I like the set up to clean first, looks effective. Dont think I've seen grease fittings installed with air tools before...think I'll continue to use a small wrench or socket.
Yeah this is somebody that does this multiple times a day and clearly knows what they're doing the average person would mess those up just as often as it works out😂
Na you can only fuck it once anit was just in need of the good ol but wasn't taken it this solved that really any good solvent would have worked thru a grease gun would habe been the same hell hydro fluid in the grease gun could have been doneaswell
So true. You can see the cavernous space in between the fittings that allows the vibration and the shifting to really do damage. That grease will be gone in a mile if that.
This works every time. The bushings are not necessarily worn out. Farm machinery setting up from season to season nearly always has joints where the grease sets up like concrete. You can just use a port-a-power style jack with the jack fluid, transmission fluid, diesel, or rust remover. I've used all of these. They clean out the old setup greese and allow a path for the fresh greese. This is one of the advantages farm boys have in the real world. They know how to getter done.
Haven’t seen grease fittings on leaf spring shackles on regular trucks/cars since I was a kid, heavy equipment yes but not passenger cars, I’d say plain old utility trailers could use them too
Whole lot of expert mechanics in this comment section. I just want to know where to buy it. I've tried the hammer grease joint rejuvenator but it doesn't always work. I want that thing

You need to replace the pins and bushings. You're still going to have the same problem next service. Plus your tires are going to wear out because the springs are moving all over the place and not keeping your alignment.
that blue color of the grease is beautiful , set against the drab grey machine. almost as if done on purpose, is this artistic expression or a how to grease the shackles video?
There’s supposed to be a seal in there right? Otherwise all the grease will get pushed away and not do its job.. may as well just keep putting grease in it every drive.. or replace it right..
Looks like a military vehicle service... those units needed to be replaced. No amount of grease is gonna fix a damaged bushing that has already begun to take on water
Unfortunately I've done this same treatment to heavy trucks & equipment myself in the past,, now I buy new stuff and kept serviced quite regularly.. It's hard to make a living with stuff that needs worked on all the time..🤫
If the bushing wore out this aint gonna fix that ..but over charge them and it will still have problems they will bring it back then u can replace bushing and charge them too much again. Altho i like the greese fitting idea . Manufacture should put greese fitting on way more stuff than they do
I have little fitting rejuvenators you load up with your mystery oil. Put on the fitting and hit it with the hammer and it shoots the oil through the nipple and fitting itself so flush out everything
What is that? If it’s lack of grease, and the old one she hard. It my works. But the the bushings is wiped out because of lack of grease. The all the new grease will be gone when you hit the fire pot hole
That’s a BIG 10-4, Sax Man!! To HE🏒🏒 with the GIC. They can take their Greasy ideas and go back to Greaselandia, or Greastantinople. Just leave the bacon grease - I needs it real bad (for my over easies). You can have my bacon grease when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.

That bottom one looks phooked.. look at the centre, the nipple is the centre of the pin /bush,... oil n grease isnt going to do jack this time.. It may come out easier NOW, with the Lube...
All the grease in the world isnt gonna replace the lack of bushing 😂
There metal
@jbstepchild some are made of metal, these in the video are literally missing bushings completely.

Flushing by diesel oil to remove old grease, then re greasing, nice job

Nice trick, but its still just a band aid. ;)
Nah its planned, since then the customer comes back 2 month later, and all repeats.
You can put as much grease as you want it’s not gonna fix the worn out bushings
So true. You can see the cavernous space in between the fittings that allows the vibration and the shifting to really do damage. That grease will be gone in a mile if that.
Wasting all that grease! My shop manager would ring my neck 🤣

I worked for years as a heavy equipment mechanic. I wish I had thought of this.
Втулки требуют замены нет смысла уже промывать и смазывать люфт уже в сантиметр😂
да там и пальцу карачун
Your pin bushings are worn out.
Don't worry, they'll find out when they do double work next week.
grease takes up the extra space until it leaves the shop.
Судя по люфту, смазка уже не нужна😂
Ну да, верхний палец со втулкой вышел из чата😂
Смазка нужна всегда 😊

cant argue with that
Cool. Getting all the crap out and filling with fresh grease. Good work.
Nice job?that how you do it.
Never install grease nipples with a power/air tool. Always use a hand tool.
STFU. He started them by hand and just ran them home. People who are used to doing this don't have any issues.

Лучше один раз поменять чем 100 раз помазать. 😅 учитывая стоимость смазки ☝️
The lower pin inside has not unlocked and the grease does not pass through.
If you would take a Jake and relieve the tension on the shackle the grease would get around the pen allot easier.

This lòks like a good time to replace that bushing over flushing out the grit that is wearing on the spring pin.
When i grease forklift trunion cap bushings with my electric grease gun and the grease pops through, it is so satisfying lol
What is going on here? A flush on the suspension? It's only a bandaid.

@Pancio27 Yes the grease does go through. Look at the lower right edge and you can clearly see grease coming out.
People have no idea how long a well maintained machine can serve them. They're treated as almost disposable.
