Lots of people don't know how good these are live too!!!! Patrick Pentland of Sloan has been using 2 of these live off and on for pretty much forever and they never disappoint. Decent headroom but likes to push. I really can't complain!!!
Pete Traynor is a Canadian hero (was). He tested his amps by removing the tubes and dropping them out of the second story window at the assembly plant. He would put the tubes back in and see if anything was broken. If it was he made it better. This amp offers a lot for the price especially of note is the 6v6 power section which is rare to find. Thx
I think the Brit and USA settings are the opposite from what you mentioned, as Fender is American and Vox is British, but the Brit setting could also be modelled after Vox, as they're the sound of the British invasion
That's mainly what I have been using it for. On it's own the distortion you can get might not be the best but it takes pedals really well. Iv been using a greenhouse effects sledgehammer in front of it.

It definitely needs some dirt in front of it. I have the 1x12 cab with a Celestion Greenback, with optional open/closed back. It's a very fun amp, and very versatile, especially with that Pure option.

Is it good for doom post metal? It has a really dark tone and sinister that I really like.
