Jimmy page is one of the most captivating soloist the rock world has ever known. Daring, spontaneous, melodic, bluesy, diverse, flashy, breathtaking, and yes sloppy . That's the best part , the sloppiness , the ability to play with heart and feeling , the master at improvising . Who said that rock n roll had to be played perfect . Page may occasionally crash and burn, the next moment he's soaring to unprecedented heights. Yes, that's why he's my favorite guitar player of all time. Long live ZEPPELIN , GO PAGE 🎸

Led Zeppelin performed their first public concert at all in Denmark as ‘The New Yeardbirds’ on 7 September 1968 in Gladsaxe Teen Club near Copenhagen - the group was only one week old, and they rehearsed (Yeardbird songs?) all afternoon. Before the concert the organizers were a bit disappointed that it was not the original Yeardbirds, but only Jimmy Page with a new band. After the concert they were not disappointed at all.
Next time Led Zeppelin came to Denmark, as you can see, they still had to introduce them selves, because the first LP was not out in Europe yet.
I remember seeing this on Danish Television back then. For years I thought the recording was lost. Fortunately it wasn't.

Even when Jimmy is playing his solo, it's impossible to block out and forget JPJ and Bonham. This song is underrated. It describes how many men are treated by women who want rings, pearls etc. but are not able to return the feelings the men offer for them. I am very happy for this performance because it presents the feelings of many men who are lost in their love and are treated harshly by their beloved women!; I am also experiencing such a phase in my life at this moment, but what can you do if you are lost in a women´s trap? It sometimes hurts to the extreme! Led Zeppelin is the only band which describes love-relations like they are. Thank you! This song gives me the spirit for another try to catch my "soul-mate´s" heart - I am not really sure if she is my soul-mate but I hope so! How many more times??? Yes, how many more times? Rielle, please surrender! It is only for your best fortune! I may look like a stubborn guy to you, but that is only the surface! Please go deeper!!!
This performance is like an early sign of how Led Zeppelin would rock the 70tees!!! Page, Plant, Jones and not least Bonham are genius from the beginning; like dynamit!!! Mr. Jones plays genuine bass-lines, That is the reason why no other band comes close.

The first time I heard Zeppelin was around 10, but I didn't know the band name. It took a few more years but I was hooked ever since. Just think that the audience is probably around 60s-70s by now. And he was even better after he changed his drumming style in 1971. He became more powerful with less effort. More wrist action.

They had just written the first album, then went to Denmark to play it live...like practice it....so this is one of the very very first recordings of a live Led Zep performance.... Could be THE first...then returned to the USA and they had blown up. Great story. I am 69.... man what a time that was . I had the pleasure of spending 3 years in Vietnam (1970-73) so .....I remember coming back and man soooooo much of the music had changed.

I remember sitting in my friend's 1957 metallic purple Chevy in 1969 listening to this, stoned out of my head, just cruising n rocking out, I was 16 and all was right with the world.. We called Zeppelin heavy, that meant real deep n awesome.. They weren't what we considered some want to be cool band's, bubblegum music.. Good time's!! 🎶🤘🎵

Yes. I didn't get to see them live (Stones I managed), but having gone through their archive over and again, there is no doubt left: Zeppelin was greatest. For the decade that it lasted - probably the freest decade humanity ever experienced, and ever will experience.
