    I still consider myself a beginner, although I'm getting more flexible and feeling much more fluid, natural, and flexible with my movements and stretches thanks to Bird's yoga practices! 🧘‍♀️ I would like to show some gratitude today, sun July 23rd after a long night at work and the typical overthinking I do about work that lingers on and the aches and pains from standing and being on my feet all day. I also have depression and anxiety. I can tell you Bird's yoga practices are a routine for me, and have been for the past 6 months, I don't miss a day. I've tried other instructors, just to explore, but I can follow Bird so well and her voice and movements along with the peaceful music melts my depression and anxiety into relaxation and peacefulness. It's fantastic, it really is. I'm truly thankful to have found her on here, and just wanted to share some gratitude and say 🙏 your videos absolutely impact my day in such a positive, healthy way! Thank you!

    I had the worse headache and most frustrating day after not being able to sleep the night before and I tried this session. Felt completely rejuvenated and at ease after. My headache was gone and I just felt light. I had the best sleep after.
    Love your videos, I like that you just guide us and the music is so calming. ❤️

    Another day done! Just in the first 4 days, I've been becoming more mindful about what I do before bed (making sure to do some yoga, drink more water so I don't wake up super thirsty, etc.) in order to have a better morning the next day. great video!

    What substitutions would you recommend for those of us for whom child's pose, puppy pose and happy baby pose are not available?

      I’d have to know why they are unavailable. Is it knees, lack of flexibility? There may be modifications for you in these poses to make them more accessible if it’s lack of flexibility. If it’s knees (I assume may be the case because they all add pressure to knees) or anything else I’d suggest taking any pose that feels best for you. Maybe supine in this case.

      Thank you for your kind reply! Knee strength is not my challenge, but a large belly and very limited flexibility make these poses and many of the modifications that I have resourced uncomfortable and a challenge to breath while I am in them. What alternate Asanas would work when bringing the thighs into the chest is not available, that will create the grounding and calming aspect that makes child's pose and the others so popular?

      @@taoresonance3144 how about swaping them for a restorative supine butterfly pose? Butterfly pose as is or lay your torso over as many pillows or bolsters as youd like and prop some pillows under the knees. It is not the same stretch but offers a lovely restorative feel while still stretching the legs much like childs pose. to get an upper body stretch like you would with puppy, try placing your elbows inline with your shoulders (goal post arms or cactus) without any props (if it feels comfortable) don't be shy to explore either come up with your own and see what feels good for you. 💕

      Yes, a reclined butterfly pose is a great substitute! My other thought was "legs up the wall" pose. A cactus pose without props is an aspiration of mine, but I can add some props to make that happen. Thank you for your compassion and service!

      @@taoresonance3144 placing some pillows under the arms in cactus is a great mod, i do this for myself often as well. A great one if you have tight shoulders. 💕 Thanks for your question and for inspiring me to incorporate different options in future classes. I am always open to learning how to make this practice accessible for all as each and every body is so unique in their wants in needs.

    The practice is phenomenal, almost fell asleep but geez that ad startled me awake at the end. can you put your ads at the beginning please? It's always so jarring

      Hi! The ads are what allowed you to have this class. Ads help me survive and do this full time so that you can have accessible free yoga at your fingertips. I purposely only place ads at the beginning and end so that you can have a full class without the ad interruptions. I think that is extremely fair for the amount of time i put into even the shortest classes. Please know that these Ads are what support your favourite creators and its the reason you are able to have yoga at home. maybe a simple ad at the beginning or end wont feel like such a nuisance after all.

      Also incase you did not know, youtube offers youtube premium where if im correct you wont see ads. And i also offer a AD free membership here aswell that offers four 30-60 min classes a month. Many restorative and gentle classes like this one 🙏 hope this helps.
