This is actually an extremely powerful advice. I used to overthink so much in the past and I had so much anxiety. Then I started keeping on my phone 2 lists:
    1) a list of “tasks” so whenever I had a thought of fear/anxiety about the future I would take note of this so I know this is a problem and I will have to face it and find a solution
    2) my second list is a to-do list. This is a daily list of all the little steps I need to do TODAY. I would check the first list and think of what are my biggest problems and what little steps I can take today to get closer to my end goal
I even force myself to complete each task in a certain amount of time to make sure I don’t postpone it for tomorrow.
This will free up so much space in your mind, it’s unbelievable. And it will force you to focus on what you can control: your ACTIONS

The overthinking comes when you have to think of both the step and the destination. The journey is what we go thru trying to do both. otherwise you won’t know where you’re going. People with no vision/knowledge, perish.
No worry. But do plan and prepare or your next step forward could be a few steps back from the GOAL.
Work on the FEELING of overwhelmed. Replace it with empowerment. Good advice for empowerment’s. MANAGE the journey, don’t [try to] control it.

"Don't worry about the past, they are just memories. Don't worry about the future, it just consists of expectations. Live in the present, its the only thing you can change. "
    A very similar story.

Sometimes quotes are great but to practically get out of your head and good technique is to be in touch with your senses and your body, this helps ground me when I start to overthink and can't turn off my thoughts 😊

The beauty of that for overthinkers is that they have planned where they need to go, so the steps will be likely to be productive if you can just take them.

Yess!!! The same thing i say to everyone. Live in the present and dont live in the future too much. Yes we do want to make such goals and complete that goal as much as possible. But we cant achieve that goal if we wont take a step forward. Live in the present or focus on what is in front of you rather than the way ahead.
