after 1 failed attempt, i died to a gargoyle the first time. Next attempt i one shotted the gargoyle using climax to get revenge. I was so careful, like everything i did had to be planned out
You can use that plus 3 bow and buy like 10 arrows to make that poison guy door area easier. kill the bottom 2, and then arrow the door down. kill them on your terms and not in that tiny room
The music for that part probably got copyright claimed and the vid got taken down, to fix it you can cut that part of the video, replace all the audio with non copyrighted music or just mute that part.

I have several tips for people who intend to complete the game without deaths and bonfires. If you see your equipment gonna break just break it yourself if u at Majula. You save powders+spend a little amout of souls for the full(!) repair. And if u don't believe in your clear skill just make sometimes backups.

Followed this guide and actually managed to finish it in around 4 and a half hours without any restarts. Pretty fun and not as hard as I expected honestly. I'd suggest giving it a shot to any Dark Souls 2 player who wants to have a challenge.

The Rotten was my favorite boss to farm with Aesethics in DS2
I did this like a year or 2 ago and stayed online and used all my estus in the 1st hour and still completed the run.
The only suggestion I have is that you don't jump cut so much, it got me killed when trying to find sellsword luet.

Followed this guide and actually managed to finish it in around 4 and a half hours without any restarts. Pretty fun and not as hard as I expected honestly. I'd suggest giving it a shot to any Dark Souls 2 player who wants to have a challenge.
