I didn't see any USB-A inputs for plugging in an iphone to charge or play music. Does this Boss model have any USB ports on the back? If i do manage to set it up for complete wireless use then it won't really matter, but if I can't get all the wireless parts or the system working right away I'd want to use my phone plugged in temporarily
I have that same stereo and I install a similar camera for my Silverado, but I can’t make it work when I put onreverse, could you explain the configuration of cables you made to work?
The backup camera came with red (power) black (ground) and purple (which I heard is needed to be used if you have a 2003 or older model) . Not sure where that purple cable goes connected I didn’t use it.
Are you able to turn the beeping off when you hit the actual volume up and down on the unit itself? Thanks! Also, when you installed the steering control adapter are those wires exposed behind old radio or do I need to fish them out from steering column? Thanks!
Yeah there’s a button you can turn off in settings. Think is auto beep or something forget what it’s called. & yeah it’s all plug and play no need to pull wires from behind steering wheel. If you want more explanation on this setup watch a video from Provo beast audio channel that’s how I was able to mine.
Steering wheel? Came stock with truck buttons and everything. Got steering wheel to connect to stereo with a Crux radio replacement got it off Walmart website. It’s plug and play.
@@victor_beltran In mine the sound is lowered just the same, I would just like to listen to the music without interference. In other generic brand stereos it is possible.
@@victor_beltran found another video that shows you how: Settings/Vehicle/Additional Settings/Volume When Reversing -- the video was in another language but the menus should be something like that. Hope this works
Yes that’s what should happen. When you put truck on reverse it automatically shows backup camera. Or while your driving down road you can hit camera button and it should show you camera as well. Case your pulling a trailer etc.
Look up a reverse camera install from "Provo Beast Audio" theres an important step to get your head unit to AUTOMATICALLY switch to the camera when put in reverse. He does a pretty good job of explaining it. Good luck!
@@Branman9000 yeah that’s who I got the idea from on the integrated camera in the tailgate. Luckily mine is plug and play and will show backup. There’s something you gotta do with purple wire which that guy shows in his video.
Been working good only complaint is I’ll drive to work roughly 10 hours and wireless CarPlay will disconnect a couple times. Can avoid if I hardwire usb but didn’t buy it for that. City driving no issues.
Should be if it’s same interior. Heard 03s or 02s have a slightly smaller dash so you may have to get a bezel for double din stereo to fit? Also the purple wire for the camera may give you issues. I did not have to use purple wire. All wires were plug and play. Backup camera goes straight into play when in reverse and steering buttons work as well.

Yes it has usb ports in back
We just installed this in my daughters car. Do you know how to adjust the balance on this unit?
Yes go to setting bottom right button, should be a gear looking button. Then hit Audio, and balance/fader. Hope that helps.

Yo where did you get te steering wheel and how did you get it to connect to the cluster

i HAVE THIS MODEL.When I put it in reverse I can't hear the stereo. How can I still have the music when I put it in reverse?
Good question, not sure tk be honest. In mine when I put truck on reverse it quiets down the music but can still hear it

What year model do you have? I think the prior models before 03 you have to use the purple trigger wire that comes with the backup camera.

what back up camera did you use?
All production used are listed in my description but the backup camera is the last one on the list 🤙🏼
How has it held up over time?

Is this the same process for an 03 2500 with bose system?

How well did the mic end up working?
It works pretty good haven’t had any complaints
