90's kids will appreciate of this legendary cars, among that time Evo is a rally legend with 4G63T engine that's a beast ahead of the time and the engine changed on Evo X, best part of Evo X is Evo X Final Edition that considered rare and the best show of the time bringing Evo, GTO, FTO is Jacky Chan (Thunderbolt) and Ekin Cheng (Legend of Speed)
My wife and I got a 2008 Evo X a couple months ago because we have a baby on the way and needed a car with a usable back seat; we've been working on getting it fixed up and un-clapped-out since the previous owners were definitely closer to teenagers than not. It feels like a car with a lot of charm, we've really been enjoying tinkering with it and fixing up some of the broken bits, and your series here is definitely providing a lot of inspiration for where the car might end up!
Perfect 4 door car for any evo enthusiast! I like the fact that it's a big bigger than the Evo 8 even on the inside! I'm glad I can give some inspo on your build! Good luck and if you need anything don't hesitate to reach out!
@@ChrisGoorbarry Its not really bigger than a Evo 7-8-9 interior actually. the legroom in the rear of Evos 7-8-9 is over 3 inches spacier. the moderized roof style of the evo X is sleaker and slimmer withsmaller windows to get with the times of the era too
Wow! I've clicked this video honestly with 0 expectations, and all I found was pure gold, the just amount of explanation, detail, videography, the whole video was an journey to watch the 30 minutes!
I got my first car. a second hand 2013 Lancer EX car with 90k Kilometers on it. Its my childhood dream to own a Lancer evo. I feel so happy watching this video. there's a happiness in me that I cant explain seeing people putting so much effort to their cars. the videography is superb!
Just saw an STI rebuild from a popular channel that was done by multiple people. You doing this aaaalllllllll of this work from cleaning the old parts to filming this, together with your girl, seeing your reactions about given situations, makes this so enjoyable to watch. You know your stuff man. Makes me think wth i've been doing with my life. Hope this channel get's minimum 10x the subscribers you have now.
Greetings all the way from Trinidad and Tobago. As a former owner of a Mitsubishi Evolution IV and the current owner of a couple of Mitsubishi Galant VR-4s, I really applaud the job well done bro!! Those are the kinds of projects I love seeing. Keep doing your thing!!!
One of the greatest tragedies of the high performance motoring world is how Mitsubishi completely threw out their top class performance pedigree of the Lancer evo series
Bro this is not a video!! This is a movie masterpiece!! Im so inspired even i don't have a car i feel like i had. Soon i will buy my own car and i will return to this comment and tell to you that i achieve my goal.
The fact you were able to restore the paint, even with the scratches and dings still a bit visible (which I think gives it character), is awesome. The amount of content that you were able to compress into a 30min video, and still be able to tell your journey, is amazing. Great job!!
That’s some serious commitment. So happy for the final product. As a spare parts company owner I’ve sold engines which have sat over 5 to 10 years at our store, purchased and replaced by customers which starts first try once the proper installation is done (speaking about Japanese engines).
14:20 ❤❤❤❤❤Man I almost cried here. Starting the engine after ten years. And all your hard work to build it. It's like landing on Mars for the first time.l for me. thanks for sharing. love from south of Brazil
Absolutely loved the video. Respect to your passion and dedication. And the fact that your lady helps is an added plus. I'm a VW/Audi guy but my friend in Miami is an Evo dude to the bone. Forwarding this to him. Thanks for the smiles & God bless!
This was a real Need for Speed type thrill when you parked the car in the final take. Mind blowing! That was absolutely captivating and worth a watch till the end. Great music throughout this video. Thanks.
This is one of the greatest videos i've seen on YT this year. Amazing stuff! I've been wanting to build an Evo X from scratch, but I had the opportunity to get a W204 C63 this year. Hopefully I get to do the Evo next year.
This is the first video I have caught of yours, the attention to detail and multitude of skills you exhibit are awesome.... if you do the video edits too then you've just got everything dialled bro!
WOW.... I watched this video expecting it to be from like 2020 or something, but it's from yesterday! Evo Xs are one of my dream cars (ofc its impossible to have 1 dream car) and this video made me want one even more. Great work, you've earned a sub.
Even though this was a fast forwarded version of the full rebuild series, I did not enjoy any less. Why on earth would somebody abandoned such a beautiful piece of machinery. I really love what you do Chris well done
Man this video was awsome. you gave soo much love and respect to that evo in bringing it back to life. your smile when it cranked over showed how much it it meant to you. respect from Australia.
Fantastic video. Great job 👏🏿👏🏿 Mitsubishi really dropped the ball with the Evo and the Pajero. They should have maintained these two giants. Great cars. Greetings from Uganda 🇺🇬👊🏿🖤
Great storytelling! You not only pay great attention to detail with your car but also have very good video quality. I enjoyed the music edits, but what made me stay was the honesty and clarity of your voice and the feelings you can evoke in the viewer when that engine starts. We all celebrated.
What a good job! Luckily there are people who like to recover the soul of great cars and make their essence last over time. Hopefully we'll see an EVO XI on the roads again! Greetings from Spain.
Great video!!! The EVO is a timeless classic that is extinct now. Im so glad you were able to revive the EVO X! Giving life to a classic! Mitsubishi please revive the EVO platform and give us a EVO XI!! Enjoy it!
thank you for saving her. i own a phantom black evo x my self and it's my dail driver. she's a trea to drive. i suggest getting a oem air filter box, especially that funnel passthrough to the box actually serves a purpose of redirecting airflow.
I'm glad i found your channel came through my swipe! Now that a OCPD Car Enthusiast 🤩 Who would abandon an Evo?! Thank you for saving it man. You just made my day by every detail and parts cleaned so well. I love those wheels man, and your background music selection just gave the right vibes looking through your hard built man. Enjoy it! Cheers from Malaysia 🇲🇾 buddy
I would like to congratulate you on a job beautifully done. The result is a complete reflection of your hard work, dedication and attention to detail. I am an older man and it does my heart a world of good to see a young man like yourself put that kind of pride into a project. I hope this work is something that brings you much success!
I really liked the hard work behind this car. A lot of efforts you took behind this wheel. congo for the entire team behind this video and the automotive parts to them as well.
Great job! Just a great job!! Someone is building Evo... I spent 4 days doing brake maintenance on the Lancer X, periodically thinking how difficult it would be to service Evo brakes :)
I've never understood how people can leave one of the 4 legendary cars like that. Spura, Nissan r34, Mazda RX7, and the Evo X But! I'm so glad there are people like you who put in the time and effort.
New drop is here! evolvedgarage.com/ What did you guys think of the Evo X build?
Any rubbing issues with the 265's? You made it look like a very gently used car... great job, man.
Bro what is your gear knob? Looks so firee !!! Do let me know
Very clean
Super cool

The fact that you went the extra mile to clean all the reused parts before you put them back in just makes my day!
That friend with the engine sitting on the shelf is the unsung hero
The look on your face once the car turned on says it all, every car person who’s ever been deep into a project knows the feeling of accomplishment.

Hmmm great question I don't really know but a lot
Man, this is art. As an Evo x owner, this brought me so much joy to watch. Subscribed.
Hands down, this is the best restoration I've ever seen. It's clean and precise. In my opinion, it even surpasses the documented restorations.

South African, here.. Good job on restoring that lady to her former glory!.. There lots of 'em here in SA!..

Why? Money.
my daily driver looks more abandoned than this
Real 😂
I love a clean freak when it comes to restoring cars. Top job dude 👏
Your level of detailed cleaning is refreshing to see. So many resto vids do a superficial cleaning and its lazy. Well-done.
Thank you!
Awesome restore blog, broham!!! Keep it up!!! BTW, I just got back my Evo too after 2 years of waiting for repairs. LOL 💀💀💀
