Fact: Pit's down-b makes peaches up-special go slightly higher while her umbrella is out, essentially making her recovery never touch the ground.(until peaches recovery stops floating)
This was actually in Smash 4, on the Wii U. In the Events menu, there is a challenge to destroy all of Wrecking Crew as Mario without dying to the two enemy Warios present.
I have a fact: When Kazuya inputs 'dragon uppercut' right after a down-throw but you pressed the last two parts of the input ('A' and the stick diagonally) at the same time, he will say something before what he normally says when he uses the attack.
That black hole interaction with various things had me curious so I tested a couple things too - if Byleth is caught in a black hole, her fully charged Failnaught arrow can escape the black hole, but the partly charged one cannot. Also, if you catch someone with the galaga item, and it tries to leave in a path that goes through an opponent's black hole item, it gets caught in the item while still holding the opponent - but the beetle item does not have this same issue. It also appears that activating a final smash, even if it's something like a missed one by Marth or something - gets rid of any black hole on the screen (training mode actually won't let you spawn a black hole item if someone already has a final smash ready - you have to spawn the black hole item first).
@@deadheat1635 nope. Even when there is a crafting table on the stage, shield + b has him craft a new one where he is. If he does this, the previous crafting table disappears so that there is still only one per Steve.
So here's an interesting fact, during Spirit matches with environmental hazards, such as poisonous floor or floor causes sleep, inklings roller is literally infinite, as in it doesn't use up ink. Perhaps you could use this to test that giant inkling glitch?
@Mudkipueye Are there any surfaces immune to floor causes sleep etc? A small platform maybe? I know these types of floors often happen on Omega etc stages but still
11:03 it’s actually possible to have 4 sources of the Item Gravitation effect. If you enhance Toad into Captain Toad, its effect becomes Item Gravitation, and he’s a 3-slot Primary Spirit.
an interesting thought: so you know how Palutena's Final Smash consists of a black hole and a mega laser? does that black hole function as an actual black hole as well, or is it only locking players for the Final Smash?
If you use this spirit set, you can gain infinite height with Megaman without damage boosting, allowing you to travel as high as you want in the blast zone. To pull this off, jump as high as you can and up b, then instadrop onto Rush and use your 2 jumps, then use up b again and repeat. Primary - Additional Midair Jump (Queen Elincia/Devil Jin) - Trained in Ninja Style (for increased fall speed) Support - Instadrop (Moosh, Rocky, Miltank, Wind Man, Goda) Sound queues are helpful, mainly to know when you've bounced off of Rush.
15:31 Steve is also somewhat affected by this. He normally spawns a crafting table manually by pressing b in sheild, so holding it causes him to drop his sheild for a moment. It immediately goes back up and works after summoning it, but it’s still a minor vulnerability with him that I thought was interesting.
I think samus's jetpack going off during her final smash is for visually showing how impactful the blast must be, so she engages her jetpack to help better stableize herself so she does'nt get blasted backward by the blast. Where as with dark samus not being human they are more able to handle the force of the blast.
Iirc there was a mission in Smash Wii U where you had to break the entirety of Wrecking Crew before a CPU Wario KOs you. Although I'm pretty sure the whole building came down once the mission ended, I don't think I remember the background still being there and all barren-looking like that
Random fact: If you have vibration turned off, your control can still vibrate during a match, when the "game" or "game set" (if you're playing the japanese version) appears there's a breaf moment where if you do something that would normally do a vibration the control will vibrate even if you had the vibrations off
11:01 Captain Toad and Tom Nook (Nookington's) are primary spirits with Item Gravitation and three slots for support spirits, so I think you can actually have up to four tiers of Item Gravitation. I don't think it would be enough to beat the Black Hole though.
If I remember correctly breaking all of the wrecking crew layers was an actual objective used in Smash 4's challenge mode or whatever you call it. I think you had to use Mario/Luigi and break it all while dodging enemies that always respawn
fun facts about the sheik glitch (I also submitted it lol) but the effects also happens when you have the recovery item gravitation effect active (like in the WoL skill tree) which is interesting since that might mean the game considers sheik’s grenade as a recovery item (like food) for some reason. also I recommend trying out the glitch with the phantom thieves spirit item auto-grab for some goofy looking combos
Samus's thrusters are most likely firing to prevent her from being pushed back by the Zero Laser's intense recoil. Strangely, Dark Samus doesn't have thrusters, but still doesn't recoil from the Phazon Laser. By the way, these thrusters are part of some animations in Metroid Dread: they power the Speed Booster and Shinespark as well as activating during some cutscenes.

From the little bit of World Of Light I played, I think wrecking crew is spawned at 20 so that it isn’t you against a spirit + infinite rng. There was this one ROB fight for a spirit and I recall the stage ending layers at around the same time (or faster if I intentionally attacked it) and I used this fact to eventually beat it.

Two interesting facts that I recently came across while playing smash ultimate: If you're playing dedede and your opponent summons shadow the hedgehog, if you inhale your opponent right as shadow begins to slow you down and then immediately spit them out, you'll become immune to the slowing effect. Idk if this is just my bad internet tho.
I found out that if you star ko someone as snake, while using his final smash, the missiles will still hunt the person in the backround of the stage. I dont think they take damage though
In Smash 4, there was actually a challenge to destroy all the layers of the Wrecking Crew Stage. I'm fairly certain the normal battle version of Wrecking Crew in both Smash 4 and Ultimate are endless but they made a special version for that challenge so it's possible that the Spirit Battles actually uses the Special Version that was made specifically for that Challenge in Smash 4.
Speaking of spirits, just a few weeks ago, I managed to finally get them all! Including the evil Ryu one, which was a pain in the butt. Makes me glad I'm a Ganon main. I also finished all the re-fights a few days later! "Re-fights", as in the whole function of fighting spirits for a high score thingy. I even made it a bit extra of an achievement by using appropriate characters for the fights (Mario fighters for Mario spirits, Zelda fighters for Zelda spirits etc.) Felt extremely satisfying!
I only need 4 more spirits to 100% it, and since I 100% World of Light also.... and the entire game for that matter! I'm serious I have done almost everything! All the songs, all the pictures, played every character, used every move, played casual but mostly competitive, played every mode, EVERYTHING, except for those 4 spirits and its driving me crazy.
Idk if anyone else said this or if you already knew or have said it, but there are 2 extra jump spirits, primary and secondary, and they stack. They also stack with the extra jump buff from the spirit mode skill tree
With the Inkling thing my theory for why it works like this is that, considering the area you can ink get larger when you are smaller, maybe it was intended to make the area you can ink smaller when you are larger, but maybe trying to make the area smaller overflows whatever number the game is drawing from for the limit, maxing it out.
One interesting thing I discovered is that any size change is immediately undone if a cinematic final smash play. It can even cancel kamikaze is done correctly.
Not completely sure if this is the case, but I feel like the case with Snake’s shield has something to do with his C4, which you use Down B to activate.
Spirits can be real weird in Smash, there's a few strange things I've noticed with them, here's just a few: - For some reason, one of the Unharmed Attacker/Speed abilities has a weird effect on Pichu, causing the first part of it's Up B to go nowhere, but only at 0%, and the move works normally afterwards - The Bahamut ZERO spirit is effectively...ineffective. For some reason, characters with spirits equipped actually take reduced damage from Final Smashes, and the boost the Bahamut ZERO spirit gives is not enough to negate this - Samus and Dark Samus's Up B recieve boosts in their horizontal distance with speed spirits equipped, but only if you use the grounded version of the move - Ryu and Ken's Side B actually take into account jump boosting spirits if the move is done from a jump, causing them to go higher than normal with the Tatsumaki. If done frame by frame, and jumping, then on frame 4 of the jump, inputting a Tatsumaki (Preferrably with Side B), this causes Ryu and Ken to go REALLY high - Spirit Styles via the World of Light Dojo don't tell the truth. Both Runner Style and Ninja Style state they greatly boost run speed, but Ninja Style actually boosts it slightly more than Runner. On top of that, some Styles change stats that aren't even stated in the dojo info And some not spirit related ones, but Mega Man's Metal Blades, R.O.B's Gyro and all of the Link's bombs are affected by Stage Builder wind. Speaking of projectiles, Galeem's lightning ball projectiles seemingly don't count as projectiles, as they can't be reflected, absorbed or pocketed in any way.
What I especially wish about Spirits is that there was a way to just make them keep a character's stats normal while giving them the effects of the Spirits. I wish so much that I could properly make Spirit sets that didn't raise attack or defense unless a Spirit's own effect does that.
Maybe the inkling ink amount is linked to the characters set speed value. Like how fast the are going. So if you multiply the run with the ink roller by whatever number the mushroom is, that’s how much ink you have? I dunno
Thank you for explaining the shield thing to everyone. It’s hard to show them how to do it online. I press and hold the B button and wait until the animation is done instead of shielding right away. Then I start shielding and moving it around a lot and they still just don’t get it.
Something I just discovered: With Byleth, if you use her down special in the air while falling down and time the swing to hit the platform, Byleth will stay airborne for a bit while the axe is stuck in the ground!
last fact, about snake and the grenade, I think it is possible. I do not know how the code actually works, but I have a bit of coding experience. And depending on how certain checks happen, the fact that something is an option for a character (eg holding a grenade) might influence how certain interactions work internally.
The wrecking crew scenario reminds me of an event battle in smash 4, where the goal was to destroy a certain amount of floors on that stage while avoiding a cpu. Maybe there was gonna be a spirit battle where that was going to be the goal? Idk, just an idea
I have found out something cool. Incineroar with a dragaux primary spirit trained in the tank style has a walking speed of exactly one training mode unit per second.
Another fact I just discovered. Mewtwo down B deals damage but you CAN'T kill with it in stamina mode. Or at least, not on last stock, haven't checked on other stocks
7:54 The article isn't referring to the status effect; rather it's referring to the attack type. The Ramblin' Evil Mushroom is the only source of that attack type - Supernova doesn't use the "mushroom" attack type, it just inflicts the "Mushroom" status effect with no in-between step. On that note, why didn't you bother fixing it yourself? The SmashWiki is open to anyone to edit.
Idk if this fact will get seen but: The star effect on Star KOs is a UI element, appearing over objects like the Nintendogs assist trophy. The only other Smash game in which this is the case is Smash 64.
Here’s a fact- Yoshi doesn’t punch in any of his attacks, which might be a reference to Super Mario 64 DS, in which not only does he not punch, but a sign implies he is incapable of doing so. He does throw some punches in a win pose, and can box in Mario and Sonic (which is inconsistent because sonic can swim) but I just found it interesting for them to reference that.
Useless Fact: R.O.B's final smash acts weird when at the top blast zone. The large laser will still fire, but the smaller lasers used to attract opponents will not appear, causing this awkward silence where they'd usually be.
Useless Fact 2: Using the right stick in a situation where you're unable to perform smash attacks (like a helpless state, or riding in a minecart), it will instead nudge you in that direction. Repeatedly moving it will build up speed/power.
The interesting thing about Hero's Zap spells is that they deceptively aren't projectiles. If you try reflecting them, you're just going to get zapped.
As someone who has modded switches for myself and my friends, it's not actually scary, you just have to pay attention to the tutorials (go for written not video switchpiracy has the most up to date one if you wanna go to reddit) the first thing theyxdo is say "hey if your switch has a spiral number exceeding this range don't do it" and if it is, don't get a mod chip or anything its not worth it, but if it is within range you can then make the decision of if the benefits out way the con(no online without booting back to payload) I personally think it does however I also play online on a playstayion instead of my switch so you can decide that for yourself
I actually remember that wrecking crew had a limit in smash 4. Although I might be wrong, but I distinctly remember a mission where you had to reach the limit of wrecking crew but I'm pretty sure it could be done in a regular match too.
It was one of the event missions, however the limit wasn't present in a normal match Since spirits are just glorified event battles, the limit may be there because of Smash 4 leftovers they forgot about

16:14 Oh wow they made the Phermosa look even more like Lusamine by making the shiny matchyo with her pants.
That's neat.
Something I just discovered:
With Byleth, if you use her down special in the air while falling down and time the swing to hit the platform, Byleth will stay airborne for a bit while the axe is stuck in the ground!
Honestly after Ult stopped getting supported with updates I honestly expected to stop seeing these videos. So thanks for continuing to deliver!
last fact, about snake and the grenade, I think it is possible.
I do not know how the code actually works, but I have a bit of coding experience. And depending on how certain checks happen, the fact that something is an option for a character (eg holding a grenade) might influence how certain interactions work internally.
That sheik combo went from 0 to 100 real quick
The wrecking crew scenario reminds me of an event battle in smash 4, where the goal was to destroy a certain amount of floors on that stage while avoiding a cpu. Maybe there was gonna be a spirit battle where that was going to be the goal? Idk, just an idea
12:54 The training mode squares are meters. It's assumed Mario is 5 feet tall and thus he stands about 1 and a half squares.
12:37 ok so we’re just gonna casually not notice the sick item combo
Isaiah Photo has actually found out how many licks it takes to reach the center of a tootsie pop! What a legend
You can’t tell us this without saying how many licks it takes
Well how many was it
@@ToasterThruster accroding to the video, 268, but other studies have shown various different results
He does lots of crazy things. Cool dude.
8:02 hey please never call it a brap cloud ever again thank you
“Yoshi’s downair can tank weaker hits” that thing just ignores a sweet spot falco dair at 50, which would normally spike and kill
Wow, this might be the first sponsor I've actually maybe wanted.
It's so amazing ...
I wish I had extra money
2:00 It takes 492 licks to reach the center of a Tootsie Pop.
I have found out something cool. Incineroar with a dragaux primary spirit trained in the tank style has a walking speed of exactly one training mode unit per second.
The limitedt layers of Wrecking crew only being for Spirit battles is weird, since I do remember seeing that in Smash 4, but for regular battles
damn 2 hours in wrecking crew. crazy dedication. good video
Yo that sheik combo was sick
16:10 yes it is a cool shiny.
In fact, the best shiny.
When you grab Luigi and use up throw as charizard immediately after Luigi misses a grab, Luigi's plunger glitches out
never been earlier before, but what a pleasant way to spend my sunday afternoon :)
Another fact I just discovered. Mewtwo down B deals damage but you CAN'T kill with it in stamina mode. Or at least, not on last stock, haven't checked on other stocks

The article isn't referring to the status effect; rather it's referring to the attack type.
Speaking of Wrecking Crew, if one of those barrels falls on top of you, you will be inside of it and eyes will appear on the front of it
I have something:
The timer in PS2 has a 3 milliseconds delay to the actual timer of the match
(Yeah, that's the only thing I could find)
Idk if this fact will get seen but:
The star effect on Star KOs is a UI element, appearing over objects like the Nintendogs assist trophy.
15:28 Also Steve, as he spawns the crafting table
Good job on the wrecking crew thing bro
The interesting thing about Hero's Zap spells is that they deceptively aren't projectiles. If you try reflecting them, you're just going to get zapped.
I like these facts. They may be pointless, but they are also very interesting to learn.
leaving a comment for the algorithm because you spent 2 hours of life you'll never get back
I am as well.
Sephiroth canonically has the power of Ramblin' Evil Mushrooms in Smash
In smash 4 there was an event where you had to break all the platforms of wrecking crew
Reason for wrecking crew spirit battles to be on a finite version is so there's no RNG on the layer spawns. I think.
Im sorry you had to suffer through wrecking crew in the name of science I appreciate the search for content a lot thank you
I actually remember that wrecking crew had a limit in smash 4. Although I might be wrong, but I distinctly remember a mission where you had to reach the limit of wrecking crew but I'm pretty sure it could be done in a regular match too.
It was one of the event missions, however the limit wasn't present in a normal match
Since spirits are just glorified event battles, the limit may be there because of Smash 4 leftovers they forgot about
@@ItsLeavee ah okay.
I need more TF2 videos
I just found out about your second channel and would love to see more now that I actually play TF2
Thanks for the video :)
the wrecking crew fact was used for a smash 4 evant ware you try to take down the tower while wario is trying to fight you
If jigglypuff’s shield breaks he goes flying strait up and dies unless there is an obstruction
It means Samus is harder to punish for a missed Final Smash.
A funny idea about Snake not being able to do the last trick is that the Shield+Special is an input for an unused move so it doesn't do anything 🤔🤔
Steve also can’t do the Shield B thing cause… you know, Crafting Table
