I love the new Ranger! Looking forward to seeing them on the car lots!
Me too!
I saw a video with the ranger having a orv performance package on it. My question is, would that be a good option as an off road vehicle? Is the package worth it?
Why do I not see the diff lock button?
Not that I would buy from there but I wonder when Tyler Ford will have some of these in stock. Really nice looking truck.
The website lists a Ranger Raptor as in transit…
@@GTGarageTalk yeah that Raptor is sharp but too pricey. Not to mention the hail storm Sunday beat my Tundra to death. Gotta get that fixed before I can trade it in anyway.
@@texasvet7241 that hail was INSANE!!! damaged our personal vehicles, but not the $120K Benz we were testing...that one got the garage.
@@GTGarageTalk both of our cars got a good beat down. But my bass boat was tucked away in my shop. Priorities. 😂
Nice styling, but the bed is not long enough to be useful as a truck, and you can't get a longer one. It's just an SUV with an uncovered trunk.
Taco or Frontier are your options for the longer bed.
If they were offering it with the 2.7L it'd be worth it for me. But it has an unknown release time.
I feel like the whole lineup is under an unknown release time.
Is there a problem with the 2.3 EB?
The issue I was trying to raise was its longevity. There is an old saying (a light that is twice as bright burns half as long). The extra stresses on an engine with one or more turbochargers will wear out sooner than later.
They all have turbos in them now including Toyota Tacoma
@@tommyboy0379
At least Nissan is holding out this current year.
@@usnr5950 true, but funny thing about the Ranger. You cant find them anywhere? Whats up with Ford? They have a glut of F150's but you cant find a 2024 Ranger?
i used to think that but a friend has a 3.5 turbo and it has 480 thousand miles on the thing and still is running strong now the turbos were replaced at 300 thousand but still impressive.
NONE--- even the F-150's are missing. MY dealer usually has 2-300 F-150's but now has only 50.. All XL & XLT--- 2 Lariats, nothing higher!!!
Less wheelbase than the GM twins and quite a bit less than the Taco. I would think that would make the overall ride quality not as good as the competition. Looking forward to testing one out someday.
Yet they made the back seat the most comfortable.
I’m looking forward to driving one too. We rode in a Raptor in Detroit last year.
Please mention the Ranger has Amber Turn Lamps in the taillights….the other midsize offerings DO NOT have them …..important safety feature….the prior model also had them …..the overseas market model has rear AC….but not the US….as soon as a designer has a screaming two year old in the back seat who’s too hot maybe that will convince FORD
Living in Florida, that rear AC also helps cool the cab...... Ford screwed ip on this one.
Hope it works out for Ford as this design is--- blah!!!
Engine performance is lacking majorly in comparison to the GM trucks. Less torque, even on the upgraded V6 option. Nice interior here though. Looks to me like Ford has LED headlights for a lot less cost compared to Chevy also, which is a must for me.
👍🏼
We are anxiously waiting our chance to drive one to report back how it compares.
Try the Raptor ranger with 3.0 TT 400 hp smoking in 0 to 60 all the GM midsize truck!
Id offer 25 35% lower for the ridiculous MSRP
Is the interior better than the Tacoma? You better believe it and more comfortable. Toyota's interior it basically the same as my 2015 Tacoma.
I feel the 2024 Tacoma is a big departure.
Nice interior but its like putting lipstick on a pig. It’s still a highly overpriced unreliable 4banger truck.
You can get the EcoBoost V6 in these.
@@GTGarageTalk In theory. Some day. LoL. At least for the 2.7 where its at the back of their priority list.
@usnr5950 The only one left in the segment with a V6 is the Nissan Frontier. Its a nice truck but their tech is subpar with poor cameras and outdated infotainment, no integrated brake controller, and of course low toque compared to the 4banger turbos. Every mid sized has its comprimises. Chevy/GMC still struggles with electrical reliability. We will see how the new Taco does.
Ford Ranger 4banger has been in the market for quite a while without any problem and will smoke any 4 banger in the market in 0 to 60 including the Toyota Tacoma 4banger guaranteed! 👍👍👍
Remember as well that you can get a performance upgrade (that retains warranty coverage) on the 2023 Ranger 4 cylinder; given that it's the same engine, I would think it will be offered for 2024, as well. It boosts the power to 315 hp, 370 lbs. of torque. Runs strong through the 10 speed automatic. I'm not sure why you're saying it's unreliable, as it's a fairly bulletproof engine that can tow 7,500 lbs.
The rims are among the ugliest I've ever seen,no creativity, should be nicer for over 40 k,I think I'm scared to find out how much the 2.7 cost.seems over priced, customer service at Ford is horrible, compared to toyota
