American viewer here; I audibly gasped at 2:09 when I finally noticed it was a sport back! These are incredibly rare over here, I would love to own one. I just bought a 2017 Lancer SEL as a new daily driver and I found this video doing some research!
Yeah they're very common here and I didn't realise they were so rare in the U.S until we owned my wifes old one. Plenty of videos on that one too if you want to see more Ralliart sportback content
I’m considering selling my Lexus IS for either this or Evo 8. I’m a sucker for Mitsubishi performance cars(owned a Evo V years back) but it was pain in the ass to daily. I’ve driven a Ralliart and loved the way it drove and how underrated it is.
Wow! I was considering an IS as I wanted something sporty and interesting but Japanese. Was watching a Jackie Chan movie and now here I am looking at some Mitsubishi :)
TBH I'm looking at one of these as a first car although prob the sedan version. I've already looked into radio replacements which I could do myself really easily and really just have to get the trans serviced every 10-15km for me personally to feel safe with it long term. Combine that with the potential for upgrades over the years, Flashing the S-Sport mode found on the evos for me personally it seems in theory to be my ideal car with everything I'm looking at.
Definitely great cars and lots of easy upgrades. You can check out the Ralliart my wife used to own as there's a heap of mod videos of it on the channel
I have a 2009 RA. I have it in stock form. My RA car is 15 years old has 150,xxx miles and is white. I painted the stock 18 enki wheels white to match the body. I replaced the SST TRANS at 130,xxx miles done at Universal Mitsubishi. The car had the exhaust manifold replaced at approximately 90,xxx miles. The dealer honored the warranty in 2019 with 99,000 miles... fixing check engine light. I recently had ABS SERVICE light come on and it was low on AWS fluid. Which is the same as SST TRANS fluid. Diaqueen. I topped off with store bought Valvoline product that is rated deztron 3.....if I'm remembering correctly. The ABS SERVICE light went out and my AWS was restored automatically by cars computer . The car is amazing if might add. Handling is good in stock form. I want to upgrade brakes to brembo discs all around with brembo pads. Also would love the recaros out of an EvoX I am eyeing my next set of tires and am leaning towards pirrellis .....great car . In my opinion
You're lucky you get RP Motorsports up there who also do great work those guys and AK are the 2 main shops of reccomend in Australia by far. Some states i struggle to suggest a shop to people who ask me
I bought my Sportback for the reason it's Different...Sedans are like thumbs...everyone has them. I actually bought my RA over an evolution...The mitsu dealer loaned me an evolution for a weekend and I decided on a Ralliart
Yeah they're great cars for sure, we ended up selling my wifes RA sportback as we found an Evo X MR she liked a lot but she often says she misses her RA and wished she could own both
Such a sexy car the Sportback Ralliart is. I have a Yaris TS now, but thinking about getting a Sportback Ralliart. Like em a lot. But I wonder if they worth that much money.
@@JacksonStrain Well I am bout to spend around 1200 USD on the Yaris Toyota Sport, so I don't really expect the Ralliart to be that more costy.😬 And that's mostly the brakes and suspension that I have to spend the money on now. Okay, they are not stock, Vogtland springs etc., but the economy of Hungary is in ruins, that's true, the prices skyrocketed long go 🥹💀
Love ur videos so much. Do you happen to know where I can get a bonnet like yours as well as aftermarket tail lights for my non-ralliart lancer sportback in Australia (NSW to be more specific)?
The bonnet you'd have to get from a ralliart or Evo, Evolution racing spares in Sydney will have some. For tail lights unfortunately there isn't any aftermarket options for the sportback but you can tint them like we did to our old RA th-cam.com/video/KIGIKtKr2Js/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Qpkozdhlh8rjY62h
I have actually seen aftermarket tailights for the sportback from a video in Taiwan, but I think it will be costly to ship them to Australia. th-cam.com/video/bwiIQOXjxdo/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Cheng-YuHsieh
Hey guys let me know if you enjoyed this video as I really liked making something different and was more of a review style video which I hadn't really done much of
Definitely make more like this man, I really enjoyed this one and would be great to see your thoughts on some other cars especially cars in the similar price point to your Evo
Hi Jackson 👋, I'm from the UK and I own a lancer sportback. Only the 1.5L FWD due to car insurance prices at my age. But in a year or so I'm looking to buy a mitsubishi colt ralliart with 1.5L turbo engine they look really fun. If you could maybe do a video on one that would be cool .
These cars are turbo and awd though so like this one in the video you make it 400whp with a few thousand dollars spent and run mid 11s How much will it cost to do that in a civic
I really love this car. Actually I have an Lancer Sportback fab 2012 but it’s just a simple one with 1.8 did mvic clearTec engine. In one day I will have one of this, or why not, maybe like ur red evo10. Much love from Romania. ❤️
It's their loan car, they have a bunch of Ralliarts that they give to regular customers to use while they get work done. That's one of the things that makes AK amazing to deal with
Not any body maybe some but not a lot of people at least on the states I have many conversations about cars with some guys and when I talk about the ralliart they don’t have any Idea about this car I know a lot about this car because I’m from Puerto Rico and over there mitsubishi is very popular so you see a lot of ralliart racings against evos etc… but mitsubishi is not that popular at all on the states but yeah this car is a sleeper in the states
I have the sedan and really love it. Hope more people weigh in on this.
The sedans look great and are hugely popular here
this car is basically an MR in disguise 😂 i want 1! love the new approach of your video. add some more please 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Agreed, and thanks I appreciate that

Hell yeah congrats mate

Absolute awesome upload man, love the detailed editing. And what a little weapon of a car 👍
Thanks so much I'm glad you enjoyed it and I really appreciate the kind words
Great mid level tuner car with plenty of head room for more tuning if needed. I'd go an intense 5353 Gen 2 if I was ever to buy a smaller turbo again
Completely agree, the 5353 would be great fun in this car for sure
@@JacksonStrain make sure you record the dyno runs with your new turbo
can i get full detail on tht turbo? been searching for it and google just messed it up with bunch of names
I need another of these again. This or the evo x mr, the sst was super fun.
Get one before they go up in price again haha
what is the difference between mr and gsr im new to cars
@@wntrssldr I made a video a while back showing the differences so definitely go check that out

Just remove the evo hood and the ralliart emblem and put a normal trim badge like glx.
Could be done and would be ultimate sleeper then, but the turbo and intake might get a bit hot
I see why you want it haha, I don't daily my Evo but I'm thinking this thing would make the perfect daily for me
Haha yes exactly
Hey mate, recently purchased one of these and looking to get some work done. Any suggestions for Melbourne workshops? Cheers
For Melbourne I'm not 100% sure I know there's RP Motorsports in Sydney and PPM in SA
The Perfect Sleeper. True. If you get one, you will have lots of parts to recycle.
Exactly right
Nice car dude
It's not mine unfortunately and has since sold but yes agreed great little car
Used to have one. Was a blast but didn't last 🥲 big sad.
Ah that's sad 😔
How much do these car go for & how much miles is to much
Depends where you're located and what's done to them, so too hard to answer
What’s the speaker in the boot ?
Not sure of they all had them in Aus or were an option as I've seen a few without them now
@@JacksonStrain all g, just been looking for a speaker for my Ralliart, thx anyways 👍

I don't think so just Bluetooth, but most people would change out the factory unit anyway
Lol you were convincing yourself to get another lancer. Man you having ralliart withdrawals 😂 They are super nice when done right though
Haha I was and after dropping the car back I'm missing it 😅
250hp-300hp on a 3800lbs cars feels like a 165hp honda civic base.
and loses to stock civic si on a straight.
These cars are turbo and awd though so like this one in the video you make it 400whp with a few thousand dollars spent and run mid 11s

I’m after exactly the same car I’m interested if for sale
This exact one is for sale, you can find it on carsales.com.au if you search Ralliart on there

Pretty risky letting customers drive it while it's for sale😬

That's one of the things that makes AK amazing to deal with
The term sleeper does not apply there, anybody knows thats a very fast car, and whoever pulls near it is always ready for business
Id disagree as nobody knows what a ralliart is unless they're in the Mitsubishi scene, to everyone else these just look like a generic lancer hatch

There good cars with just an outdated awd system.
I don't know if I'd consider it outdated personally
@@JacksonStrain just mean that it's a older system then the 10s. The ralliart and wagons have a older Evo 9 awd system.
Yeah I get what you mean and it's definitely not as good as the Evos SAWC
Do they make these in a manual?
No only dual clutch auto, if you want manual you'd have to get the Evo
Great car just dislike how the hatchbacks look, probably one of the more uglier cars I've ever seen
Haha it's definitely a love it or hate it thing for the hatch
Wrx rival
For sure and just like the WRX it has a lot of potential
I love the ralliarts and all lancers but I think the hatchbacks are so ugly 😂
Haha to each their own
You could sell your red evo to me and then you could buy this raliart 😃
Haha the Red evo isn't mine it's my wifes and I suggested a while back we sell it to help our house buying fund and she said hell no you sell yours 😆
Mate
Mate?
hatch not. SPORTBACK HAHAHAHA
They're literally called a sportback by Mitsubishi here that's how they're marketed and sold
