That's exactly what I was thinking earlier. I saw two Blue Herrings fly by and thought, "Signs of spring", then I thought, "Maybe I should have called that video 'Springer for Spring'. Thanks for checking it out, I appreciate it.
This is my fun gun, I can hunt with it too. I can shoot it pretty well out to 60 yards, I need some more practice, but I have to wait on more pellets to get here. I'm sure it likes the Air Arms 8.4 gr with the 4.51 head size, at 60 yards I can get a group around the size of a quarter.
Bought one years ago Loved their Black Ops break barrel, most accurate budget break barrel I have, but was let down, on the 1200. I did a rebuild and tune to my 1200 documented on the Gateway to Airguns forum, so if anyone has had accuracy issues with theirs check it out.
I have no accuracy issues with mine at all. it did break, the plastic holding the rail broke. I Gorilla glued it back together and it's shot like a dream every since. Mine loves the Air Arms 4.51 head size pellets, it's decent with many, but it's a monster of a 14 ft lb springer with the right pellet. I have made several vids on the gun because it shoots so well, a lot of people have a hard time believing it, even when it's right in front of their face on video, lol, but for a $52 refurb (what I paid for mine from the Bear River website) I'm more than happy. I've had mine a few years now and thousands of pellets have been through it and it's actually gotten better with the clunky, spongy, sticky trigger it had on it (mine), it's a lot smoother these days. Good gun, I don't care where it was made, makes no difference to me personally.
It costs more for good pellets, it sucks but it's the truth. I figured the FTT would do pretty good, they make some good lead. The barrel is good, the right lead is what will make it go. Cheaper Wally World pellets are fine for close range, but for any distance, you need lead that flies well, and of course, that is more expensive. Love me some Air Arms pellets man, I shoot the heck out of them in .177 and .25, they are excellent long-range. I got tired of missing crap when I ordered my first can, almost died over the price, but it's so worth it, I like hitting what I shoot at, it's a lot more fun, lol.
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 I don't have an appoint 177 but I do have them in 22 caliber I will shoot them out of my Benjamin Titan on a review in a few weeks see how they do and I know that gun shoots pretty darn well as well but I'll definitely be ordering me some 177 air arms
@@FirstStateAirgun I was thinking you had them in .177, my bad. I must have been thinking about the ones I just ordered. It was a fun little plinking gun for closer range until I tried the Air Arms, now I'm thinking about trying to push for 70 yards, I haven't checked how much power they would have at that range, but great for plinking if they're accurate enough. Now I'm thinking about it, it's supposed to rain, man, I forgot my can is getting really low. Now I have to know, I need to check my order and see when my new pellets will be here. I've wasted so much money on cheap pellets, 25 yards is pushing the limits with them, but now I'm spoiled after finding out how well it shoots really good pellets. If I could get all the money back for the others I have I'd spend it on some more good ones, lol.
Thanks for checking it out man, it's a good barrel with the right ammo. I've shot it enough that I'd probably feel really stupid if I couldn't hit stuff at fifty yards, lol. Sixty yards has been my limit with it so far, I suck with it at seventy, not even sure if it will group at seventy, but I'm going to find out when my pellets come in, lol.
I got mine from Bear River, refurb. They break, I fixed mine with Gorilla glue. Mine shoots the Air Arms 4.51 head size pellets like a dream. It took a while to break the horrible trigger in, and mine kicks like a mule, but it's fun when you learn how to shoot it, mine is real accurate.
Great job maybe you can find a good pellet for the TPR which will work at 25 yds. First state is still trying to find a good one for his TPR as you know!
I've told him what mine likes, I think he had lick with the Griffin slugs in it. His gun may like the Air Arms 8.4 gr with 4.51 head size as well, with the right pellet this is a nice barrel.
Springer for spring time!!✌🏼

I'll alway have a soft spot for break barrels. Nice shots brother.

Im still looking for a longer range pellet best i could muster at 25 yards so far is 1.4 inches c to c. That was the field target trophy..
