that's like 3$ an hour . till today , best show ever.
in 2007 all over again at the O2. paid 1500$ for 1 ticket.
best 1500$ I ever spent in my life.
zeppelin are forever.
Long Live Led Zeppelin!
THANK YOU SPEEDY!!!
Your welcome. See you in the live chat room..
Wow, another video! Christmas in April. I love it! 👍
Amazing POV! That screen was reall state of the art back then. Fantastic!
best 8mm ive seen of Kneb and any UK gig although there is basically none
What
@@ssssssssssssssssss50 audience films of zep from the uk seem to be very scarce, the only other one i can think of off the top of my head besides knebworth is the bath festival footage
I was there, great memories. Thank you.
Me too...amazing night..!!!!
Me too....still remember it.
3 zep contents in a week from three different eras... what a beautiful present for zep community. Thank you so much speedy! Hopefully more to come.
Went to both dates . Memories i treasured all my life
Wow, what a trip to watch this from the audience perspective. Pretty amazing Jim Kelly "Speedy" travelled to the UK with his trusty Super 8 camera to film in the midst of that massive Knebworth audience. Truly a historical concert and this video recording adds to that legacy.
Kind of a reunion gig for them, that’s what’s extra cool about this show.
Bonham and Page needed to step back and get into rehab ASAP but that never happened.
@@oreldm for sure. Bonzo you could barely tell. Maybe he was more tame but man page could barely play page geez
@@derekjackson1039 yea it was hard to believe they were the same band in 79 compared to earlier. Page was a mess. Grant was hooked on Heroin too. That didn't help.
@@oreldm read cole was didn’t know about grant
@@derekjackson1039 Yea Grant was too.
unbelievable !
Incredible
Amazing footage.
So wonderful to be able to see and enjoy this.
What an incredible moment in music history.
Thank you to the late Speedy for this.
That was a big screen in the background never really actually saw it. Cool!
Truly immersive, feels like I'm standing there 🎉
fantasticke vystupenie mali led zeppelin, vtedy v knebworte 1979long live led zeppelin, forever.
I was there, loved it (obviously!)
Me too...amazing night !!!
Me too.... unforgettable.
Decent performance here. Some of the first real usage of large screen. Their show was really morphing. RIP JHB. Thanks for the glimpse!
Awesome 😎
I've seen 1000+ gigs over the past 45 years, this remains the best I've ever seen.
So interesting perspective from the audience area. Thank you brilliant !!!!
Somewhere out there in that ocean of denim i stood and watched the greatest rock and roll band ever. It was amazing and I am so glad i travelled all those miles to end up with one of my most favourite moments in time.
Keep your day job
Are you jealous!!!??? What do you mean when you say keep your day job!!!???!!! Zeppelin is the greatest band that there will ever be, ever!!!
@@gusvouloukos6232 simmer down boy. Visibly you didn’t get it.
I was talking about the apprentice poet up there ☝️
My apologies, I never claimed to be very bright especially now that I've hit the age of 59, my brain seems to be failing me more and more each day or, at least that's what it seems like!!! I did a lot of drinking from the ages 15 to 50, and the stupidity and dementia have arrived and I'm not very excited about much because of shrinking of the brain cells, having to watch my mom pretty well 24 hours a day, therefore stress and worrying makes my brain worse faster, that's what my doctor said, and he is one of the best doctors and nicest person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and calling my friend as well as my doc!!! I'm rambling on, so I'll just stop now, much love and happiness to everyone forever!!!
ow my god even led zep god damn
This is Super Cool! WoW! Thank You!!!!
Also prob the last of Plants great vocal performances.
Never heard any 80 shows that sound this good for him
Munich is great, he sings Rock and Roll in it's original register along with the Stairway Coda.
@@devanworkman8745Agreed. I love that 80’s gig. Bands sounds solid for an 80’s show.
@@devanworkman8745 I’d have to check that out think I know what you’re talking about. I believe there’s a short clip of STH coda
@@derekjackson1039 by the second half of 81 they would have been on FIRE. we'd have gotten a paired down no quarter and a carouselambra.
Amazing
Fantastic!
this is awesome!
Thank you for this very good production and synch! $$ sent.
Yes. Thank you Speedy.
I had no video they had live stage vid screen back in 79. I'm guessing they are the first to use them.
No, it was used before Zeppelin was even formed !
@@ikhnatondon’t fib.
@@MDK2_Radio I’m not. Live projection started in the mid 60s. Knebworth 1979 is not even the first time Led Zeppelin was projected live on a big screen. Oldest record we have for the band is during their Atlanta 1973 show, the band was projected live on two colors screen. But it could have been earlier : In 1970 Led Zeppelin played at the Bath Festival. There was video cameras and two large black and white screens, though, Peter Grant asked for the cameras to be turned off during Led Zep set. Don’t fib.
@@MDK2_Radiothey had big screens for Zeppelin’s Earls Courts gigs back in 75.
@@OutOnTheTilesYes, and for Pontiac and Seattle shows in 1977.
If you have any footage of 1973 tour at Madison Square Garden could you please kindly share from the Vaults July 27 28 29 Tour thank you ❤
it's floating around. start hereon yt. there's a version of tsrts that cuts out some fantasy and shepperton footage and inserts (low quality) live footage. it's cool. and there's therfan version of the whole "movie" with everything in order with minimal fantasy footage. sadly much of the reels were destroyed by the first producer they fired.
Excellent 8mm transfer. I wish they were all like this instead of captured with a potato.
❤👏👏👏
The month of my birth!
Please restore the Alice Cooper 8mm Films to 4k!❤
I'll stick to the albums
Very poor. There is much better footage of this concert. And more than 9 minutes.
This is a channel that dedicates itself to 4k scans of rare concert film. Calm the fuck.
This is cool but not what I was hoping for.
Some cool visuals but nothing really interesting but a view from the audience.
if you think about it this comment is literally pointless, it’s a historical document, nothing can be changed, atleast it exists, what else were you hoping for exactly ? The full pro shot circulates already anyways
@@newflavaz1583 then what’s the point of posting this? I don’t care if it’s historical I’ve read so much about 1979 UK concerts why do I need some fan boys crappy 8 mm camera to say all this is awesome. The best thing ever get over it. If it was official full release that would be historical.
@@r.uthere.6201 you don’t get it and that’s completely fine , it’s more of a zeppelin nerd thing to be excited about knebworth sources coming out, most people don’t really care (I’m happy this came out and it is quite interesting to me but I’m not that bothered if I’m being totally honest with all due respect to everybody involved in this film coming out)
I am curious what you were hoping for though
@@r.uthere.6201you either get it or you dont. And clearly you do not and you never will. So please just leave. We can do without your ignorance.
