That is ~10.25W total idle dissipation pr tube which is fairly cold for a pair of cathode biased JJ 6v6s tubes..
It's a very touch responsive amp. I like the "pure" channel the best USA cleans are great and the Brit setting is nice too!!! Not as loud as some other 15w tube amps I have played but that's ok by me - the tones this amp can produce more than compensate for that!!!! The cabinet is loaded with a celestion greenback by far the best choice for this amp in my opinion. Love the "open back" option!!!
@0AllForNaught0 You are absolutely right, the Greenback is the key to this amp's sound.I have tried it with V-30's and different Eminence speakers and they do not allow this amp to shine like the Greenback! Traynor are absolute experts when it comes to producing tones that people want to hear. Sounds like we have similar tastes in tone!
I will get this little thing for testing fpr german magazine "Soundcheck" and I really look forward to playing it. Sounds very versatile. What I miss from the specs I got so far is a footswitch and an FX Insert, because I love my G-Major and these two little features would make it perfect for rehearsong and gigging.
Traynor has knocked this one right out of the park. Talk about tone...sheeesh!! You could easily spend alot more to get this tone. I bought a Traynor in 78 (which was a rare solid state model that I adored..... and so did the bastard who stole it from my rehearsal hall). I am going to drive up to Toronto to get one if I have to. What a sweet piece of machinery.BTW ..there is no stopping a pretty girl who can wield a rock axe. My heart is-a-poundin'.
Hi Donna. A pretty girl, producing nice classical tones ... too bad you're so far away from me :-) Why is this terrible mains hum? I mean, the guitar is equipped with humbuckers. Maybe you should consider changing your position angle and/or amp distance when you do your next recording clip. Greetings from Germany, Chris.
