Oh, I can answer the thing about Cloud's up smash rumble. Well, it USED TO rumble when hitting the sweetspot. But when they sped it up in 7.0.0 (the update that added Byleth), they forgot to update the rumble trigger with it. The same thing happened with Toon Link's back air in the same update.
Because of Bayonetta's pendants, the reason why only her Bat-form changes and not her fists is probably because the bats she transform into are actually her while the fist is Madama Butterfly, a demon she summons to assist in battle. From what I can tell, Madama Butterfly's design did not change between Bayonetta 1 and 2, so those platinum-blue chains pendants probably did not as well which is why they won't change with Bayonetta's costume. EDIT: After checking, I can confirm that the pendants on Madama Butterflys fists are also silver in the first game.
@@KaitouKaiju Yeah, but the look of the weaves could be explained through the different graphics that not only Bayonetta 1 and 2 but also Smash Bros have.

The Clown Car double mouth thing can also be seen in Bayonetta's character trailer. It occurred with Bowser Jr. this time, so this visual bug is not Koopaling specific, which makes sense since the Clown Car animations are shared across all of the alts.
Rumble only works with the GameCube controller if you plug in both the USB cords with the adapter. If you ever wondered why it has two despite working with only 1, this is why, the second one is for rumble output
9:59 this is something i knew beforehand, and this rumble effect didnt always work like this. there was a patch that made cloud’s up smash faster, but they forgot to make the rumble effect ALSO come out faster, therefore the rumble only activates when hitting the later portion of the move.
Cloud's up Smash rumble thing is tied to a buff where they sped up the move, before that patch it worked properly. It seems the game is coded to rumble if the move hits on Frame X, but because of the speed up that frame number is now in the Sourspot portion of the move
Fun trivia about the character ryu. He has made a guest appearance in so many fighting games, that he can fight more fictional characters than any other fighting game character.
It makes me feel good that I, some random guy who just so happens to know wiki editing, came across this video very fast after it's upload, and very quickly fixed the larry tech/carry fact.
Rumble does work with every controller, I personally use a pro controller with rumble on, you just need to turn rumble on on the control settings similar to tap jump
The thing you mention about Ken's voice clip: that's a well-known phenomenon in psychology, hearing a syllable without any visual feedback can lead to some ambiguity in what it sounds like. If you saw someone's mouth while hearing it, you'd hear one or the other more clearly depending on the motion of the mouth.
Fun Fact. Cloud's Side B is the first move that is actually different depending on which way you're facing. Since the character Cloud slashes is "drawn" the same way, it ends up making the move hit differently depending on the direction you face. This means you can miss opponents facing one way that you would otherwise hit facing the other way.

Elaborating on the bayonetta no contest height difference thing, yeah it’s totally true that characters have inconsistent heights in the no contest screen. I know Dedede is noticeably shorter than normal, which I noticed when I saw it when playing Mythra against my Dedede main friend and then we quit out of a match and I noticed Mythra was almost 6 inches taller than Dedede. I tested against Shulk too and got basically the same result. I finally tested against R.O.B. (who is ever so slightly taller than Mythra/Shulk normally) and while R.O.B. was still taller than Dedede in the No contest screen, it was only by a couple inches at most, much less than Mythra or Shulk. It’s almost as if the taller a character gets, the more they shrink in the No Contest screen, which leads to some average size characters becoming taller than the tallest characters. I would have to test with every character to know for sure, but that’s my guess.
She's 8 feet tall in her own games. She towed over all the human characters. Except for Luka who for some reason is just as tall as her. Probably some oversight there.
Because the Killer Wail is supposed to be used at any time, the background is a Smash thing. Can you imagine playing a shooter game where the opponent using an ultimate prevents you from seeing your surroundings?
I play tons of Splatoon so I thought I'd comment on the stuff he wasn't sure about. The wiki is correct about the first two games in the series using the terms Inkling Girl and Inkling Boy. Like a lot of gender stuff lately in Nintendo games, 3 removed this language iirc. Like you showed, the hair glows in the games when specials are fully charged and in smash it is dulled down a lot. Finally the color stuff you were talking about is hard to answer. Generally in the games there are only set combinations of the two team colors that can appear so that the colors aren't too similar and can be told apart. These vary a little bit by games, especially when special Splatfest created combos are considered. The Killer Wail special probably has something to do with that concept but not necessarily as a reference and more of just that same philosophy of let's make sure we can tell these colors apart and it might just be a thing of all the male alts happen to have colors that better contrast against green except that green one
Fun fact: This cloud rumble thing was also in Smash for 3ds, I noticed it as a kid and found it strange and was surprised that it was still in ultimate so many years later
The fact about Bowser Jr's final smash being able to hit more times might have to do with the discrepancy between real time, and the amount of frames that have elapsed. For example, in Smash 4, when Wario used his final smash, he'd transform for 12 real-life seconds. But when Bowser used his final smash, he'd transform for 40 frames (8 seconds). Basically, if you slow the game down, the amount of frames elapsed stays the same, but real time marches on as normal. So Wario Man would only get the opportunity to use a couple of attacks at 1/4 speed, while Giga Bowser would be transformed for way more real-life seconds. Why do I bring this up? Well if I had to guess, I'd say the devs set a timer on how long a character would be unable to be hit by the Bowser Jr paint, and for whatever reason, used real time seconds instead of frames? Because characters can't be hit for a while after they come in contact with a hitbox, or else they'd just take a million damage from moves with a lot of active frames. So for this final smash they may have coded it as "player hit by this can't be hit again for 0.5 real-time seconds" which wouldn't have accounted for training mode.
This is something I am going to mention, as a fan of a lot of Smash Content Creators And coming from a fan of Useless Smash Facts by PJiggles, the comment on clouds rumble missing is actually true- as it was a coding error by the devs. There was also this issue for one of Toon Links moves, however this was patched out before the final smash update
Splatoon player here, as far as I know the characters are only mentioned as "inkling girl" and "inkling boy" on the character select screen, particularly the splatoon 2 one, but they are mentioned as such on the amiibo and in their mario kart appearances. Splatoon 3 makes no mention of gender at all, even down to the amiibo just being referred to as "Inkling (Yellow)" and "Octoling (Blue)" but that obviously came out after Ultimate did.

If you boot up FE Fates (not recommended, but anyway) and create your avatar, male Corrin will be the default. Therefore, it makes sense for male Corrin to be the default in smash as well.
Personally speaking, I've never really understood why people don't just say "they" when a character can be male or female. It's pretty much what I've always done. Granted, the Fire Emblem lords do have a "canon" gender, but that doesn't change the fact that both are represented in Smash. Only character I don't do this with is Bowser Jr. and Koopalings.
Answering some inkling questions: Yes, using Girl and Boy instead of Female and Male is mimicking the Splatoon games, as it asks if you're a girl or boy when creating your character. The color effects with Killer Whale (final smash) aren't a reference to anything cuz it doesn't even happen in Splatoon, it's just a cool thing they added for smash
Don't think it was mentioned in the first video, But just like Inklings container staying colored, If you cancel the charge of Mario's F.L.U.D.D on the frame it's finished (or one earlier I don't remember) He won't flash a whiter shade to show it's full but when you try to charge it more it'll release the water.
You could have "shown" the rumble by putting the controller on a wooden surface, putting a microphone next to it, and using the c stick to do the smash attack
Did you know that Duck Hunt (fighter) isn't a duo, but a trio? The third member is the person behind the scenes with an NES Zapper. This was revealed in Duck Hunt's trailer for SSB for 3DS/Wii U, where a person, presumably the one who's responsible for the shots on a few of Duck Hunt's moves, barely visible in the darkness of the room where the console SSB4's being played on is, points their Zapper at the screen, then reticles appear on the stage in front of the dog & duck, each followed by the shooting sound from the Duck Hunt game for the NES, and the shots aimed at the positions marked by said reticles hit another fighter.
I don't really know that much about Bayonetta, but she summons the limbs of a demon named "Madame Butterfly", for her smash attacks, so those limbs aren't hers. She's just calling for assistance.
Yes but in the games they received updated colours to match her new outfit, they also change based on the bonus costumes like the Peach dress. But in that case they were entirely separate games so likely used different assets from the ground up. Smash probably just copy/pasted for various reasons
Ken's does as well. Meta Knight's up throw can also hit people besides the person he is throwing and it KOs ridiculously early. Pretty solid doubles tactic.
Actually, I don't think the interval between hits of BJr final smash actually changes with time. The delay between hits is the same, but because you stay in the ink for longer since you move slower, you take more hits and thus take more damage. Or it might be a combination between the two. Not sure If BJr would slow down another player with the timer item, they would take more hits the same way as slowing down in Training Mode
Splatoon's amiibo for splatoon specifically call the characters inkling girl and inkling boy, I'm not sure but the final smash colors might be references to the first game's amiibo? Not sure though.
Doubt the amibo thing. The splatoon 1 amibos were girl inkling orange, boy inkling blue, green squid, Callie, and Marie Even so, the fact that it’s gender based is weird, as boy inkling green breaks the rule. I’m not sure why Nintendo did it the way they did, but we’ll never know why
Probably keep it boy and girl. There’s still slight differences in the models so there is still a difference even if it isn’t stated. The bigger question is do octolings make it in and if so, are they going to be an echo fighter or a new fighter possibly representing S2 and S3, as well as how to manage who uses what ink color since that would make 2 fighters with ink usage
@@penguinflames707 I'd hope that it Octolings become playable they get a moveset using the new weapons they added in 2 and 3. Or also using a Charger as it's not represented in Inklings kit. As for ink colors, we have enough colors in the series to have another 8 costumes. Especially if you use some of the unique Splatfest colors.
14:25 Excuse me, not really the topic of the video, but that is one of the most egregious "backstabs" I've ever seen. I get that it must've been the heavy turning at just the wrong moment but that looked absolutely wack.
Corrin being male default for the character select and female default basically everywhere else is a mishmash of expectations vs reality. Male Corrin was initially marketed more because Birthright is more or less the "canon" route for Fates, barring Revelation, and Male Corrin represents Birthright. Female Corrin meanwhile represents Conquest. I wouldn't really count Heroes for community favourites for representation, since that's more purely waifu biased, and of course the foot fetish and scalie bait character is preferred. But in the case of Warriors, it was more of a balancing thing, since Robin shows up first and is male, while Corrin shows up second, so they made her the female variant to balance the genders a bit. Byleth gets a similar treatment in heroes, but I recall Female Byleth's design being rather controversial, from her eyes being too big, to her lacy stockings being dumb. Also male byleth has that cool sleeve thing going on, so I can see him being the standard moving forward, with the Engage protag focusing on the fem version more. As for the avatars' representation in smash in general, it's more or less just because male is the default because of the male target demographic, so players could self insert over them.

“Bowser Jr. and The Koopalings” sounds like an awesome band name
Can you test if you can really angle Palutena's final smash laser? like it says in a tip
you can't
Two words:
*Left Cloud*
If only Bowser Jr.'s Final Smash worked like the slow one
Rumble works on the Pro Controller.
Curious as to what they'll do in a new Smash for Inkling as Splatoon 3 removed the gender labeling for the player characters.
I think you are totally correct for what actually happens with Larry's voice clips
Wow lol, it's so funny that Roy's clown thing's propellor is the only one of the Koopaling's that works.
4:26 This Koopaling
has no face!
A little trivia that you missed, when slowed down in training mode al of duck hunts smash atacks hits hit double so for example f smash hits 6 times
Man, those facestabs at the end make me angry lol
How to ruin Cloud mains who play with rumble as they will be disturbed when using Up smash:
"Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings" sounds like a band name
I have rumble off, but only so my joycons inner workings don't break down and cause joycon drift sooner.
10:01 it works for both joycons and pro controller.
No offence, but why didn’t you try slowing the target of bowser jr’s final smash instead of slowing bowser junior himself?
For Shulk you could've just said that his manado is bright red for his 8th colour and is dark red for all the others
12:10 so you're telling me i pulled off a frame perfect glitch on accident in a real match?
Pretty sure bayo is literally just incredibly tall, so maybe the results screen proportions are meant to be their canon heights.
Funny Enough there's also Morton who's clipping trough his clown car during the trailer that revealed them (Look at the end)
14:25 Excuse me, not really the topic of the video, but that is one of the most egregious "backstabs" I've ever seen. I get that it must've been the heavy turning at just the wrong moment but that looked absolutely wack.
As a Larry Koopa enjoyer I am distraught to find out that he has one less voice line 😭
Green inkling with blue final smash is an NB icon
"I don't want to waste time going over boring stuff" proceeds to re-present the same thing we've already seen about Ryu again
(0:20) Nah, don't "cut"/"leave out" content. Even if it's something I know, it's still interesting hearing your take on it.
7:48 I LOVE THIS WOW LOL
As for the avatars' representation in smash in general, it's more or less just because male is the default because of the male target demographic, so players could self insert over them.
hd rumble also works for pro controller
