1 HOUR FULL BODY WORKOUT with Dumbbells - Strength & Cardio | Circuit Series Day 4

  • Ready to put the work in? 60 minutes of strength and endurance, with emphasis on thinking about alignment of your entire body with each movement whilst heart rate is elevated with some cardio full body movements! This full body workout will challenge you in many ways!
    Below are some points to think about when performing these movements!
    Wide to Narrow push ups
    Aim chest to floor, not the head! It is easily done without realising sometimes but keep neck steady, looking straight between hands and core & lower body braced!
    Rows
    Best to begin in a standing position. Literally stick the chest out, retract shoulders, push hips back to lower into position. Your back should remain steady! Ensure you move through full range of movement!
    Shoulder press
    Keep knees ‘soft’ rather than bent. Keep elbows slightly in front of being in line with shoulders.
    Romanian Deadlifts
    During any of the RDLs in this session, take your time! Manipulate your position to feel deeper stretch in hamstrings by slowing it down, pushing chest out even more, ‘slight’ bent at knee, dumbbell close to body throughout! I like to pause for a second to really allow muscles to lengthen.
    The timer will be on for 40 seconds of work, 10 seconds rest.
    We have 1 minute rest between 3 complete rounds of each circuit!
    For this full body workout, you will need a pair of dumbbells, your mat and a chair for dips, decline push ups and Bulgarian lunges!
    The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 10kg!

    It's just amazing how much I've learned to control my mind during the past couple of years that I've been working out with Caroline. By the middle of Circuit 2 my shoulders were burning and I couldn't help thinking that I wouldn't make it through the end... But guess what? I did and performed much better than I thought I would. By the time I finished the workout the sense of accomplishment was enormous! I'm so proud! 🔥💪

    Doing some of the earlier workouts after doing epics and endgames and heats and irons ... And wow , old is still gold .... So much so that we can do all the CG workouts and keep shifting to more intensity and higher weights .. and we keep growing without looking out for alternatives ..

    Edit: just completed it and oh boy was it tough? I was sweating and panting throughout this session and in the begining I was feeling quite weak as I was not even able to do like 10 reps of the dumbbell exercises but after the first circuit I just got in the groove and started loving it! This was really really challenging one so don't worry if you feel like you can't do a particular move with heavy weights! This one hour was more than enough ! Thank you caro💓💓

    Happy friday everyone and Caroline! Every week went by so fast. I just want to share this one with you Caroline. I started my journey a year ago of this month because I got cough and cold and it took 2 months since I got cured and I started my fitness journey to get fully healed of it. I have a really weak immune system and body. In the last 2 days, I slept with my mama and papa and my papa coughs the whole night and my mama too. And you know what? I didn't get a cough eventhough I am exposed to them. And I've been active since monday since it is our laundry day. I even do our laundy after we go to wet market and I didn't have any issue. These days I also feel much active than tired. Thank you so much, Caroline! Also thank you for changing my mindset that working out is for aesthetic only. I also used to get so tired and grumpy even in just a few hours out before. Now, eventhough I am not toned I am stronger than before and I will keep on doing it since I am finally get to have this strong body. This is really epic. ❤

    I did this twice a week, 3 weeks in a row consistently. (I also weight train other days, I just do this cause I find i have so much energy on a caloric surplus and struggle to get my daily steps in).
    Let me tell u I could not do push ups or shoulder press. This is my 4th week in and I can do push ups and shoulder press. I find this helped me to much with stamina at the gym on the days I do my normal weight training. Also I see definition on my back like holy moly. You are amazing Caroline!

    Oh this looks fire! Love the weekly full body one hour work outs! I've got my husband joining me while we are in lockdown and he is thoroughly enjoying your workouts Caroline!       Well that did not disappoint on a gloomy Saturday morning! I must admit, I did curse at Caroline a few times during that work out and told her she was a masochist! LOL. Loved the challenge - possibly one of my favourite one hour work outs because it was really a mental challenge!!

    Oh wow! That was definitely a sweaty one! I am just amazed you know exactly how far to go for us to push our limit! I managed to use 2 20 lb weights throughout (even the finisher) except for the shoulder press. I dropped to 15 lbs each so I could focus on form and go slower. I thought this workout went so fast and it left me wanting more! Thank you so much Caroline! I will be enjoying my rest day tomorrow. ❤️ How did everyone like this?

    Another amazing workout, thank you! Being a heavy weights girl, and with gyms being closed in South Africa, this workouts challenges me in so many ways. I love the fact that you do 3 sets and not constant no repeats, it fatigues the muscles in a good way!

    Just as I thought I've grown stronger with CG's workouts and could keep up, this session gave me a good reality check and brought me right back to ground zero (in a good way)! I was trying so hard to catch my breath and continue with the rest of the moves after every pushup, and my arms were literally shaking like jello. CG's workouts never fail to challenge and gave me an adrenaline rush, I'm just so stoked to get on it everyday! 💪💪💪

      Haha sometimes when I repeat some of Caroline’s routines (especially older ones) they can seem harder than the first time around!     I’ve been doing your workouts for about a month now and they have really helped my mental health. I have been through a long battle in regards to shaping my relationship with exercise (talking several years here) and food but your workouts provide me with an energy and peace I haven’t felt in a while. I finish work, pop a video on and feel like someone cares and wants me to do well and be healthy. After I finish the workout I feel strong and not pooped/worn out and there isn’t any weird toxic diet culture comments during the workout, just positive reassurance. Thank you for doing what you do, I really appreciate these videos, as do many 😊 x

      It was probably from all the up-and-down motion. one minute you're on the mat the next minute you're up and if you weren't hydrated you can get dizzy pretty quickly.

    Intense!!!😅🔥 That was awesome! It was an exhausting, super sweaty session! I feel amazing after that..and I kinda want to just go lay down😆! Circuit 2 was the most exhausting..my shoulders were screaming as they died the entire time. Circuit 3 was my favorite! I always love staggered RDLs and I especially loved them paired with the staggered squat and lunges. Loved getting to do the DB sprawl, squat to press, snatches, dumbbell burpees...a little cardio at the end of each circuit. I had a lot of fun..even tho I was getting soo tired😅😊. It was perfect Caroline! Thanks so much! Can't wait to see what is in store for Sunday! Have a great weekend everyone! See you then!

Like you I loved the way cardio was included at the end of each circuit...I think I found tricep push ups straight into dips the hardest part! But my triceps are certainly getting stronger! I just love Caroline s attention to detail in planning the workouts and in colour coordination etc! All is just brilliant! Then yes, turning around and doing the dips right away was very demanding. I'm glad you are continuing to see improvements as well! You definitely continue to out in the time and hard work.     This is by far my favorite full body workout from Caroline. I use a mix of light and heavier weights and it's non-stop cardio for 1 full hour! I've done 60-70% of her videos and always circle back to this one. Every muscle is activated and I see great physique the next day. More 1-hour sweaty dumbbell videos please, Caroline!

    Caroline thank you for your magic! I was prepared for a 12 km cross trail several weeks ago and today they confirmed that it was suspended due to the epidemiological situation ...     What an amazing full body sweat mess session! I love moves that burn even hotter when you slow them down and actually think about the movement. That’s how I have been performing lately, forgetting about how many reps and really focusing on the mind/muscle connection and man, it gets tough. This is going down in the books as a super favorite! Thanks Caroline! And good luck everyone and good job!

    Hi Caroline i used 10kg dumbells too and omg how you make it look so easy the shoulder press i though my shoulders were dead😂This 1 hour workout was so tough and sweaty love that its only 10 mins rest between each set because it makes it even harder!Have a lovely Friday and a good rest day tomorrow everyone💪❤

      Wow Emilia, that is amazing strength!! I am a man, I have always been very weak and unconfident and really struggle very much. My mom told that these lessons will help me build a very thick strong upper body and great confidence! I did this lesson with my mom. It was really hard for me. I could only manage with half kg dumbbells and my arms just gave up :( Is it very weak? My mom used 10 kg dumbbells.

    Hi all! That was great again. I have to say that I needed the structure of the workouts this week instead of becoming desperatly nervous - got very bad news at beginnig of the week cause of my dog they found cancer. The surgery is next monday. Please, all of you could with her good luck would be really great!

    It is an understatement when I say that this one absolutely destroyed me! I used 10 kg throughout except for the shoulder press and first part of the finisher and even with 8 kg I only managed around 3-4 reps of shoulder press each time, it was very fatiguing!!! 🔥💪😅

    This workout was 💯🔥.
    My muscles showed some fatigue towards the end when she had a circuit with tricep dips right after tricep pushups.
    I know she was challenging us, but that was hard to do those particular exercises back to back.
    Other than that, this was one of the best workouts she ever produced.
    Many 👏 for Mrs. GIRVAN.

    AWESOME workout Caroline! I felt amazing! I used lighter dumbbells to be able to control all the movements and it was very good. I am happy because now I realized that I am able to do 10 push-ups in a row, while before I could only do 5-6.

    Thank you Caroline!! I love fridays full body workouts!! And this one was really hard, it tested my capacity and stamina!! I must admit that I stopped the video in the second round of the second circuit, I was fatigated as if I had run 10km. Indeed I've needed to fill my bottle 2 times. It's a 1lt bottle!! Happy rest day tomorrow, see you on sunday!! 💪🔥💪

    THANK YOU the first words what i wanted to say,im doing in the early morning ,,epic 1 day 26 ,,complex,,.Im full motivated and full of Energy,,to do best,,.I have so much plan ,i want planted trees in garden ,i wanted read another good book,i wanted more quality time whit my family,i wanted more people see smile .I feel great for doing more good ,becos i think we change in positiv all things ,,what you bring its coming like a bumerang ,,you are good you sends so much positiv energy whit your workouts for all 💖.I hope ewerybody have time power to change the firts time personal life becos ,,we are fighters to change the world to we have biceps triceps ,quads glutes ,abs ,so a wonderful body thanks to Caroline 🌍🌈🌲🌳💪Train toghether its toughtful.
