Our local dealer quoted us $72,000 for a prime xse that they added some “accessories” on it that can’t be removed that PPF, undercoating, interior protection and a lot of non-sense to inflate the price and skirt out provincial regulations. On top of that, the interest rate is 7.99%. After seeing the figures in the finance department, We said we are not going to do the deal as the price is outrageous. We went to Porsche and bought a new Macan at 2.99%. With sport summer tires and porsche genuine winter wheel and tyre set. The dealer even gave us a lot of porsche freebies like pair of jackets, travel luggaes, umbrellas, porsche speakers and headphones and other porsche branded stuff.
@@danilika9420 haha. I know, we were so upset. When they start pushing the prices up, we started to see what other cars we can get at that price. It’s our first time to be at this kind of level so we decided if we’re gonna get gouged, might as well get a Porsche. 😂
Takes 2-3yrs here in Cda to get one on factory order! You order a 2024 by the time you take delivery, it’ll be a 2026 or 2027 MY! It’s also not going to cost $54K as you have add’l dealer markups and mandatory options/accessories tacked on by dealers plus yearly price increases! A used one is north of $60K! Good luck getting one!
Dan, I am really surprised Toyota keeps the RAV4 Prime in their press fleet when they are so hard for customers to buy. With the Camry moving to a 100% Hybrid lineup, I just don't see how Toyota can supply Hybrid batteries and drivetrain components fast enough to meet today's demand.
I can't speak to the situation this year, but I know last year Toyota Canada kept just one RAV4 Prime on the fleet and rotated it between Toronto and Montreal.
@@danilika9420 We all know that if you were running Toyota Canada, there would be no Hybrid shortage. We can also state with confidence the Corolla Wagon and GR Yaris would be for sale here. The bargain 2025 Camry LE as well as the Crown Signia XLE would be on their way. 😉😉
*YES,Forget about the RAV4 Prime and move on, unless you want to wait 3 years to order one or you like paying $$$$$ over msrp, even the regular RAV4 hybrid takes forever to order, WTF Toyota C'MON*
I for mine yesterday which was ordered 2 weeks ago at MSRP price, not any marked up. And it comes early than expected. I noticed that some dealership with it in stock because i went to one dealership first, however they have bad service, then i went to another one little bit far away from my home, and being told they have RAV 4 prime coming. Good luck everyone. you may need to find some more dealership but it worths.
Nice review. The pace in the back seems to be so little, with less legroom for the passengers in the back. I think it's the same with all Toyota models. I am trying to buy one but any Toyota that I've seen this week in dealerships near me are all very tight, not roomy interiors. Toronto.
On-board charger, does this mean that the charging cord's other end going to the house is a standard U.S. two or three prong? Not another box on the wall?
The onboard charger is the unit that more or less regulates the voltage being fed into the battery; however, plugging into a Level 2 (240-volt) charging station will always lead to faster, more efficient charging than using a basic household outlet. I hope this helps!

Now that's a serious apples-to-oranges cross-shop! Hahaha!

Had to wait 3-years to get my 2024 RAV4 Prime XSE, I really love how it drives!
If you really want one, plan ahead. Don't wait until your current vehicle needs replacing.

8Months or Double 😂

Thanks for the kind words! This is an interesting conclusion, as the RAV4 has one of the roomiest second rows out there!

Found mine on dealership lot, but guy buying it got stuck in Ukraine fighting a war
I was quoted $95k for a brand new Prime XSE after the markup, so, I cannot afford them.
Wow
The cloth seats in the SE don't look like that in the US. The ones in the US are much uglier with the huge stripes across.
Toyota have the highest interest rate on Canadian Marker 8%+ not to mention rip off at dealrship
Why are Toyota's so ugly!??
