😊 Hey guys! We created the Chase Car channel to give viewers a broad overview of the upcoming new cars from the top car manufacturers. We are huge fans of pickup trucks of all sizes: compact, mid-size and full-size trucks. So mostly, we will cover new upcoming trucks, but besides that, here you can find a lot of content about new sedans and SUVs too.
The Electric Vehicle wave sooner or later will become huge, so this type of content might appear on this channel from time to time. But as we are still on the way to becoming fully electrical, we mostly cover fossil cars from many amazing brands.

🏆Toyota CEO Introduces ALL-NEW $12k Pickup Truck WATCH HERE 👉 th-cam.com/video/8CiEKGbNF_k/w-d-xo.html
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT - FORD, GM and DODGE. Pay Attention. All I want is a single cab small / med truck UTILITY TRUCK. Anything else is not a Truck. Trucks are only WORK VEHICLES. Off Road is not a Truck, anything being Detailed is not a Truck. TRUCKS HAUL AND WORK. I am getting the Toyota, once available.
The truck is meant for daily travel not off roading. It’s cheap economy vehicle plain and simple.
Well said.
“Cheap”
Even most trucks not meant for off roading can do a lot in offroad conditions vs what people think they are capable of.
exactly
If I want to go off-roading I’ll take my Crawler out. I also own an F350 super duty and I’ve only locked the hubs a couple times. These are meant for economy and mpg plain and simple and when I want to pick up some bags of gardening soil or hydraulic hoses from the shop and drive back to the yard from the hydraulic shop and get 40mpg!!! 😂
I did not buy the Maverick for its off roading capabilities lol I have a Jeep for that. I bought the Maverick as a fuel economy vehicle and it’s lived up to that 100%
I am honestly looking at this truck and was hoping for an honest point of view if this truck had any real issues but instead found a video of a person complaining that a entery level truck with basic features doesnt compare to high end trucks with all the options. Its clear the OP had extreme bais to anything that doesnt match their own idea of what a truck should be.
My 2023 Maverick is an awesome truck. Hybrid XLT gets no less than 40 mpg combined. The dealer installed Katzkin leather and I picked OEM color. I have the luxury package. This video with the robotic voice is not convincing. Sponsored by Dodge….ha! Buy the Mav….you won’t be disappointed and you can thumb your nose at all the $100000 grocery getter gas hogs while they’re filling their 32 gallon tank with $5 /gal diesel.
Right?! If you want a king ranch f150 cough up the $$,$$$ and get one.
What im going to save in fuel but parking my f350 diesel 4 days a week will almost make the entire payment on this COMMUTER and I can still shop for smaller building supplies, take both full size dogs, my wife and tow the side by side!
Not to mention the $250 oil change twice a year on that Power Stroke diesel.
All of this is nonsense. I have a Maverick and am immensely satisfied.
Exactly, I have a 22 xlt awd 4k tow, awesome little truck. The interior is better than Tacomas, not sure what this guy is taking about
@@andrecheats Pretty sure they are using the first versions of the maverick truck the 2024 and later models have the updates that fixed a lot of the gripes over the interior. This guy is also an AI voice so any idiot can write this stuff. I will say package choices can get expensive as basic addition options are pretty strict. Can't get the black wheels without going full in on the blackout package as example.
Clearly this person doesn’t understand why this truck was built. I am no ford fan but this truck was built for its utility. You won’t get a truck at its MSRP. Honestly the fact that the interior is all plastic and the wheels are plain makes it even better in buying. Nothing expensive that’ll cost the buyer in repairs. My next vehicle most likely will be a maverick. All I need is a truck with a good size and good gas mileage. Keeping it simple.
All I want is a TRUCK. Trucks are to be abused, haul stuff, a WORK TRUCK. No one sells trucks anymore. Tell me where I can buy a SINGLE CAB SMALL TRUCK TODAY, YOU CAN'T. I had a Chevy S10 and Ford Ranger single cabs, beat out of them, they did the job. The Maverick was the closest thing to a real truck. Anyone who details a Truck, guess what, you don't own a truck. TRUCKS DON'T GET DETAILED.
Have a maverick, work for ford, I have no idea what you’re on about for engine issues. 2.5L has been proven for years. And the 2.0L has been reworked to not be plagued with coolant issues. In the 3 years it’s been out, and being in a major city, I’ve yet to see one with any type of engine issue. I’ve had one transmission issue where the factory didn’t put in case seals correctly and it shifted funny. Very rarely does the maverick come in for service.
I am glad to hear, I purchased the 2.0L Maverick and does what I want, A WORK TRUCK, NOT OFF ROAD. You can't purchase single cab small trucks anymore, e.g. Chevy S10, First Ford Rangers. I just wanted something to beat the shit off. These are called Trucks, Trucks are to do work, not SOCIALIZE and get DETAILED.
I just bought a Maverick. I love it.
It comes with a fantastic warranty.
Competitors are just angry because the sales are fantastic!
“Who buys a 17’ truck for fuel mileage?”
Me. It a second auto to my ‘02 7.3L F350.
Who buys a front or 2WD truck and has ANY concern about off road?
I stopped the video there, completely clueless ...
I've been driving 2wd trucks off road all my life. Choose your line and commit. Not all off roading is moab.
@@titussardonicus338 very true, not all off-roading is a rock crawl or mud run either.
I amazed a lot of people with my ‘86 Mercury Lynx way up some mountain side or back in some “high secret” swimming holes in my early years as well.
Same here. I live on a small farm and do farm stuff. But my day job is in the city and I drive 70 miles round trip every day. And I'm seeing 45 mpg. So for my use case of using a truck for hauling farm stuff and also using it as a commuter vehicle, my Maverick XLT excels.
I just purchased 2023 Red Ford Maverick XLT Tremor AWD Luxury package with CO-Pilot 360 without the back vent window. It’s high off the ground and I just love everything about it.👍👍👍👍
43k in a Ford? Nope . You can pay 50k in the new Taco TRD off road.
You can get an F150 with an 8 foot bed 2.7 ecoboost 23 mpg oal 2wd with limited slip and 8.3" of ground clearance....from the diffs only; the rest of the chassis has a much higher ground clearance, with 1820 lb payload and 7400 lb towing capacity and 3.55 axle for $39,400 - discounts not available on the Maverick and buy it for 37- 38K, maybe less.
Everything power included
Or for a few mpg less a 5.0 Coyote 6.5 foot bed with 8.7" ground clearance a 1859 payload and 9000 lb towing capacity 2wd w/limited slip, 3.73 axle for the same
@@lockandloadlikehell f
Talk about whining and feeding false information, you need to get your fact straight before you through this type of crap out. I had and 2023 XLT then turned around and got a 2024 Lariat. the price was still better than anything else you could offer. Oh right you don't have anything in this class.
Just bought a 24 XLT AWD luxury with a 75k mile warranty. So far i love it.
Hey , Car Chase, Bull I love mine , My old silverado was getting 18.2 mpg Maverick is 42 to 44 mpg
To me, I am purchasing a Maverick for something with a bed and that will not kill the bank account during and after the purchase. Sure, it would be nice to buy a Chevy Silverado EV or a Cybertruck but both are outside what I want to spend and/or pay monthly for. It fact, I believe all the trucks are over priced including the Maverick but since the Maverick is in the budget I want and there is really no other competition (yet), that is what I am going to get. What would be really cool is a reasonably priced El Camino which the Maverick is more closer to being than a pickup.
This is like comparing a school bus to a Ferrari lol, they’re not in the same class and they’re not intended for the same thing, this is an ECONOMY, COMPACT truck, stop comparing it to a HEAVY DUTY luxury truck
22 Ecoboost XLT 4K Tow package here and have over 33K on mine and love it. I get between 475 and 530 MPG depending on Winter vs Summer fuels. Changing my oil every 5K, Factory tires lasted 30K and still had 2/32 but changed due to winter coming. I drive my truck over 155 miles per day and love it.
You mean between 475 and 530 miles per tank right?
yes @@freddaniali
I have the exact same model, very good truck
I have one, love it
If I were in the market for a new car this would be near the top of my list. I adore it! I just worry about long term reliability being a ford and all
My 23 Maverick XL on 23 thousand miles still running strong and super economic. I love it this amazing truck. I used for work every week
Hybrid Mav here. Love it.
When u have nothing bad to say about a vehicle u end up w a video like this 😂
Wifes AWD Maverick got 52501 Miles, We Love it
"This truck sucks because its economical and can't off-road" perfect, that's exactly what im looking for
My dad has 2023 XLT with 46K Miles , Zero Issues
This video was posted 2 months ago - there are no markups on Maverick now, with possibly the exception of Tremor version at some dealers. Maverick sells under MSRP in US.
Just ordered a ‘24 base model, having dealer add heated bun warmers for my wife. Can’t wait to stop daily driving my F350 and get into my first ever new or even second hand auto @ nearly 50 years old.
Awesome! I just got my first brand new car at 42. I love the Maverick. You will enjoy it for sure.
You are going to love it!
Yep. Only took 4 months but with my first fill just done today, I do love it.
Who needs four wheel drive when you have a front wheel drive? The only thing wrong with the Maverick is the price gouging by dealers...trust me, I own one.
It was supposed to replace an entry level sedan ie the focus. It’s a lot more vehicle than that
I just bought a 2024 maverick it drives great, I'm coming from a 97 ford ranger manual 5 speed so it's a whole new world driving. I still think I need to put the clutch in and shift down when I come to a stop but maverick does it automatically,😅
Nice man! Wish these came with sticks.
@@compuserveuser2779 yeah I'm not crazy about the dial shifter,
Hmmm most of those complaints assume you live in the wilderness, and don't appreciate a medium size truck with he ability to move decent cargo, still park in a garage, and get great great gas mileage in town. If course get the F150 if that doesn't apply to you.
I put an order in for one to consolidate my prius and tacoma :)
I’m literally about to buy one of these. I can clearly tell from the way you complain like a 14-year-old girl that you’re not a grown man so you don’t know what grown men want for different situations. This truck is great on gas and can haul anything you want that’s not crazy big…
This engine block crack "only" applies to the Hybryd engine? I just ordered the standard (non hybrid) EccoBoost 2024 Maverick.
If the block is cracking, my DEI degree taught me that we should up the boost.
What a joke - I love my 23 XL Eco. Everything is just fine, inside and out. Scooter is my daily driver
2024 2.0 lariat/black out/4k tow package cactus grey and i LOVE this little truck. 0 complaints so far.
Got a cancellation order at cost. XLT hybrid is averaging 45 mpg. Love the outside and inside. Best deal out there. You appear to be a tacoma loyalist 😂
I quit watching it, just bashing the truck with just his or opposite opinion. Bash FWD and wanted Ford to have introduced it in RWD. They can't even keep up with the orders. So i think thats false, "money talks BS walks" consumers wanted exactly what Ford did when introducing the Ford Maverick.
Then when they say ground clearance is not effective with off roading. Again comparing it with mid size trucks its compatible if not higher ground clearance and offering higher payloads. Thats when i quit watching and listening. Sorry but I'm amazed they didnt shut it down because of misleading content.
I have the 23 EcoBoost AWD and am happy with it.
Dig deeper on the Pinto. Sure, they had a fuel filler issue, but it took more than a little bump to be a problem. When you look at the crash films (it WAS the 70s after all) it's plain to see that in most cases when rear-ended the Pinto was knocked forward as the fuel neck is ripped loose, spilling fuel on the ground. The tailgater's vehicle rolls over the fuel and the exhaust or ignition system ignites it. It was as if it was designed as revenge for tail gating. Ford fixed it, but it was too late.
Aside from that issue the Pinto shared the same drive train as the Mustang II, Mercury Capri and even the Granada which was offered with a 4-speed gearbox (of all things). The 2.0 liter engine had a 2bbl carb and since the Pinto was lighter than the Capri, it was faster than most 4-bangers back then. People I knew got drag racing tickets, in stock Pintos. Absurd!
Pintos sell at a premium these days. The wagon with the blanked sides is very hard to find. It looked a bit like a van (before mini-vans were a thing) and was pretty good for camping/passing out at the beach.
Respect your opinion but I’m on my 2nd hybrid Maverick. 17’ length ? you state….you’re close, mine measures 16.4’. Off road? Would you guess the lions share of pickup truck owners never go off road. My 22 Mav did have grabby brakes at very slow speed (2-4 mph) and had two minor recall campaigns addressed, none on my 24. How bout we talk compact truck mpg…shall we? Both of my hybrids got/get low 40’s mpg in town, mid 40’s hwy, and high 40’s hwy at high elevation …..those mpg are double what my German small crossover suv got.
Thank you Larry
The Maverick Tremor with only a 2000 lb towing and the most towing if properly equipped is only 4000 lbs.
Honda Ridgeline and Hyundai Santa Cruz properly equipped have up to 5000 lb towing packages.
The problem I have with the Maverick is actually the cost we have fully loaded Mavericks around me going for 'gulp' $48,000, that is ridiculous, and the cheapest lariat I have found is $40K while a Honda Ridgline RLT new is going for the same price.
Why would you want a maverick lariat? Way more expensive than the XLT and you don't really gain much. Thousands and thousands of dollars for leather and keyless entry. Yeah, no thanks. Spending 40k on a vehicle with a base MSRP of 25k is dumb.
@@kdxkyle I have no idea, I was just saying for comparison a Lariat Maverick is similarly equipped to a Honda Ridgeline RTL, costs more money and does far less. I ended up buying the Honda.
The new Taco off road coat 50k . Why you will pay 43k for the Maverick? Daaaa
None of the trucks are 4wd they’re optional AWD. They probably don’t make the hybrid in AWD because hybrid cars are for ppl who live in Urban areas where they do allot of slow driving in heavy traffic. If you live in a rural area where AWD is really needed a Hybrid would just be carrying around heavy batteries that probably don’t offer much economy since the electric motors only takeover at slow speeds you seldom drive at other than entering and leaving parking lots. I don’t give a crap about off-roading I’m not going to take a $30k financed vehicle offroad. If I want to do that I’ll buy a $4,000 late model truck or suv like a Cherokee. I want this thing because it’s almost as economical as my Subaru Impreza but can haul allot more gear on mountain biking and ski trips. Other than the possible production problems you talked about at the end I don't feel too deterred from considering this. There seems to be plenty for sale in my area.
12 reasons why to buy a Ford Maverick XLT AWD Tremor with copilot 360.
High off the ground
Seats are very comfortable
Vision is fantastic
Full spare tie
No vent window (better for vision)
AC/heat works great
Overall a good price
Good interior height
Love the powerful sounds
Good for parking in city
Lots of storage spaces
The so called cheap plastic looks great
Drives like a SUV not a truck
Lots of safety features
I got Red and it’s beautiful
Ops more then 12😀
Waited 10 months and decided enough time wasted and cancelled the order. Bought the 2023 Sportage AWD which is the same price as the XLT. It's light years better inside and out. No build/delivery delays either.
Thank God I cancelled!!!!
How big is the bed.
hopefully it doesnt need warranty work i know several people that had to have engine and transmission warranty work done on kia/hyundai and they went without their brand new cars for months.i have an old kia koup and thankfully its been very reliable
@sdmc1972 what I'm going through right now with my used 2017 kia sorento at 40k. Within the 6years I had it the torque went out in a month, new transmission at 90k, and now rear main seal/gasket/oil pan need fixing at 130k. Smh... never again will I buy a kia.
@aznbeauty95824 I had a Hyundai genesis coupe and the timing chain tensioner were starting to go at 40k, the taillights leaked so the back floor was always flooded, the manual transmission was awful, the headliner was starting to fall, the fake chrome trim on the interior started pealing making super sharp edges but I have a 2012 kia koup that hasn't really been bad but it eats light bulbs . The quality of kia Hyundai is really not consistent
Hopefully you have no issues with your Kia and you have a good dealership.
If the Maverick is as good as the Pinto was ... I'll get one.
My wife 2019 ford escape has 160,000 km with 0 problems. it use the same 2 l ecoboat engine. It seem you are a source of misinformation 😅
ON MY WAY TO BUY ONE
Chase car Has a small pp.. that's why he is going for a bigger truck lol..
My mav awd has done more truck stuff than all my neighbors big size truck.. they just go bk and forth from work lol. I have done a lot of types of works with this little truck. Small pps are just jealous of the things that this little truck can do!
Ford licensed Toyotas hybrid system. So until Toyota comes out with there small truck I'll stick with this.
I purchased a 2024 Maverick 1 month ago and went with the 2.0 standard engine. The vehicle is excellent and not even close to what you are explaining. BTW, WHY DID I PURCHASE a NON-HYBRID. HYBRID first of all is STUPID. You just DOUBLED the number of parts that can FAIL. Now you have both an ENGINE and a MOTOR. DOUBLING the amount of failure. I purchased the Maverick because NO ONE SELLS a single cab small truck anymore and the Maverick was the closest thing I could get. I JUST WANT A SIMPLE CHEVY S10 kind of thing. That I can beat the shit out of , don't care, CONSTRUCTION vehicle, not off road. Again, the Maverick was the only vehicle to do this.
The Maverick was designed to be affordable, so why are you complaining about the level of plastics used in the interior, and the unpainted exterior trim pieces? People need affordable vehicles like Detroit used to make, and this is the first one in years.
She's got her hand down in the motor while playing on her phone. Burger flippers aren't even allowed to do that. Most of the problems with this truck are it's builders. I notice you use unrelated b-roll throughout the video that gives a false impression of the people doing the work.
I'm buying a Honda Ridgeline, only truck I can find where no one is saying anything bad about it.
I agree don’t buy one. Buy two like me 😅
bro used the fuckin fortnite font lmao. instantly loses all cred
I love my Maverick, but moved from Florida to Arkansas, and this dealer here SUCKS!
Lol, I have this joke Maverick. Best vehicle I have ever owned! It's a 2024 Xlt hybrid. I owned a Prius before this. It is exactly what it is meant to be. I don't need a house puller. Just a Home Depot runner. I didn't have to spend 50k to get a truck. Best decision i ever made. Pd $27500.00
Its for sitting pretty in the city, not doing sork in the dirt
its their Cheapest Vehicle to but of course it wont have AWD
If u need to drive in the dirt get an off road vehicle. The other 99% of us drive to places on ROADS
This is why we can't have nice things. The consumers value infotainment centers, automatic transmissions, paint options, and plush interiors over rugged spartan interiors, reliable manual transmissions, simple tech, and utility. Practical consumers will never win in the us. I'm tempted to move to Thailand so I can buy a Hilux Champ.
It's a tricked-out ricer with a bed. Just how I like it.
If Ford would fix these probs at the outset, they wouldn’t have them biting their ass later on…
WHAT THE HELL EVER HAPPENED TO ‘QUALITY IS JOB #1?’
Are people buying these for off road use?!?
It was advertised as a 20k truck. They came on sale at 40k after markups. Not only will I not buy one, I’ll never buy a new car again.
My XLT hybrid was $27,800 including tax, title, delivery, dealer prep, full size spare, trailer hitch. You need to shop around.
You must be looking at a loaded Lariat for 40 grand.
And since then, prices have gone down for the vehicle.
stop complain and look close and clearly what you paid what you get
Love steel wheels.
Like I'd take the ignorant and naive opinion of a Toyota fanboy seriously. I own a 2022 Ford Maverick XL and have just reached 34k miles on it. It's been a really good vehicle for my needs and what I do every day.
You're one of those guys who would go and get a massive truck because you're insecure about yourself and need to compensate for something.
I am not buying off-road or luxury just basic transportation!
3 years later and still can't get one. Thanks ford
Try a different dealer?
Some of this is nonsense. It's a small utility vehicle. Not a Rock crawler. 4x4 is unnecessary for the intended use. Supply. They have plenty of them.
Now I do not have any knowledge of its defects. Do your resesrch
GI...GO
Dude bro, you don't know the reason why it is so popular. Just looking for flaws to complain about.
Got halfway through the video before I got tired of the bitchfest.
I was hoping to hear about some serious design flaws. However, I was met with a bunch of entitled crying.
I'm not a Ford fan by any sense of the imagination. However, missing 4x4 options on a hybrid? Not enough ground clearance on a glorified minivan with a bed? Heaven forbid having to wait for a desired product. I guess you were asleep during the Bronco shortage.
Then there's the xl model, which is basically a fleet vehicle you can buy, that's too cheap and basic. Yeah, that's the point. You get what you pay for. Some people want to pay less.
I'm not a fan of the Maverick. I'm still annoyed that the moniker of a classic was built as a modern Ranchero.
However, I would be completely blind to ignore the market this vehicle serves. Likewise, the people who own them seem to love them. This vehicle is a mall crawler for most. The most offorading this thing needs to do is traveling down dirt roads, or the beach. A minivan can do that.
Your arguements are like saying that a Prius has too little ground clearance, or that a Honda Element doesn't have a 4x4 option.
Granted, this is yet another list video that's just echoing customer "nice to haves". However, without a disclaimer, the presentation really makes the presenter look out of touch with reality and extremely entitled.
Rant over.
Cheers.
MMMMM Ford not thinking again or asking the customer what they want. I thought Ford had learned from the Japanese listening to the customer when the worked with Mazda. Not so.
This is full of BS information. I see Maverick Lariat prices under sticker. No one buys a little truck thinking its for off-road. I like the "gawdawful" interior. If we hear a loud noise or smoke coming out of the car when driving, we're supposed to stop?? In keeping with your obvious advice: if you have snot flowing out your nose, wipe it on your sleeve.
The Maverick is not a truck, it is a station wagon with part of the roof missing.
So the same issues as any other vehicle at this price, you sound bitter about it all
Wait for Toyota's truck.
Kindly request Ford Maverick reduce the price to 22k only so Low Income and Poor Students can purchase ! No hidden price !
How about buying a 1970 "Rolls can hardly ?? (rolls down the hill and can hardly make it up the next hill) I NEVER had a NEW car until I was 35 and had payed off my college loans !!! Now people want NEW cars and FREE college loans. Go figure !!! If you can afford a new 22k car while going to school, that says it all.
I will wait for the 2025 Dodge (RAM) Rampage! A friend had a Maverick and got rid of it six months later.
also stop calling AWD, 4 Wheel Drive! Totally different animals!
you realise this truck was built for urban dwellers, yes? there are people who simply want the utility of a pickup truck with economy of a car, and they'd never have a need to use it off road.
It will continue to sell like hot cakes.
This content creator is delusional. I have a 22 Maverick XLT. I’ve towed 2.5k trailers with no issues while still getting 30+ mpg. It has more ground clearance than my 94 Silverado. I’ve driven 36k miles with only oil changes and get 42mpg regularly.
buy a honda ridgeline instead.
At almost double the base price. LOL. Great comparison !
LOL !!!
Just get a Lambo....
As a previous F150 owner, I went to 2023 Maverick XLT luxury package with aftermarket leather Katzkin. The Maverick is a better truck than my F150. Those of us who buy a Maverick are looking primarily at economy and utility. Parking in congested cities is a breeze and mileage is phenomenal. It is a hoot to drive and 4 wheel drive would only add drag and poor fuel economy. Comfortable on long trips and exceeds expectations.
Can you get me a ridge line for less the $28k?
Nissan Frontier !
The narator is so childish complaining that this vehicle is not a serious off roader. He clearly does not understand the purpose of this vehicle. Had to turn it off for being just too stupid.
They're junk. A recall just came out on these.
This guy must have a small Johnson.
It's a modern El Camino, using it as a real pick up truck is pure misuse.
You guys are bi.ching about cheap materials in the cheapest new truck on the market. LOL. XL is super basic but for 2024 it has all the options you need. Yes, wheels are ugly AF i agree and i hate them. Hybrid is great on gas and this is what it was designed for not for going off-road.
Just PLAIN OVER PRICED! AMERICAN GREED!
23K base price. Are you on crack ?
Most people are not going to get a Maverick for $23k. At the very least you MIGHT find a base model xl at $25k but thats pushing it. Most XLTs are going to be $30k and the lariats are pushing $40k if you can even find one. @@emersonbiggens1502

Hybrid = troubles
Never again ford. Planned obsolescence is sinking them.
Don't forget it's made in Mexico.
So were all the Focus
ASSEMBLED IN MEXICO WITH USA PARTS !! GET IT RIGHT PLEASE !!!
Your point? I own one at 34k miles and it's been a great vehicle so far.
The Toyota Tacoma has also been built in Mexico, for several years.
I drive one for a living, and driving it every day, I can say with confidence I would never buy one. The seats are the most uncomfortable, litteral *painful* seats I've ever been in. (I drive 8 hours a day, definitely used to how they feel) this is the 4th truck I've had though this company, and it is easily the most uncomfortable, despite being by far the most modern.
When I drove it my first day, less than 100 miles on it, going downhill, the RPMs were going NUTS.... its sad.
This is nothing new you can make these kind of videos for every American car manufacturer for the past eighty years
