I love listening to your voice. You have a great storytelling voice. I love all your adventures. I stumbled onto your TH-cam channel and one new videos come up. I always love to watch them. Thank you so much for taking us all on these wonderful adventures. I live in Abbotsford so I know Merritt very well, hope you have a lot of fun at the wedding Jenny. Take care looking forward to more videos.
When traveling through this area, my wife and I always stop at Monck provincial campground across the Nicola Lake from the Hotel. You get wonderful view from there of Quilchena and the hotel and the rolling hills behind it. Then, if heading north, we always take Hwy 5A which is treat when compared to the main busy #5 Yellowhead. Your videos are always heart felt and bring back fond memories and I just love them! Cheers.
Hi Jenny, Thank you for sharing more about your story . What a pocket full of information you carry with you 😊. You share so much cool stuff . so happy you have a place and person that you want to be with away from work. Beautiful walk thank you. Thank God you can video chat 👌 Stay safe and happy & keep smiling 🇨🇦 Craig
Thank you, Craig! I am so happy to share these stories with you! I have a really great support system in and out of work that I’m so thankful for. I’m so happy you enjoyed my video and I’m excited to share the next one! Also I am definitely thankful for video chat!! Take care and thanks again!!
Jenny, I cannot tell you how happy I am that you came into my brother’s life. You were like medicine for his heart. I hope you had the best break. See you sometime soon ❤
The one thing I noticed most about the Douglas Ranch were their Beautiful horses! We spent a lot of time at Nimpo Lake (Stewarts Lodge). Arriving by our Foatplane @ Car from Tacoma. Also flew into Rivers Inlet for fuel. ( Beautiful country and Experience). Maybe again this fall.🙂
Great video, the cinematography and narration is excellent, very informative. That is a beautiful area , you're so lucky to live in such a scenice area, thanks for taking us along.
I have the attention span of a gnat and I loved every minute of this video. The cattle ranch at the end was an unexpected surprise. I'm giving this video a 9.5/10. A half point deducted because you didn't go into the mine. 😂
If you ever get tired of being a chef you definitely could do audio books. You have a very relaxing and calming voice. I throw in my Raycon earbuds and about 10 mins in I’m ready to go to sleep. This is awesome because I suffer from severe tinnitus from multiple IED explosions from being deployed to Iraq. It is either tone of your voice or the light musical background that makes the ringing less or drowns it out. Awesome video as usual. 🍻🍻 O and GO OILERS!!!!!
You never stop surprising us!!! I worked on the DLR maybe 10 years before you were born dear, Stay cool, love your Partner!!! ( Who has very good taste) Enjoy life and I hope someday, I get a chance to meet you guys from my boàt as it's really hard to get to meet genuine people with a purpose in life with the balls to portray it on video!!!!!!!!! Good on you ❤ Just a old dude from Pender Harbour BC ☮️👍😎😺😺
Jenny another beautiful video. You and Brent appear to be a match made in heaven….er er Quilchena! Safe Travels and looking forward to seeing you back at the cannery!! Cod Bless!
Always entertaining and so neat to see that beautiful countryside. Thanks for the detailed history and for taking the time to share! And yea our dog is a poo eater as well! 🐾
Brett has done a great job on your hood mounted go pro. No shaking, vibrating or bouncing. Loved the Quilchena trip, and Mini eats too much poop!! 🤮 Enjoy your drive to Barrhead.
Your eye for composition, and the level of your cinematography are outstanding, along with of course, your inventive skills as an artisan chef. Can't tell you how much I've been enjoying this channel since becoming a subscriber a month or so back. I can't believe you don't have at least 50K subscribers. Go Oilers! Cheers.
Great video Jenny! We had some fun family get-togethers in that RV park . Love the Quilchena area. Tried frozen raspberries instead of raisins in my scones this morning, worked well! Thanks for the tip in your last video. Your videos are truly a joy to watch we're always looking forward to the next one!!
Quilchena and Douglas lake holds a special place in my heart too, Thank you for this wonderful story about you, your life there, and the Brent conncetion. If you ever get the chance folks, take the time to visit this historic and incredibly beautiful part of BC. The 'old road' to Kamloops from Merrit is a wonderful drive, as is the road south to Princeton.
So true! It’s a beautiful scenic drive for sure! So cool to hear you’re familiar with this area. There is so much history here and is beautiful to explore this time of year as it’s not too hot yet. I remember one year in August I tried to do that same walk and didn’t even get halfway before feeling nauseous and seriously overheating. Thanks so much for your support!!
I’m a member! Don’t get too excited….you can’t retire on $9 a month. 😂 it’s not much but glad to help contribute to your great channel. Another entertaining video! Thanks Jenny. Have fun at the wedding. I’m sure you will knock your speech out of the park! I’ve always found when they come from the heart they are much easier! Glad Brent will be there too given your time away from him at the lodge. Cheers. Doug. PS. Go Oilers!
Your embrace of lodge life and relaxing days off in Quilchena is truly wonderful and rejuvenating! It's a perfect blend of nature, tranquility, and joy. And I am floating village life.
Such a much better lifestyle than the mundane 8-5 Mon-Fri work life (Oilfield)! Fellow Albertan here, living on Vancouver Island. GO OILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Video again. That was interesting seeing the Douglas Lake Ranch My cousin was the manager for a few years. I always wanted to get out there, but unfortunately never made it. I’m looking forward to seeing your Barrhead video. My wife is from Bloomsbury. We haven’t been back for a few years.
Great job as always, Jenny. Also, a look into the history of Mustang Survival gear is well worth it, a local BC company with a great history and world-wide renown.
Love your videos . Seeing the logging roads growing in is like the veins of the body supplying us with what we need to live . It saddens me a bit that flying into Vancouver is returning to the “ real world “ but that is reality , i left in 1975 as it was getting crazy. I hope Brents venture at Suskeena goes well , i have 30 years of fond memories on the Morice/Bulkley chasing steelhead and much more on the Thompson.👍🏼❤️
Thank you for sharing about the Douglas Lake Ranch. Many years ago as a tour bus driver I was about to talk about the ranch and its history as we passed though the Merritt area. It was wonderful to hear you talk about a the ranch and how large it is. I look forward to every video and you always leave me wanting more.
Good idea take some time off doesn't hurt long she got your job back A no reason why you took time off. And we're that old mine is if our old bears are sleeping
Another beutiful secenic adventure with Jenny Adrift !! 15 yrs ago I visited Campbell River BC. On the flight in a smaller plane like in this video from Vancouver to Campbell River and back, I saw several bucnches of 5-10 black dots out in the water, well away from shore as well as another passenger did also. Would those have been pods of whales or was I just seeing rocks??? Probablly 4-5 groups each flight. I have always wondered what i was seeing. Tom B
Nice Beaver! Thanks. I just had it rebuilt. LOL. I love the old Beaver float planes. We had one at my A&P school back in the early '80s, but it was on wheels.
No doubt I need a lot of help still. I’ve been filming on my iPhone and I don’t always fix audio issues while I’m editing so it’s not perfect. Thank you for watching though!
Having lived in a valley off hwy 8 frm 1980 to 2000 i never saw it that green this time of year. Sort of looks like Ireland with the mist.Normally you would prob be doing a tick check on yourself and pooch this time of year.
Jenny another beautiful video. You and Brent appear to be a match made in heaven….er er Quilchena! Safe Travels and looking forward to seeing you back at the cannery!! Cod Bless!

Thanks for sharing Quilchena! I have lived in Vancouver my whole life and I have never driven to Nicola Lake. Thank you!
When traveling through this area, my wife and I always stop at Monck provincial campground across the Nicola Lake from the Hotel. I drove through Merritt a couple weeks ago. Was really surprised how green it still was. Great video as always.
you don't very often see the valley that green.

I admire your strong spirit and desire to try new things. Will you go back to Good Hope after the wedding?
Yes I will be back up at the lodge in July and I’ll be there until the end of September. Many more adventures in Rivers Inlet to come!
Nice Beaver! Thanks. I just had it rebuilt. LOL. I love the old Beaver float planes. We had one at my A&P school back in the early '80s, but it was on wheels.
Another excellent adventure… your videos are always so great Jenny!! hope you had fun at the wedding… are you still in AB?
Hi Lois! Sorry I’m slow at getting back to comments sometimes! We are all up at the lodge now and almost ready for guests. ❤️
Wasn't there bullet holes in the bar at the hotel? Such a cool area, the wild west.
Yes the bumper holes are still there!
I get a crush on they just set it on the news Good whole area is been told they had to move leader area vacate fires I'm fair sized right now
I stand corrected, Brent, not Brett.
I bet your dog had some extra bladder problem
PLEASE get a software or hardware de-esser!!!!
No doubt I need a lot of help still. I’ve been filming on my iPhone and I don’t always fix audio issues while I’m editing so it’s not perfect. Thank you for watching though!
