It was one of The Academy biggest mistakes not giving The Oscar for The Best Makeup and Hair for The Batman: we can not see Colin Farrell under that whole makeup. It is a complete new man. Problably is the best makeup I have ever saw at a movie. Spectacular.

I always wonder about the people who have to create the props for crazy characters like Riddler. They actually spend the time to write scary insane things.

Overall, pretty decent. If I had one complaint, I would have to say the movie was a bit too long. They could have spilt it in two and made more money using a cliffhanger in the 1st part slid into the 3 part sequel. Missed Opportunity Warner. :(
Afflecks suit was terrible. He looked fat and absurd. His muscles had too much padding. Pattinson's suit is 10X better. It looks very practical, the armor isn't too large and the darker black works much better with the darker lighting. His ears especially are longer and look more bat like than Afflecks. The only thing I would slightly change is his nose. I'd make it more pointy and have it cover his nose more but apart from that it's an impeccable Bat suit.
If I'm being honest I felt way more detached from the majority of the Nolan movies. I actually felt way more actual warmth and emotional earnestness from Reeves' version than I did for most of Nolan's iteration. I like them but they're very.....cold and a little *TOO* plot-focused to the point of feeling robotic.

Say what you want about the editing, writing and direction but the way the movie looks can't be ignored.
