      @Fantasticjabber im well aware of Batman year one, 2022 batman isnt the first comicbook movie to follow source material ...there were pre-existing batman movies and its not uncommon for directors to get influence from previous movies...like i said "script" aside 2022 Batman tone overall has the grounded element of the Nolan trilogy and the ferocity of Batfleck mixed together

      @Fantasticjabber batman is almost as old as superman im aware source material going back to the late 1930s but applying that to the movie screen is something totally different.."script" is only one aspect of the film....but whatever makes u feel better but your hilarious if you dont think Reeves didn't get influence from Nolan and Batfleck its not about what was invented its about the interpretation of the character on screen

    The Batman gave us a vulnerable Batman that's what made Batman: The Animated Series so good. Batman isn't perfect and I'm glad this film showcased that. Batman is a human being he makes mistakes and he has flaws. This movie is hands down the greatest live action Batman movie. I also love that for the first time in live action we see the real Bruce Wayne. Not the playboy billionaire but the tortured soul behind the cowl. I don't care what anybody says this film is a comic book masterpiece.

They say he's boring but he's been beaten by Lady Shiva, Deathstroke, and Bronze Tiger to name a few. Batman has to have Contingency plans into order to survive because he's a nonpowered human that can't just walk up and punch them. He has to out think them Showcasing his legendary scientific, deductive and tactical/strategic prowess. This is why I'm so bored with Batman films this one included because they take all the wrong lessons from his successes and water him down stripping him of his legendary virtually unparalleled intellectual and combative prowess for mob villains and serial killers. Batman films need to evolve and leave the everything grounded-in-reality behind. That's where you truly test Batman as the world's greatest detective by taking him out of his element. Examples Batman: Offworld, and Batman City of Madness.

I ignore Batman haters because they clearly don't understand the character just like Superman haters don't understand his character. A good story/script with plenty of character development. Thats all it takes. Matt Reeves also wasn't limited by having to have his film connected to any events/characters that came before it, or coming after it in a pre-conceived cinematic universe. Thats what is holding back Marvel, not enough room for singular artistic creativity.

    For people saying the fatigue comes from bad, mediocre movies, need to ask a simple question. If the latest superhero films (let’s say last 20) came out in the early 2000s, would they have been considered “bad” back then? The problem is that we’re just tired of watching superhero films because it’s over saturated. It’s the same plot recycled over and over.

    • @doc8013
      @doc8013 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree about them being considered better if they were released 20 years ago but that's the point. Fatigue has come from repetitive storytelling. If it's the same plot over and over again then it's bad writing. As long as you have really good storytellers making unique and well-crafted movies then people will watch them.

  • @Josh-pn7vv
    @Josh-pn7vv 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I feel it’s so obvious why the new marvel movies suck.
    The cgi has been lacking obviously, even in some scenes in Avengers Endgame.
    Too many jokes, and bad ones at that, they don’t land often, and ruin the tone of the movie.
    Too much interconnectivity between shows and movies, often meaningless, too much setup for an insignificant/ disappointing payoff.
    The first Iron Man movie was good, but wasn’t flawless, Marvel has to look forward in their storytelling process,
    not backwards.
    Marvel can stick with the PG 13 rating and still make good movies, being Rated R doesn’t matter.
    I think Marvel is stuck in this idea that they are making a “superhero” movie, and that the template for such a film is the formulaic one they’ve been using for years and no other, when they need to let directors explore different possibilities with these characters, while still staying true to the core elements of the characters, The Dark Knight probably the best example.

    WHAT?! 😂 Its funny how you said this in a video about one of the most boring superhero movies. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed the batman, but it felt less like a superhero movie and more like a detective movie. I know batman's also a detective and they were trying to lean more into his detective side in this movie, but it got to the point where it was just boring because it had little action scenes, and it was too dark. But that's my personal opinion. I don't think I can say the same about other superhero movies. Unlike alot of other people, I'm not picky when it comes to superhero movies. They can put out as many superhero movies as they want, and it won't bother me, as long as the movie is fun and exciting.
