Hi. I had a small music shop in Turkey . I used to sell music cassettes, albums. I'm 57 now. I have been listening Led Zeppelin over 40 years with the same exact joy. I even had a chance to small chit chat with them that showed me how amazingly humble they were. They were the most important famous people I met in my life. They were so normal, sincere and gentlemen. No complimants or anything. We talked for about 20-25 minutes and drank tea with Robert. After the concert was finished I tried to learn where do they would stay in.Next day I''ve found and waited by the hotel. When Robert went out I kissed him and hugged him. He Asked me about the previous day's concert performance.I said time passed so fast like a dream. I said I came about 1000 km from my town Adana to İstanbul for the concert he said please drive carrefully. I took LZ 3 LP (which I've bought and brought back to that concert) in İtaly when I was 21 y.o. in 1983 and they signed the album LZ 3 Long Play. I even had a chance to small chit chat with them that showed me how amazingly humble they were. I was waiting for Jimmy, he was crouching and shopping at a peddler who sold cheap imitation watches near the hotel street. I talked to him for 5-6 minutes. He was also gentleman, sincere like a normal person. I loved them more because they are the most important band of history (according to me) and so normal people like a teacher or friends. I am hoping that I don't die before them and they keep playing their amazing music. Lucky me. I've also met Michael Lee. RİP Michael.Lee and Bonzo. You're the greatest drummers of all. At the concert it was forbidden taking photos.Security took the film from my camera. But I've hidden another film in my socks. So I've taken many photos:) There were somebody who recorded the all the sound of the concert his hands in the air all night long. After 30 years I've found him in internet. He'll give me the recordings of the concert and I'll give him the night's photos. Long Story Short . . . Its Boxing day 2015. I am communicating with a dude from the USA and I'm in Sydney, Australia. This hombre tells me that his dad was a roadie for Zeppelin in 1977. This cool fan sent me pictures of Led Zeppelin that I have NEVER Seen before or since. His dad was a massive Led Zeppelin fan and managed to get tickets to both Knebworth gigs in England in 1979. So what I hear you all say ….. This guy sent me a wmv file of the second 1979 Knebworth gig. It was hard, raw footage and Zeppelin and the sound . . . atrocious. The version here, which I love as well as the fantastic version of the self titled - Led Zeppelin DVD - are outstanding. Jimmy Page has obviously mixed copies/edits/grabs off In the Evening on TH-cam. I am glad Pagey did this as the sound and mixes off the second '79 Knebworth gig, in particular his solo's were truly awful. Heroin . . . Page's performances in '77, 79 ands 1980 were severely hampered by heroin. Zeppelin in '77 - this fan sent me a second file of predominantly Jimmy Page performances from 1977. They were amazing good videos albeit short. Why don't I share these videos - This 15 year old had amazingly good IT skills. On this file was an amazingly good version of In the Evening from 1980. No video but just sound, I was blown way. After I watched this file 5 times I received a message that said 'You Have Exceeded the Maximum Usage' and the file DELETED itself." Dohh
I've heard this song live and on the album and, it's one of the better ones from In Through The Out Door. It's not my favorite Zep album but, this, "Fool In The Rain" and "All My Love", excellent songs so, I don't write this album off like some Zep fans I know.
Well he made up for it when he was off his head....if you don't play you might not know he was a very sloppy and messy player sometimes...still a legend none the same.
It doesn't seem like he was playing on the beat as much as the beat was keeping up with him tbh. He's always played loose (or 'sloppy' as purists would call it) but here, at times, it seems Bonham and Jones have to reel him in.

LED Zeppelin a maior banda de rock pauleira de todos os tempos 🇧🇷🔥🤘🏽🎤🎹🎸🥁👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Life is beautiful with Led Zeppelin. İsn't it?

Yes.. The world is better for us lucky fans to have Zep in our lives💫✌️
what a moving way to share this encounter, you must be as gentle as they are. I read your story listening to this incredible masterpiece and you added pleasure to my pleasure, thank you Sir.
Thanks for your story. I have heard similar things about them from other folks.
I had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy in September 2015 at a coffee shop in Holland Park, London. I was very nervous and he was very kind.
Dude you walked and talked with gods. Truly blessed you are 😎
~ 6:30 I like how jimmy was imitating Roberts voice with the whammy bar....the greatest band to exist. untouchable
So cute hahaha
Bien sûr , à bien écouter le groupe on se rend compte de l’énorme potentiel
And this is one of the many reasons why Led Zeppelin is the best band in History. 😊💗
I so agree💯🥰💖👍⭐👌💌
Some will argue it's Pink Floyd, or Deep Purple, or Metallica, or even Aerosmith. One thing is for sure and that is Bonzo is the greatest hard rock drummer that ever lived.
@@metalmike570 Keith Moon. Zeppelin is overrated. Trash lyrics and plagiarism.
@@dociebiemowie915 Looka t them physically. Bonzo - 6 feet tall 225 lbs. Heaviest hitting drummer most people think so. Keith Moon - like Lars Ulrich. LMAO
@@metalmike570 Peart and Moon >>> Bonzo
Zeppelin had a magical mysticism about them. Lyrically, and musically, no one compares.
That first chunky note Page plays at the beginning of the solo is the best...it's like you're entering into his dimension, his little world...welcome and prepare to have your face melted.
No mater how many times I watch this Im blown away!
This live & Since I’ve Been Loving You live at MSG (1973), are my 2 favorites, but I love all from them.
This will always be my favorite song by Zep. It reminds me of the summer after graduation partying with my friends. My brothers. Many gone now. Great times and great memories. Thank you Zep.
Me too. The memories.
'80 grad agrees.
The sounds they could create live with 70’s technology is simply amazing. It shows you how great they were live and as a collective group. Simply the best
To be fair they did have the very best technology available at the time. Look at that telephone on JP's keyboard.
@@Jlipnicki😅😅😅😅
Led Zeppelin their music 🎶 🎵 is most definitely original, there is no one like them 🎉🎉. They are totally unique and they have a style and sound that's just timeless and classic 🎉🎉
Greatest concert ever. I know because I was there
Me too ... great memories.
I remember hanging out with my my buddies and asking 'hey do we like this album now?' What a relief because the answer was affirmative across the board.
John Bonham, not Joe...
@@rhythmista7707 You're right, sorry the typo came out.
The Lord of the strings and sounds of the hammer of the Gods - Led Zeppelin !!!!
1000000000000000000 procent true
Dear God. It don't get better than this.
I love the fact that Page tries to reproduce the strange effect at the beginning of the solo on the record
Legendary
My father bought me in through the out door when i was ? 14,was only albu. I owned i played it over and over .loved it thn. This live version is great. Dad passed in April. Tribute. R i p .c.j.s!!
One of the best songs by Zeppelin.
I was there it was a great day out.
Zeppelin were in top form.
Plant was so good on stage...his presence... thanks to u tube...an Internet....he moves and acts like he sounds on radio what an awesome front man...the ultimate going way back...coolest part is they really sound like that live not a lot of over dubbing... Jimmy had the sound dialed in... always upgrading...he was a Master...
Even going through their own personal problems (apart from JPJ), nobody but, nobody could come anywhere near Led Zeppelin. They were colosul. The best that was, & will ever be.
JPJ? And that haircut? 😉
So thankful for no pitch correction or auto tune. It makes it feel real.
Led zeppelin fantastic band I was at that concert 19 at the time showing my age now
I love the way Jimmy smiles at about 7:31. It likes he knows they nailed it.
Same thing happened during achilles as well on that night
He's smiling because he knows it was a miracle that his guitar stayed in tune. 😄🎸
@@MarcoPolo-je5ej without a locking nut, it's a real miracle
I noticed that also. Love this song. Best version/ video of it, period! Thanks for the post.
Now that’s rock n roll ladies and gentlemen. Dammmm. That was great live performance. By the MIGHTY ZEPPELIN. !! Absolutely awesome !!!
Best version of this song!! Love it so much!!!
There are some pretty killer 1980 live performances of this track FYI. Dortmund 6-17-80 being one. Cheers.
Hands down the best.
Puts the album version to SHAME!!!
Jimmy Page has obviously mixed copies/edits/grabs off
In the Evening on TH-cam.
After I watched this file 5 times I received a message that said
'You Have Exceeded the Maximum Usage' and the file DELETED itself." Dohh
I've heard this song live and on the album and, it's one of the better ones from In Through The Out Door. It's not my favorite Zep album but, this, "Fool In The Rain" and "All My Love", excellent songs so, I don't write this album off like some Zep fans I know.
It is truly amazing that while Jimmy was going thru the withdrawals he still never missed a beat. That is how he did it. So beautiful to watch and see
Well he made up for it when he was off his head....if you don't play you might not know he was a very sloppy and messy player sometimes...still a legend none the same.
@@123emser in his heoin days he was!
@@123emser Was the yardstick all other guitarists were measured by.
All of zep gave it their all. Remember that. Giants
It doesn't seem like he was playing on the beat as much as the beat was keeping up with him tbh. He's always played loose (or 'sloppy' as purists would call it) but here, at times, it seems Bonham and Jones have to reel him in.
Was there in 79 at 19 yrs old incredible can’t explain blessed I am …took me weeks to get over the amazing time I had …unbelievable experience in life ..the world was mine ‘✌🏻love ya mr plant and zeppers u truely r the most incredible musicians … mind blowing wish I cud back to those times again …wot a life for rockers a wealth of amazing gigs we did see that’s how it was for us … life changing stuff let me say … life was real and grounded ….and wonderful wot a time to b young 😁
And no idiots holding up their phones 🙂🙃🙂
Question: Why does no one cover this song? Answer: Because they are categorically unable to.
When Gods still walked the Earth!
Robert sounds amazing here!!
Led Zeppelin! Gods of Rock N Roll! The 70s will always be their reigning decade! No one could touch them!
I'm glad that Jimmy Page found peace within himself and got his act together to this day where his real talent shines.
I'm glad Jimmy was able to save himself, so many can't. I've never hear how he accomplished it. Surely he must have had some help.
Indeed but it's a shame he trashed himself later on around the time of Live Aid. He was wasted and played terrible at that gig.
Clapton never really recovered
pretty sure his 'real talent' has been shinning since he fist picked up a guitar, SMFH. He was the top Sessions player way before he founded, started Led Zeppelin
@@theresacarmen9847 he actually said because of what happened to bonham that he got straight
Best band ever..love this live version..ROBERT PLANT is the man!!..
I am lucky enough to see zepp live in 73, 75 and two nights in a row in 1977 (when they played six nights at the forum here in L.A.). I think the shows in 77 we're my favorite, in particular " Achilles last stand" where Bonham was frigging relentless on the drums.
Congratulations.
I wish that I could be there too
ZEP WAS AND IS "THE GREATEST ROCK "N" ROLL BAND EVER IN THE HISTORY OF RECORDED MUSIC. DONE. JP JONES SUPER UNDERRATED BASS PLAYER/KEYBOARD PLAYER. GENIUS MUSICIANS. PAGE. JONES. BONHAM. BEASTS. PLANT BEST ROCK SINGER. DONE.
That drum fills... this is why I keep listening this
Many think Bonzo (Bonham) is the greatest hard rock drummer that ever lived. I gotta agree.
7:15 -- that build up to the ending man….🤯
Bonham and Page
Anyone else notice Plant looks right at Jimmy and his tone changes when he says "It's got to stop, it's got to stop" almost like pleading with his brother to stop the hard life with drugs when they were beginning to take over. Maybe I'm just reading into it?
Still my favorite band of all time!!!!!! ❤
Yep - think you are, Not that it's inaccurate but......
Looks that way to me too!!! Glad he got better.
Those drums fills from 7:17 - Bonham has the band on a yoyo; pushing them forward, pulling them back, playing with time. Incredible.
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. What a group. We are so fortunate to have been able to hear their work.
Led Zeppelin is the Best Fucking band in the world! !
No Shit!!
Absolutely!!! 🤘🏻
