1 Hour Dumbbell Full Body CARDIO Complex Workout | EPIC II - Day 25

  • 60 minutes of short complexes in this dumbbell full body workout to work every muscle group in the body, combined with cardio to elevate the heart rate! Strength combined with cardio!
    You are going to love this one!!
    Each complex is a total of 2 minutes 30 so time will fly by!
    After each complex, there is 45 seconds rest to grab a drink and to look at previews of the complex up next! There are only 2 exercises within each complex so simple to follow along and go at your own pace!
    Some of the complexes involve 1 or 2 dumbbells. Most of the complexes involve exercises to be performed for 10 reps each, however afew are for 5 or 20 reps so just watch out for this!
    All you will need for this workout is a pair of dumbbells and a mat! The dumbbells I am using are 10kg each. Optional is a chair and/or glute band for hip thrusts! If prefer not to use a chair, bridges can be performed on the mat! If you have a heavier dumbbell handy this is perfect for the hip trusts!

    Finisher: 1 minute
    SQUAT TO PRESS x 5

    During the kneeling curl to press, aim to curl the dumbbell up AND down! So after the press, slowly lower the dumbbell is if it is the second portion of the curl by keeping elbows close to body!
    You can let me know how heavy those dumbbells felt during the chest press 😬
    Complexes really add the extra sense that this is your own workout, pace and flow... I absolutely loved this workout so much and I am confident you all will love it too!!!!

      Fully agree. One of the first EPIC workouts that i thought i was going to give up. Voice in my head saying ‘30 minutes is a pretty good workout’ but the determination i saw on Caroline’s face kept me going.

    You’re always on time. You are the best personal trainer I have ever experienced! You motivate me and make me feel badass. I feel so strong during my workouts with you, and I love how it’s your workout as well. I love how you have to take breaks, and how some of the exercises are harder for you, and some are easier for me. It actually makes me feeling like I’m training with you. Thank you for these.       Exactly, was it me or this was super challenging and intense? I managed my way using 10Kg and I did survive this one. There were moments where I was so outta breath but a great workout indeed. Time flew by real quickly!

    You know you are getting stronger when you continue your reps of the last set in the complex even after the timer goes off so you get all 10 or 5 reps in! Thanks Caroline for empowering me to push past my limits!!!

    The good thing about these sessions with Caroline is...you can exercise anywhere, even in the Park in the basketball court with your dumbells and mat! The mad thing is when another women walked past and ask if she can join in. You have another subscriber.

    This one really shows why EPIC II is the G.O.A.T. After Iron and Fuel, it was tempting to up my weights, but I stayed with her and believe me, was near failure on those final shoulder presses. Love revisiting the longer length workouts.

    I loved how u r leading by example by lifting very heavy weight in all of ur exercise videos. A lot of instructors dont do that. I also loved that you start all exercises with brief intro. Because u r lifting heavy weight, this no doubt motivate me & most of ur followers to better themselves.     Somewhere in the middle of the dumbell burpees, the tiny 😈 in my mind went "Why are you doing this? You must be crazy!". But then the twin 😇 came along saying "Go on, Rute! You've got this!" 💪I'm so glad I listened to it! I really feel EPIC!!! 💪👊🏋‍♀️🔥

    I can’t believe I did this. I’m honestly speechless I completed this like I felt so accomplished because I knew I could do it. I was scared this morning watching it before nursing labs today but I did it this evening after class and I never felt so emotional. As I sit here with almonds and peanut butter whole grain crackers, I just am in a state of shock of how much progress has come so far in muscle and confidence. I nearly died using 20 kg and 15 kg together but I used 20 kg for most and 10 kg for abs. I can sincerely say I’m glad I made this hurdle. I’m getting emotional thinking about this workout because it made me see just how much I endured to get here and I loved every moment. Thank you Caroline from the bottom of my heart.

    This looks like a great workout! I was so excited to do it but I had some stomach trouble this morning and decided to start when I felt better. Four complexes in I had to stop and listen to my body because I felt weak and dehydrated, so I am either going to do it in the evening or take a complete rest today. Just a reminder for everyone to listen to their body and stop when you are not feeling well. Postponing a workout is not going to make you lose all your progress, and if you just push through it even though your body needs rest it is not going to make you feel any better. Take care of yourselves ❤️

    I really like that I can trust you and your planning. That I can tackle the next day without hesitation, even if I'm sore from the previous days. So many times I woke up thinking that I might need rest but then the day you've got planned hits just right and I get through it feeling so good. Keeps me from going into a hangry feeding frenzy too when I'm having the munchies, good god. Thank you so much, Caroline. This one was really good.

    This was the most challenging workout Ive done before and I never felt more proud ✊🥰 Thank you Caroline for making these videos, you help me become stronger physically and mentally. Im no longer exercising for the sake of aesthetics or "looking good", I work out to feel good, to get stronger, and live a healthier lifestyle.     We made it half way, yay 👍🏻🥳
    This was absolutely awesome! Caroline was right I was going to love it!❤️
    I have been dreading it all day whilst at work though, because Fridays are difficult for me after a long day at work to do the whole hour workout! But I enjoyed it so much!
    Used my 2x10kg for lower body and 2x8kg for upper body! I really liked it how each complex was upper and lower body, so parts of body could rest while others work. I’m so glad I managed it so well and really happy to have made second epic half way!

    This session was brilliant I love dumbbells complexes and had a chance to use my shiney new dumbbells which are heavier...20 weeks off epic and I've posted my pic on IG to show off my shoulders and to show that working out from home will give the results you want if you try hard...plus have a fab online trainer...some if my friends have joined Epic because I praise the content and Caroline 💪💪💪

    Yayyyyy 1/2 way through TWO!!! Cannot believe it, but evidenced in my life - you’ve transformed me Caroline. Thank you always for your comments about how WE motivate YOU, you’re so relatable and keep it real. I try to think up something new every time I comment here, I’m not much of a social commenter other than on instagram, but life is so busy - I’m busy LIVING it. My thought today is that the time I spend with you each day displaces something else. We all have “have to do’s” in our days - perhaps child-minding, work, helping a loved one, devotions, creating - so many things and they all take TIME. Time is finite while the demands on our time is infinite - so we must treat it with great respect. I want you to know that my time spent here with you each day is so worth every (often sweaty) moment invested. I hope this hugs your heart - what you provide for me is beyond worth!     Thank you for another great workout. This one was absolutly tough. I loved the snatches and dumbbell burbees. The curl to press I manage only five times, before I started with lunges. And at the middle of the chest press and tricep press complex I must go down with my weights. I couldn‘t handle the whole complex with my 10 kg each. I took my 6 kg dumbbells. Really challenging and really awesome!!!

      Chest press/diamond press and tricep press/flyes complexes were so tough! I had to rest several times during those. The weights just started feeling heavier and heavier.

    HI Caroline, Because of you I have been maintaining through this time of Covid and isolation. I quite drinking Jan 4th and that has really improved my performance. I've been working out on and off since I was 19 though it was always in the gym. I never thought I could be so motivated at home. I started doing my own workouts in beginning of Covid but I was bored and struggling to get the motivation to get into the mood. Since discovering your channel in September I've been on a roll and since quitting alcohol I am even more motivated. My dad nearly died of covid back in May and yesterday my son told me he now has covid. He is still in CA. He has one lung and is immunocompromised. But so far he is ok. I am now here in CT and feeling helpless. These workouts. Today. They help me get through. Thank you so much for the challenges. I'm not able to do the cardio so much due to lung issues that recently developed but I do most all and they kick my @ss which by the way is not looking so bad these days since these sessions!!! You rock \m/

    So today I just wasnt feeling great 😕 (sinuses were playing up) but when your EPIC your EPIC, 10pm and I just had to do it. So heavy on the shoulders which I loved and that famous swing burpee was very tough. Surprisingly the chest was so rough especially the presses at one stage I literally thought my chest was gonna part in the middle. I used 12.5 kg which was at my max. Great core section and the finisher did just that... finished me. Still happy 😊 with myself that I did it on the day. Sam & Matthew thanks for keeping the spirits high. Caroline great fullbody as always there was a lot of cals burned in that hour 😳

      Hi Katepina! I agree - it was challenging but I didn't look at the timer. Time flew by fast, but it was a sweaty one. My heartrate was up the whole time😅 Have a great workout! Happy Friday😊

    What I love to do after I finish the workout is refresh the screen to see how many more views have been captured during my workout, and today there were almost 7K more views! 💪💪 I love knowing I am working out with thousands of people around the world, and the connection is undeniable!     Finished it and I was quite surprised that time just flew . My fav compound workout till date . Had an average heart rate of 148 and burned 450 plus calories on Apple Watch . Intense and fulfilling .

    I don´t think I have ever sweat so much doing one of your workouts! I just wanna say I´m incredibly proud of everyone who´s come this far. Even if you can´t get through every exercise perfectly and use lighter dumpbells than her, you´re doing great, keep going, we´re halfway through already, you can do this!! I love you

    Caroline you are so real and make us feel human with you. My tee shirt is soaking and I feel so energised. Your talk in the beginning is so motivating and informative. As I have impaired hearing it is great that you use imagery as explanation and we can concentrate on what we are doing instead of chit chat. These workouts are meditative and fully engrossing.     Oh no only 25 days left, what are we all going to do then!!! 😬 I’ve noticed that Caroline’s brilliant warm-up and stretching videos aren’t getting as many views as they could, both are really fantastic. If we all do them as part of our routine for about 3 weeks we could give Caroline her first video with 1 million views. Wouldn’t that show our appreciation for everything she does and give her channel a real boast, not to mention ourselves. Please give them a try, you won’t regret it! 🙂👍

      I agree...these are all really great videos! That's a really good idea! A video with 1 M views would be great! HIIT on Sunday would be a good place to start! HIIT warm up first...then the stretch afterwards. I'll remember to do it! Matthew

      @@matthewalmond4688 Thanks Matthew, I do the appropriate warm-up and then the stretch on the rest days and Tuesday and they’re really starting to make a difference. Caroline has put so much effort into ensuring that the total package is very holistic and covers strength, cardio, balance, mobility and if you read her overview material even nutrition is covered. It would be great to have 1 million views before the end of Epic II. 🤞

      Absolutely Navya!! Go at a slower pace.. I definitely paced myself too! My period is due anyway too so definitely feeling it, energy that little bit lower and core not as tight but just try to go at own pace and pause when you need it! This workout is really a lot of fun!!💓💓💓

    Just finished week 5 and I could feel how proud Caroline is with all we have accomplished together. Honestly I started to tear up a bit watching her emotions after the finisher. What a gift this is!

      I thought I was the only one that felt emotional. I mean I feel like this journey is different for me as I got into a rut as I couldn’t lift as heavy as 20 throughout like others and I had to alternate between 15 and 20 kg. but at the end of the day strength is a process. I have to remind myself of that every time I feel like I’m not going hard enough

    That was incredible!! Finishing those burpees was probably the most accomplishing feeling ever 🥵 Every workout I look forward to and Caroline just makes them so fun. Caroline’s eye contact with the camera throughs the workout during breaks gives me reassurance and keeps pushing me to carry on! Another banger!
