LODGE LIFE DAYS OFF- Part 2

  • Welcome back to Lodge Life! Part 2 of my 3 weeks off from the lodge.
This week we are heading to my home town, Barrhead Alberta to visit my family and a very special friend who is getting married.
I drove down one of my favourite highways, the 5a, from Quilchena to Kamloops and continued through the mountains before crossing into Alberta. The most beautiful part of my drive home is Jaser National Park where I saw some sheep crossing the road.
Once I got home I basically put down my phone and stopped filming as I was really enjoying my visit with family. Soon I was helping my friend prepare for her wedding day. She planned for 175 guests and everyone came together to set up the event. It was so great to be a part of it!
The wedding day was so beautiful, even now going through some footage I am crying watching the ceremony. It was a beautiful day and I am so happy for Julie, Ian and their girls!
My nephew, Raymond is joining me up at the lodge this season and will be helping Randy and I in the kitchen. We had one night in Richmond so we grabbed the sky train and headed downtown Vancouver for some food and drinks. The next morning we caught the plane from South Terminal and were on our way to Port Hardy. After a 4 hour wait we finally boarded the Goose to fly us the rest of the way to the Lodge. It's so great to be back!
I will be here now until the end of September and soon we will have guests which is very exciting! Im looking forward to sharing more Rivers Inlet content with you all soon!!
Thank you so much for watching and take care until next time!

Love the videos Jenny!! My wife and I don't live on the coast anymore but this really brings back the memories. I've never been as far north as Good Hope but we've spent countless days on the Sunshine Coast enjoying the raw, rugged landscapes. One day I hope to make it all the way up there but in the meantime your channel definitely scratches that itch. Keep up the great work and have an awesome summer!

One Fabulous Wedding ,, wow !! Day to last a lifetime ,,
and wonderful memories and example set for all the young people there ,,
The warm feelings of going to the place we lived, around the time we were 10,
they say that is the place we always call home ,,
The road to Alberta could be a video itself ,
I get warm feelings at Jasper , so many great memories of the land south to the Trans Canada from there, and a fabulous family holiday around Jasper in 2011.
Ahh,, BC in the summer, my childhood dream,
    growing up in N. Ontario,
became reality at 18 yrs old ,,, job in Port Hardy
