Yeah we sat up all day and night to watch this in the UK more or less just waiting to see Led Zepp and in spite of how shit this clearly is, at the time I was ecstatic to see them playing live on the TV.
Only Led Zeppelin fans will see the sloppiest, most drug fueled disaster of a set in the history of rock and roll and twist it into "yeah thats why they were the goats"
He did sound a bit hoarse but you need to be able to hear yourself through the monitors. They were set up while already on stage. Not much of a sound check either.
Ironically if Plant had as originally billed played a solo set rather than this reunion we'd probably have got a much better performance. Certain a properly rehearsed one.

Hey guys this is not only gonna be in front of a full stadium but it’s gonna broadcast live across the world, think we should practice? Nah let’s wing it.
It wasn't their best show. But they didn't have anything to prove. They already done did that in the 70's. Plus it's only partial Zeppelin, and Page was still strung out on heroine. Plant, probably a qualeude or 3. It probably sounded great to them. Haha!
@@Peachie4011 Yeah but it was a real bummer on the day because they had been one of the top live acts - they basically started arena rock - and everyone had been waiting all day, for something we thought would never happen, but then it turned out like this. Then for years we all remembered them for this horrible day, not for the giants they had been. That's why O2 was so important; they proved that they still had it, and now we all remember them as giants again. I'm kind of glad they never went on tour after that, because their reputation is secure now. P.S. I think you'll find Plant was clean by the end of the 80's; which is why 'In Through The Out Door' is pretty much a Robert Plant and John Paul Jones album; because those two were clean, while Bonzo was a raging alcoholic and Jimmy Page was a heroin addict.
@@WinslowLeach1974 haha compared to the new pop music yes. but listen to their concert in royal albert hall 1970 or how the west was won that's some ream Zep!
What a lot people forget …. Nobody thought Led Zeppelin would happen again. Bands were coming together left and right to be apart of this event that day. I skipped high school class that day with friends to watch this once in a lifetime show. As the rumor built during the day that this was going to happen, nobody gave a crap how good it was on stage. The fact it happened was what made it a special event.
Oh I must respectfully disagree! Everyone who loved Zep was expecting a superb performance but got majorly let down. Plants voice was off and did Jimmy even tune 🎵 his guitar 🎸? Phil was all wrong ( in my opinion) . But, in 2007 with Jason on 🥁 drums had the groove just right and they shined. A happy ending 😊 Page, Plant and Jones brought their “A” game too.
Jimmy Page : "This blonde guy next to me must be the singer"... Robert Plant: "Now... where's west? Hope I turn my head in the right direction" Phil Collins: "Help!!! Somebody get me out of here!!" John Paul Jones: "Thankfully no camera is taking footage of me... I'll claim later I was not on that show"
@@entangledbandaustralia6671 Zeppelin is probably the Greatest band after the beatles, there were many things that led to this fucking awful performance, zeppelin in the 70s were in a different league to everyone
Because its not him.... Its Paul Martinez, and the whole thing was a fucking mess, Page was junked out, Collins was pissed and luckily had a second drummer 'as he does often' Tony Thompson who carried him, can even see parts where Phil isnt playing and Robert plant was way off his game. It was a fucking mess that seriously damaged the reputation of one of the worlds biggest bands and they all blame each other for it to this day...... They all fucked up and we all saw it.... LIVE
He and Phil Collins held it together as best they could but tbf they help from Paul Martinez and Tony Thompson. Page and Plant were an absolute mess and embarrassment.
And those late 80's shows were awful too. That's why they did the "reunion" in 2007 because Plant said they didn't want to be remembered that way, so they rehearsed like crazy & did the 2007 reunion which was good because they took it seriously. I know several old heads who saw them in the 70's & they all said that LZ were one of the sloppiest live bands they ever seen. Angus Young said out of all his contemporaries, LZ were the worst live band of them all. John Paul Jones said that during the 70's Page, Bonham & Plant were "more interested in the sex & drugs as opposed to the rock & roll." He said he was an outcast in their social scene because he wasn't into doing coke & booze all night & molesting pubescent girls like his band mates. He said they were always too hung over to rehearse & that's why the shows were crap. The reason they got it right in 2007 was because Page & Plant finally grew up & took practice & rehearsal seriously & also for the fact that they are now creepy old men & too old to be molesting underage girls.
It's weird that two seventies bands, Queen and Led Zeppelin, both performed. One gave arguably the greatest performance of the twentieth century and the other took a combined total of 27KG cocaine before the gig.
Haydn Evans Not to defend LZ for this, but there is a difference. Queen were active in the early 80's and were touring The Works into '85. Led Zep hadn't played live for 5 years and had lost their original drummer. Doesn't excuse them for not rehearsing though (which Queen did)
Pretty freaking good . Legendary artists who loved their work. You could tell that they were very passionate about their performance and its quality. Phil is one of my favorite artists of all time. Vocals and drums, just amazingly gifted. I hope he pulls through these tough times in his life. So thankful for all the great music these artists have given us.
It doesn't matter because THEY ARE LED ZEPPELIN. Bro, Robert Plant could spit on my face and i would thank him so much that i would die of thankfulness.
@@margiekinlaw4260 to be fair, they saw Queen that day the same way we see them now, on a screen, albeit a much larger one and surrounded by several thousand people. I say this because Zeppelin played at JFK in Philly while Queen of course played at Wembley in London
For Gen X this was huge. The only chance we got, as teenagers, to see Zep was in 1980 - and then Bonham died. And they said, "forget it!" - they weren't touring again, ever. So - five years later, it was huge that they were gonna do a live set - with Peak Phil Collins, no less. It was really a testament to how big an event Live Aid really was. It may not have been 1972 Led Zeppelin, but that there was any LZ at all was a big deal.
Tommy Ripple you’re so stupid. You apparently don’t understand anything about music history. Watch the interview with Jimmy Page talking about he thought this show was atrocious
Me and my girlfriend frequented a little club in Chicago in the late 80s or 90s. Approaching the club we saw a Little van pull up and my girlfriend said, David Coverdale just went in. She loved led Zeppelin and whitesnake. But when we got in we both realize it was Robert plant. She was so mesmerized, she refused to approach him.. So I went over and said, my girlfriend is so afraid to meet you. And he said, well wheel her on over then. As he approached to kiss her, she turned her head and he kissed her on the cheek. He was so gracious. I will never forget it
I love my led zep but it’s just a bad performance but as a 9yr old watching this I was thinking it was the best thing yet my older brothers all were like “what’s going on?” And they were right but still love LZ
If you asked Jimmy, it was all Collins' fault. I guess Collins told Jimmy to come late, not tune, sniff truckloads of drugs, run into the mic stand repeatedly, add superfluous effects to the guitar and forget the songs... I haven't even mentioned Plant's "performance". Yup, ALL Collins' fault... I'm just so glad it was recorded 🤣😂🤮💯🏆🥳
Jimmy had only had one hour to practice for this show because for the prior month before, he was too busy inhaling blow up his nose. Again, total disrespect on his part toward his craft and the paying audience.
@@binaychhetri6984 How so? I would like for you to expand on that point if you please. Really, the insight is valuable and appreciated. Listening to Zeppelin's last performance ( Berlin, 7th July, 1980 ) is listening to the showcase of a wreckage with only Jonesy holding it all together.
For all the critics on here who weren't even born yet, in 1985, when this happened, when it seemed as though it would NEVER happen again, this was the greatest thing in the world.
nah, after Bonham's death that Jimmy went 3 years without picking up the guitar and sank into drugs (which explains his shitty performance in this and other shows from 80's), and the voice of the Robert is still good even today (obviously not as much as when he was young, but still very good) but that day he had the flu, in addition to the cold and the pressure of singing in front of the whole world after years apart from the band
No, Jimmy has already stated that it was all Collins' fault. Collins was obviously playing the guitar and messed up that solo. Paige's words, not mine 😉
well, him doing old 50s songs at the time, like Sea of Love, didn't exactly help him rejuvenating that Led Zep's ROCK god vocals he used to have a decade before....
Couldn't agree more. I swear I also seem him giving Phil a bit of a pep talk during Stairway. Really says something when a singer can think of someone else when every eyeball in the globe is watching him.
On the guitar we have lil wayne On lead vocals we have Chad kroeger On the drums we have phil Collins And finally on the bass we have the rest of Led Zeppelin
@@YeshuaHaMaschiah Yes, this Led Zeppelin performance was weak compared to their others but they never reversed. At least they showed up. Also, Phil Collins is no John Bonham but that doesn't make him a lousy drummer. He just did not know Zeppelin tunes clearly.

It was an amazing shambolic performance! Watching it again is a mix of pain and sheer delight. The crowed loved it Watching on TV I loved it. They rocked up on the day and did their thing for the crowd and the crowd loved it.
From Phil Collins’ autobiography, Not Dead Yet: I know the wheels are falling off from early on in the set. I can’t hear Robert clearly from where I’m sat, but I can hear enough to know that he’s not on top of his game. Ditto Jimmy. I don’t remember playing Rock And Roll, but obviously I did. But I do remember an awful lot of time where I can hear what Robert decries as ‘knitting’: fancy drumming. And if you can find the footage (the Zeppelin camp have done their best to scrub it from the history books), you can see me miming, playing the air, getting out of the way lest there be a trainwreck. If I’d known it was to be a two-drummer band, I would have removed myself from proceedings long before I got anywhere near Philadelphia. Onstage I don’t take my eyes off Tony Thompson. I’m glued to him. I’m having to follow - he’s taking the heavy-handed lead and has opted to ignore all my advice. Putting myself in his shoes, he’s probably thinking, “This is the beginning of a new career. John Bonham isn’t around any more. They’re gonna want someone. This could be the start of a Led Zeppelin reunion. And I don’t need this English fuck in my way.” I’m not judging him, god rest his soul. Thompson was a fantastic drummer. but it was very uncomfortable, and if I could have left that stage, I would have left, halfway through Stairway... if not earlier. But imagine the coverage of that? Walking off during The Second Coming? Who the fuck does Collins think he is? Geldof really would have had something to swear about. After what seems like an eternity, we finish. I’m thinking, ‘My god, that was awful. The sooner this is over, the better.” There’s one more moment of horror. backstage, MTV VJ Alan Hunter is waiting to interview Led Zeppelin. The sweat still damp on our brows, the bad taste still ripe in my mouth, we gather outside the caravan of doom. Back in the studio, he’s teed up the interview with the words: “On a day for reunions, probably the most anticipated is the Led Zeppelin reunion. Now right here, an interview with the reunited members…” Hunter starts asking questions, and it’s quickly obvious that nobody is taking him seriously. Robert and Jimmy are being difficult, giving vague, cocky answers to straight questions; John Paul Jones is still quieter than a church mouse. I feel sorry for Hunter. He’s live on air, a worldwide audience is waiting with bated breath, and these guys are making him look like an idiot. In a shutting stable door after the horse has bolted style, Led Zeppelin won’t let the performance be included on the official Live Aid DVD. Because, of course, they were ashamed of it. And I find that I am usually the one blamed for it. It couldn’t possibly be the holy Led Zep who were at fault. It was that geezer who came over on Concorde who wasn’t rehearsed. He was the culprit. That show-off.
I always laugh when I hear Page blame the drummers for the sloppiness. 2 minutes in an he’s tripping over mic stands and looks like he’s coked out of his mind. 2:13 I love Zep but I’d bet my life that John Paul Jones is the only person on stage who practiced anything before showing up.
You are not kidding. I've had tears streaming down my face from laughing so hard and just when I think they can't get any funnier, I scroll down a little more and laugh a little longer.
Obviously you have never seen video of Keith Richards singing "Happy" at the L.A. Forum in 1975. He was so wasted that Mick had to take over the lead vocal. There are several postings of it on TH-cam.
Collins wasn't even told they got another drummer on stage. He said he would have walked out of the situation if he could. Plant lost his voice, Page was stoned out of his mind and couldn't play. The other drummer ignored Collins. Phil couldn't hear anything but the other drums, so he had to follow and do his best. The disarter wasn't the fault of Phil Collins. It was skipping the rehearsing and the drugs (especially Page's drug use). Most importantly, it was the fact that in the past John Bonham patched up the mistakes of Plant and Page, with his impecable sense of rhythm, and that was the key of success for Led Z. Zeppelin died with Bonham. John Paul Jones was sharp as always, the most professional musician, but sadly, the most ignored member of the band.
It was all the ridiculous narrative that formed where Phil Collins had to play multiple venues with as many bands as he could. Jimmy wasn't ever happy with Collins being involved, but they had a chat beforehand about the numbers - especially the intro to Rock and Roll and he agreed to go along with it. Jimmy explained the tricky timing of the famous false start intro and Collins agreed with everything he said (and presumably made exactly the same mistake everyone makes when they cover that song). They also weren't using their own techs and Jimmy just trusted that they would be looked after by people who actually knew what they were doing. They came on to the intro of Rock and Roll and it seemed that Collins really had no idea how the tricky intro even went and he completely murdered it. All of Jimmy's guitars were out of tune, it was ridiculous. Jimmy always prided himself on the sublime quality of Led Zeppelin and John Bonham and I don't think he ever forgot or forgave Collins for that.
Jimmy was stoned as hell. He later criticized Phil Collins as "bashing away" randomly but Phil was saving their bacon by covering Jimmy's many mistakes and the fact Robert's voice sounded like a lovesick water buffalo. JPJ did as much as he could to rescue this car accident of a performance.
Eric Beer I beg to differ! Phil sucked too! His timing was WAY off. Not saying that Jimmy was good though. He was a hot mess and was probably drunk or something.
Phil didn't even play though out most of it. Plant didn't tell him they had another drummer besides him. He just acted like he was playing and let Tony bang at it. And when you are as high as Page was you have no business being up there at all. Phil has said if he had been told Tony was playing with them he wouldn't have even gone on, he did it because Plant asked him too, they are still friends.
Me: _(listens to the live aid album on Spotify)_ * wonders why led Zeppelin's performance isn't included * Also me: _(Watches this video)_ *understands...*
I was 15 and thought I was young then. Damn look at how young they were! We all watched it as it came on TV and made sure not to miss the performances. Almost none of us could have recorded it then. We had live TV, cassettes and LP’s only. If you missed Power Station or Zeppelin performance or others, you wouldn’t be seeing it for a long time again.
you people are retarded. this wasn't even close to as bad as everyone making it out to be. if anything give Jimmy props for being in the state he was and still being able to play like he did
I just saw an interview where Jimmy said “it was the drummers fault.Phil Collins didn’t know how to play Rock n’ Roll.” Yeah, the drummers and the kilo of blow you did in the helicopter on the way to the show!
I was there and it was Epic You had to b there to even understand and I also saw Zep in the 70’s in their heyday People were starving for any Zeppelin they could get back then and if u listen to the crowd it didn’t sound like any haters among the 110k people there Add to the fact that the Goodyear blimp was flying overhead when they came out
Sarah Goaman That’s a cheap comment. Sir Plant always sang that line as a way to symbolize the spirit of the song even in his earlier days. - From a shitless slave region of humanism being suffered under hoon-tribe-originated-parasitism and kiki'she' collectivism which is known as the name 'Korea', whose dwellers always steals and begs from Japan's original history which clearly inherited sincere humanity in Ancient Cudara more than its 'original' dwellers in hometown.
Yeah, it fun and it's historic but I've GOT to do this: Plant: "It's been a long time since I rock and rolled" _(and my vocals prove it)_ Page: (bumps into mic stand) _"Apparently it's been a long time since I TOOK a stroll"._
I just finished reading Phil Collins book and he talks a lot about this particular show. Robert Plant asked him to do something with just the two of them. And then he said we'll bring Jimmy along. And then he said John Paul Jones will be joining as well. And then Phil found out they were practicing with another drummer while he was stuck in England. By the time he flew over on the Concorde he said Jimmy was already out of his mind and the environment was somewhat toxic. He really didn't even want to go on but they had made such a big deal about him flying over on the Concorde that he had to do it. And some parts during this show he even air drummed where he didn't want to compete with the other drummer who had practiced and was not thrilled that Phil was the second drummer. Overall Phil felt the performance was pretty much a train wreck.
The other drummer was the late great Tony Thompson. Tony was highly respected as a "timepiece" and had some powerful chops. But it seems like everyone in the band had set their clock to a different time zone. At least Tony put it on his resume and moved on down the road...🎩🎼🎩
1st of all. It was the sound at this entire concert that caused the bad recording of this. Go back and watch any of the Live Aid concert and you realize it wasn't that the bands suck. It was the quality of the sound and certainly the recording equipment. I was glued to my parents tv for most of it. Poor Phil catches grief for his performance and that's mainly because the camera guy kept panning to just him and not the other drummer who was bashing the crap outta the 1st song. You gotta give them all credit for even being there and realize how hard it was for them to try and do this on a moments notice. Led Zeppelin hadn't played together in over 5 years up until this moment. Im still very grateful for this and had they chosen to reconcile, I would've been 1st in line for tickets and buying all the following albums. Long Live Led Zeppelin, Rock n Roll will never die. ❤
@@Twistypoo... moments notice.... they did not rehearse with Phil Collins who flew in straight to the gig ... I thought they did well... We don't mention that Zep was even there. It was so bad because they didn't want to practice. I still love 'em tho. Everyone has a bad show, just not broadcast to over a billion people.
Fun fact. They were so disappointed in this performance that they didn't allow it to be included in any home media, but they donated the proceeds from their Unledded DVD.
Phil Collins later said that flying to Philly was the worst idea ever. Page just barked at him and then got so thoroughly pissed he couldn't play, Plant had done ZERO preparation for the gig, so his voice gives out real early on. Even the drummer (Tony Thompson, I think) was rude to Collins and clearly did NOT want him there. Only John Paul Jones remained friendly and sober. What a train wreck...
Paul Martinez, it was. He thought he was gonna be there new drummer for Zeppelin and was threatened by Phil being there, and on top of that none of them had rest rehearsed together
Lol what dreck, the three of Zep had jammed with Thompson for weeks before Live Aid and then continued to jam after Live Aid, it's evident Collins just hopped on with no rehearsal to look like some sort of theatrical jet-setting hero for playing both Live Aids. At some points Collins isn't even playing, he's miming and looking at Thompson for what to do
"Real early on" doesn't seem like it could be an understatement, but it is here. His voice didn't survive the first verse of the first song. He's already John Lennon-ing the melody by the time he gets to the first turnaround, about 20 seconds into his performance.
Page and Phil bore 50% guilt each. Phil was unable to play both Rock'nroll and Whole Lotta. He didn't know the rythm pattern, nor the fills. He is clueless. He looks to the other, much better, drummer what to do. Page had all the right in the world to blame Phil for the half of the train wreck, himself for the rest.. It would have sounded (and looked) 50% better hadn't Phil been there. The other drummer did fine.
@@MeBallerman if they have no showed Phil Collins how to play that's like you or me getting asked to play drums ,Collins played genesis drums fine ,he had a lot of his solo albums succesfull ,Peter Gabriel is the best genisis singer
Whatever else was going on with this performance, it's clear how far apart they all were in where their musical focus was at the time. Everyone on the stage was actively involved in very different kinds of projects with very different styles. Watching this feels like trying to push two magnets together.
Christine Morse Just have them listen to the MSG ‘73 concerts (The Song Remains the Same). Absolutely flawless performances at their very peak. That’ll stop the mocking real quick lol
No....you're incorrect. Although not Zepps finest hour, they will think how great our Mom is to like an explosive, raw, unrehearsed, seat of the pants set of rock music performed by excellent musicians. And if I'm wrong...let them continue enjoying what....they....like...which is.................................................hmm...
I never did get why this performance gets such harsh criticism. Are they a bit rusty, yes. To be expected after not playing together for several years, and it's their first ever performance without John Bonham. Still I would rather listen to this than most of the other acts who played Live Aid and a lot of what was to come for the next few decades. If there's one thing I think Led Zeppelin could have used throughout their touring days, and here certainly, would have been a good 2nd guitarist.
When you're 17 years old and stoned it was awesome. I was there and now I'm 53. It sounded a lot better up close. I'd still rather say I was there than not 😀

P.S. I think you'll find Plant was clean by the end of the 80's; which is why 'In Through The Out Door' is pretty much a Robert Plant and John Paul Jones album; because those two were clean, while Bonzo was a raging alcoholic and Jimmy Page was a heroin addict.
Maybe because I'm not really a Zep fan the performance didn't bother me, I like some good sloppy rock and roll, Zep was good here.

And 95
They played Atlantics 40th anniversary concert in 88
What happened in 2007?
@chwthomas09 that was even worse than this. Ever see Heartbreaker from the 88' show?

From Phil Collins’ autobiography, Not Dead Yet:
I know the wheels are falling off from early on in the set.
And I don’t need this English fuck in my way.”
I’m not judging him, god rest his soul.
The sooner this is over, the better.”
There’s one more moment of horror. backstage, MTV VJ Alan Hunter is waiting to interview Led Zeppelin. The sweat still damp on our brows, the bad taste still ripe in my mouth, we gather outside the caravan of doom. Back in the studio, he’s teed up the interview with the words: “On a day for reunions, probably the most anticipated is the Led Zeppelin reunion. Now right here, an interview with the reunited members…”
Hunter starts asking questions, and it’s quickly obvious that nobody is taking him seriously.

2:11 Worse yet, nobody told Jimmy Page that mic stand was going to take a swing at him.

You had to b there to even understand and I also saw Zep in the 70’s in their heyday
People were starving for any Zeppelin they could get back then and if u listen to the crowd it didn’t sound like any haters among the 110k people there
Add to the fact that the Goodyear blimp was flying overhead when they came out
"Does anybody remember laughter?" Yes, after watching this and reading the comments 😂
Sarah Goaman
That’s a cheap comment.
Damn this is a assault on my ears but when I saw it at the time I was all over it but than again I was 9

@@아홉시똥덩이떼몇달간 dude you're fkin weird man

Phil Collins was always my favorite member of Led Zepp.
Looks and sounds like a wedding band covering LedZep.
Nah. I was in a bar band, we covered some Zep and we sounded way tighter than this. At least we were in tune.
Ha ha ha!!!!!! I’m dying 😂😂😂
Wed Zeppelin
Thank goodness they got their shit together and gave us one last great concert in 07. That is how I’ll choose to remember them.
Yeah, it fun and it's historic but I've GOT to do this:
Plant: "It's been a long time since I rock and rolled" _(and my vocals prove it)_
Page: (bumps into mic stand) _"Apparently it's been a long time since I TOOK a stroll"._
*****
That's what happens with no rehearsals. And some primo drugs.
yesssssssssssssssssssssssss heeeeheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
That’s hilarious 😂
"...been a long lonely lonely time." (Phil Collins thinks to himself "being bald sure is lonely indeed")
See maybe they WERE all together after all..
Guy Fawkes all I can say is thank god they did London 2007 so that was their swan song and not this or the other off key nightmares that happened
Gotta love how these important moments in rock history are immaculately preserved in the highest quality possible on this internet page.
Overall Phil felt the performance was pretty much a train wreck.
he shoulda stayed in England...he wanted to be bigger than the event itself...
This is 100% correct. He was a total cornball ham then. 80s version of Dave Grohl
Dude. Just look at whole lotta love. He don't know the song. The one Who did a mess was Phil Collins.
Couldn't agree any more. All of you were horrible.
That doesn’t explain Queen sounding incredible.
@@Twistypoo... moments notice.... they did not rehearse with Phil Collins who flew in straight to the gig ... I thought they did well... Queen had a week but they made it count... millions benefitted in Ethiopia... that was live aid 85
..a memorable day .. watched it live in London.. deserted streets.. great day
18:35 even the tambourine wanted no part of this dumpster fire
Erik Hastad 🤣🤣🤣
The tambourine had already suffered enough of a bashing and wanted nothing more to do with this train wreck.
BAAAHAHAHAhahahaha
I'm genuinely laughing out loud here, I read your comment and thought what on earth is he on about.
🤣😂😅😅🤣🤣😂
Fun fact: the Hindenburg only flew for 22:07 before it burst into flames and crashed to the ground
You got to give them credit. They knew they were blowing it bad in front of a billion people world wide but they kept on playing.
They can’t just stop mid performance, especially at a global show like this one
Lol as if they had much choice
Live Aid 1985:
- Queen fans: abSOLUTE perFECTION
- Led Zeppelin fans: we don't talk about that
We don't mention that Zep was even there. It was so bad because they didn't want to practice. I still love 'em tho. Everyone has a bad show, just not broadcast to over a billion people.
We need a rematch of Page vs Mic fight (2:13). It was a draw.
how the hell did Jimmy pass the drug test before that match?
Thank you, I came here just for that. Because this performance is awful...except JPJ who's rocking out like usual.
We should all just all just appreciate that this moment in time has been captured.
there are so many Led Zeppelin concerts I wished I could have gone to... this is not one of them
Nile Rodgers drummed , probably ended his career
Best train wreck ever.
Not sure why but this makes me respect Phil Collins more than I ever thought I could.
This would have been way better if they had invited yoko ono on stage
But then noone would have talked about Queen
hahaha
Simeon Cooper YES
Just when I thought we'd squeezed all the comedy gold possible from this 😂
Bursted our laughing at this comment.
This is Led Zeppelin that's all that matters to see them back again was an incredible feeling
Absolutely shocking, and then they had the nerve to blame Phil Collins.
They can actually blame Trump now for the bad performance.
Page blaming Collins is indeed bad, but in all fairness, Phil was also totally unprepared.
@@MeBallerman except perhaps for the solo which was just way beyond shocking. I’ve heard school high school bands do better.
Or were the so drunk that they dint know any of the right keys
It's like a constipated man trying to go but just can't.
Phil was on, but then again it is Phil Collins.
Two minutes in and Phil Collins was wishing Concorde had never been invented.
My God! I hope my kids never find this video - they will mock me forever being into Led Zeppelin in my youth!
Christine Morse Just have them listen to the MSG ‘73 concerts (The Song Remains the Same). Absolutely flawless performances at their very peak. That’ll stop the mocking real quick lol
These guys should of rocked the show! I was so depressed after seeing it but hey guess they had a bad performance. It happens.
@@lindamoore3729 . It seems to happen on just about every Zep live video I ever watch.. Page just always messes up live
Too late
No....you're incorrect. Although not Zepps finest hour, they will think how great our Mom is to like an explosive, raw, unrehearsed, seat of the pants set of rock music performed by excellent musicians. And if I'm wrong...let them continue enjoying what....they....like...which is.................................................hmm...
“Does anyone remember laughter?”
Not after this dear god
“It’s been a long time since I’ve rock and rolled.” - Yeah... no shit.
LMFAO
Compared to the bands of today this is perfect!!!!
If there's one thing I think Led Zeppelin could have used throughout their touring days, and here certainly, would have been a good 2nd guitarist.
tell me you know nothing about modern bands without telling me lol
@@timothyhammondswe dont care about KGLW here
Nah
When you're 17 years old and stoned it was awesome. I was there and now I'm 53. It sounded a lot better up close. I'd still rather say I was there than not 😀
1985 was the year I cleaned up my act. I never smoked or really drank before but was overweight, having headaches, eating shit. Changed that, became a healthfreak regarding food, went to the gym, ran my miles, did not take mayo, sugars, and so on, lost a lot of weight. I was 20 and very aware of reality. Unfortunately I lost it all.
Nah, it was still horrible. I remember being horrified.
Given up the drugs I hope
