The DarkHorse 15H all-tube guitar head is destined to be an instant classic. Fifteen watts of all-tube tone in a sub-compact head and cabinet combination specifically designed with the travelling musician in mind.
Simple Gain, Bass, Treble and Master controls allow easy access to the perfect amp sound on stage or in the studio. A Tonestack switch allows for either Brit or USA voicings or the "Pure" mode which bypasses the tone stack entirely, delivering a mid and overall gain boost allowing for the most direct signal path possible between your fingers and the speaker.
Selectable output power switches between two separate output stages - a higher headroom 15-watt pentode stage or a 2-watt triode stage for increased drive. A combination of 8 and 16-ohm outputs allows the DarkHorse to drive virtually any cabinet configuration.

I have one of these. As a guitar teacher and songwriter, I looked at a lot of amps to decide what I wanted for recording my first solo album. I loved Fender clean and Marshall dirty, but Traynor is the only amp that did both really well, without costing an arm and a leg. Very affordable! Takes pedals with zero probs, making live play a breeze...I can get my recorded tone when playing live very easily! Hard to do that with some amp/pedal combinations. Very satisfied all around.
Traynor needs to get more of these into peoples hands. Great tone. Very pleased with mine. The cab is awesome too.
Traynor amps are ...for production amp companys...by far the most underrated out there. Ive played this amp..and it kicks ass. I own several vintage Traynor amps as well. Its pretty much the only things i play.
TRAYNOR = BULLETPROOF.... I have owned their stuff since the 70's.. my first amp was a TS15.. still have it and works great
I wish you guys would have more demos of the 40W Ironhorse on your TH-cam channel. I have this amp, but there's no way I can recommend it to anyone without them coming to my house to hear it in person.

Unfortunately Traynor does not have any reseller in Germany anymore. Getting one of these is tough business. I was lucky to get mine used last year. It's simple, it's direct, it's lo-fi, it sounds and feels great and looks awesome!

Yes it it has a switch that convert it from 2 6V6 to a single 12AU7 and its much much quietre with good breakup. I would recommend the cab though. The greenback breakup well with the head, but not so much with vin30's in my other cab.
Yes, this amp is pretty much targeted at people wanting a good tube saturation with low volume
