That's a damn clean build! But in my country Malaysia we don't cut it in half, instead we remove the quarter panels and cut the rear to fit the rear lamps frames and under the axle frame to fit the AWD system because in a collision it wouldn't break the chassis apart as what is done here is very risky.
Yep, this is why I pretty much prefer the older Mirage-based Lancer sedans when it comes to Lan Evo conversion. It's going to be more work on the body for later models, even though that I prefer your methods there in Malaysia rather than using cut-out rear 'donors'..
I don't see how this car would break in half when it has been joined using all the OEM factory spot weld points. I'm sure anyone building a car to this standard, knows exactly what they are doing.
@@richpolecat6527 Ahh, well that's not it for me, I can totally see that they knew how to get the job done of course. It's just that, in my own point of view, I'm not really a fan seeing the original Lan Evo get scrapped and being cut down in half.
@LeTiramiSergal the rear end was no doubt from an accident damaged car, as would most, or all of the donor components been from. I can only guess that this is in a country in which the Lancer Evolution was never imported, or allowed, like Thailand and their Nissan Skyline GTR builds. They can import parts, and front or rear clips, but not full cars, so Thailand reproduces the Skyline GTR using GTST and GTT models.
@krzysztofjarzyna7308 even on the Evo 5 conversions you need to swap the floor pan. I strongly believe special cars like evo's and sti's , type r that are low production vehicles should be legally allowed to be imported complet. Same for rs Audi's and M3 regardless of age.
Hey!!!! There is a lancer with sunroof that take the back end of an evo9 and then magically at the Paint job the sunroof disappeared 😂😂😂 because the second part is a total reconstruction of a evo9 OEM....nice try the other time maybe you can do it better
i dont know why mitsubishi didnt call the regular ancer a mirage like the old mirage's when you do the Evolution swap on those as well. A sohc lancer is not a lancer to me. lol
The point is that real Evos are getting rare and highly sought after and going up in value. So if a real Evo is crashed beyond repair the parts can be recycled to recreate another Evo. Also in some countries the Evo was never sold and they have restrictions on importing a complete real Evo. But they do allow the importation of car parts. So the only option left to own an Evo in those countries is to build your own using a regular Lancer bought domestically with the imported parts.
@@donnascolorfullife2176 If someone sourced all off the needed parts from the same car or same generation which would include the whole wiring harness and ECU it will all be pulg and play. No additional Dyno tuning will be needed un less the next owner wants to make more power like you would have to do on a real Evo anyways.
EVO parts are getting harder and harder to find and you’re wasting it by putting it into a basic lancer!? You might as well could have bought a real Evo with the money wasted into this build.
Many countries didn't get, and cannot import cars like the Lancer Evolution, Skyline GTR ect. Like Thailand. They have to build their own Skyline GTR's, because they were never imported, and cannot be imported, but the parts can.
First start up so the oil will need to circulate. I would prefer to remove the ignition and turn it over to build oil pressure first, but I'm sure these guys know what they're doing.

He cant. because its a chinese video. he copied the video.
Because it's stolen content 😂
Wow! Straight from the factory floor, awesome job, if this was in America 14 videos with hours of talking 😀
Depends who you watch and what do videos about cars have to do with America?
@1mawesomel1kethat they drag on builds in 10 video parts to make money from streaming, so there is answer
@@DoubleEspresso- you should check out gears and gasoline
@@1mawesomel1kethatthrottle takes 10mins just to build one car like the gtr

Wow 😮. What a great work and a stunning result 👍. I'm deeply impressed.

The IX is the cleanest but I had an VIII before and I really liked it.
what happened to the sunroof by the way??
I think you paid the price of a real Evo 9 for that build? Either way it's awesome!
No its half of the price as compare to original one
beautiful
so stunning
Bro I like the billed beautiful
i would like to know where i can get one of those rear cuts, in search for a future project just like this one
I didn’t know that there was such a model of a regular lancer
Why do you think it was called the Lancer Evolution? The same thing applies to the Subaru Impreza WRX STi. It's based on the base Impreza platform.
Mitsubishi lancer has evolved
Misson Imposible !
Nice car

I am not sure which country is this. in Malaysia we do this for the past 10 years. full convert include 4WD (Not legal)

So he did a rear end swap? What he did is very labour intensive . Does look good .
Yeah. Lancer Evolution also have different floor because it's AWD. It's not only visuals

I’m confident that the dude doesn’t actually do that work. I’m thinking he’s an actor

In Philippines we called it " Assembolution " 🤣🤣🤣
Easy one day job ;-)
Could anyone please list all the swapped parts?🙏
Everything apart from the front doors and front clip of body shell.
The sunroof is welded up.

They welded up the sunroof.
Why you change back body? It's different from evos?????
For the AWD rear subframe mounting and transmission tunnel.
What's the name of this song

Song name??
Guys, keep all your comments to yourselves coz they won't change nothing 😮😮
i don't really get what is the point of this?? you basically changed everything the original car had?? rear end whole front end
