I'm just a guy who digs airguns. I don't have a huge collection, only a few guns. This is a keep busy hobby for me as well, I am disabled with a few autoimmune disorders so I do what I can when I can. Keeping busy with hobbies keeps my mind off pain and keeps me going.
I started messing with airguns to keep animals from killing our animals and gardens, hadn't used one since I was a kid, I drug an air rifle around for quite some time as a kid. Went to check out new air guns, and OH WOW have they changed from when I was a kid!
I have issues with my hands and the more I dug into modern airguns the more I wanted to work on them. I didn't know if I could do much, my hands give me fits at times, my shoulders pop out all day long, my funny bone nerve is pinched all day in both arms, shit gets rough from head to toe but you can't stop living. Messing with my airguns is a hobby that helps keep me going, working on them, shooting them, I am into 'em ya'll.

Seneca 43 2 gr Pellet Penetration Test with Hatsan Flashpup
Testing out the 25 cal Seneca 43.2 pellets with the Hatsan Flashpup PCP hunting air rifle on medium to medium-high speed. Accuracy is not shown in this video, they do well, that will be in another on these pellets, but how about the power and penetration ability first.

Air Venturi Avenger Leak And Power Drop Repair Fail
มุมมอง 11K3 ปีที่แล้ว
My Air Venturi Avenger .25 cal had a leak, power had dropped, I returned it to be repaired. I get it back worse than it was before I sent it. When you order a hyped up product that's even been put out there by people who do not want anything to do with an entry level gun, and this happens I start to wonder about the whole industry. It's quite simple, if you order an air rifle and it doesn't wor...

The Bear River TPR 1200 is a nice shooting gun. I fully believe a spring air rifle is one of the best tools available to learn to shoot better due to the violent double recoil, and with mine a very spongy trigger. The key is also using the right pellet, the one it likes, they are all different, mine likes the Air Arms 8.4 gr with 4.51 head size for close and long range. If you would like to hel...

mine is broken after 15 times used well second time
what were the symptoms prompting you to fix it mine is not going past 1000 psi but I have only used it about 10 times
I was DUMB enough to buy Avengers in all 3 calibers . Only 1 of them was 'repaired' under warranty , and it started leaking the second it started taking air. 'Yes, I know to cock the gun while filling from empty' total waste of time and money. Since then , all 3 needed to be resealed EVERY YEAR. I them down to the smallest pieces I could , and scrapped them over time, so they can not be reassembled ever again. Air Venturi has earned my total disrespect , in every capacity. NEVER AGAIN!!! And Pyramid Air customer service , does not exist , neither does their stock. As in ,Never having ANYTHING in stock.
A couple things come to mind.. As you fill it the air becomes hot and will show high pressures, as it cools down the pressure will drop.. Over night leaking might be because the hammer is pressing on the output valve and ever so slightly opening the valve.. I know this to be true because a while back some people found that if they drained all the air out they could not put air in with a hand pump, they had to cock the hammer to release the pressure on the output valve so it would stay closed so that they could pump it up,,
Cocking the hammer , on the first fill , is common. I do it on every new PCP.
A small screw for wood or sheet metal can be threaded into the the washer, grips tight and can then be pulled out
Should be hitting 50 fpe
Where did you get the kit ?
🤪
Replace the picatinny rail with a metal one and then the scope issue is fixed... I own one of these.... easy fix.
My jet 1 leaking out the barrel wont fill
I lost so many brain cells trying to understand what you trying to say about the regulator if you have a leak you just need to check the valve, or the plenum.
Lead the barrel in lol
When I got mine first thing I did was degas the gun and reset the reg. After filling it I was pissed to find it leaking air. Well dumb dumb me , not wanting to over tighten the degassing screw didn't tighten it enough so I had a leak. Self imposed so I tweeked the degassing screw and Voila. "fixed"
Are you kidding me, you're goanna down talk a good shooting gun for your poor eye sight?
How the heck you make a Flashpup shoot that fast? Mine tops out around 813fps with 25.39gr
Thank you for putting this out there for us newbies I am wanting to get one but like the bulpit style I am wondeing 20:01 will the bulpit shoot like this
I was having the same problem with my Avenger, Take the stock off and replace the O-rings on the compressed air tubes. You have a long and a short air tube on the Avenger, use soap and water and air leaks will become obvious. I did this a year ago and they have not leaked sense.
When u fill the tank air heats up
Cant hete you mumble over that loud Rock Music.
Thanks for the useful review. But you REALLY need to put a supressor on your intro. A lot of people will click away before they ever get to your content.
That piece comes off .. it’s got 3 screws .. and they sell a replacement for it😳😉 … apparently! Just saw a video on TH-cam on that same gun from the actual manufacturer! Check!
I have the wood stock version. Had it for little over a month, worked great with no reg creep or any other problems. I took it out yesterday May 1st 2023 and shot about 8 rounds. The gun started out at 3600 PSI, after the 8 shots it was down to 2000 PSI, I said " That ain't right" I took the gun in for a fill and it took an incredibly long time to fill? I took it back out to shoot and noticed when I pulled the cocking lever back I could hear a leak coming from the chamber, again I said "that for sure ain't right!" When closing the breach the air would leak out the barrel. I knew what was wrong, The plunger seal on the hammer spring had failed ! Not knowing how to replace it I called Air Gun Depot "where I had purchased it" and they gave me 3 options, return for refund, return for replacement or send to A.R. for repair. I really loved that gun and struggled which option to use, as I didn't want one with reg creep, that is so common with these guns and mine was so damn accurate. I decided to go for the replacement as if it sucks, I can just get another till its a good one! I will let ya'll know how it turns out. If anyone has good step by step directions on how to fix this particular problem, I would love to hear it, as I know I could do it myself If I knew how. Thank folks.
Sorry to hear about your leak issues, I bought my Avenger in fall, bought a Nomad II to keep it pumped up and it leaks and I haven't even fired it yet, I had them shot 10 rounds to check it before they shipped it and they sent results looked fine and they stated no loss of pressure. Not going to send it to them for warranty they will just pull the same crap on me, sounds like it is poppet issues and the fact they we cannt get new poppets probably confirms that issue. Why in the hell don't they just fix the issue even if they had to install new delrin poppets, I will try to spend my money to fix this buy getting a aftermarket delrin poppet from this DarkCaharisma person, does anyone have the info for contacting this person to get this fixed. I could try to take gun apart and can probably do this, I did rebuild a player piano mechanism before but would rather send it to someone to replace poppet that knows specifically what they are doing. Again thanks for your video as this has brought some light on this leaking issue.
Bad lighting, 10x speed of disassembly, reassembly. And lighting gets darker. 👎
Thanks for watching and the comment. A link to the video as a tutorial for taking the gun apart and putting it back together is in the description. At this point in my life, I was basically making a video for my dad who was dying of cancer. I shot my first rabbit on my first hunt that I was allowed to take a gun, I used a Crossman 766 with my dad. This was his model he got to take care of starlings around his house and gave it to me as the last gift he was ever able to give me for Christmas. He was a bit upset that it wasn't running right, but even with bad RA and other bone and joint issues I told him I would get it fixed, and I did and he was able to see me do it before he passed. This was not intended to be an instructional video. It was more of a, "Thanks dad, I told you I could fix it." video. At this moment in my life my nerves were shot too much to put together a tutorial, Thanks again, have a good one.
Airguns and Vape are so cool!!! ;-)
I bought one to use not ship back and forth after about 4months it locked up I sent it back they had it for 2 months andi finally got it back I filled my pcp twice and it wouldn't pump over 2000lbs I sent it back haven't heard from them in a month this is a piece of junk I ask for my money back or at least new pump still nothing
I hate to hear that. I had problems with Air Venturi myself, sutomer service is horrid, my pump has been good for me, knock on wood, but guns and other stuff from them suck, their service sucks so I feel for ya man. Hope things worked out for you on this.
i love shooting i use air gun before. miss that. any way thanks for sharing videos. I'm here sending you my gifts. Thank you for sharing. Fully watched. Sending my full support
Thanks for the comment. I don't get on here much anymore, I do still shoot my guns and love them, just not doing vids these days. It could change but I'm not into spending every dime I get for the latest greatest thing, nobody wants to see older, good guns that I use so I stopped with the videos. I appreciate you checking it out and hope it helps you in one way or another.
i about to buy Bear River TPR 1300 means no good then what good
I have no idea what break barrel you should check out. Mine is a great gun, accuracy is great, but I had to Gorrilla glue the piece back on, it's worked great since then.
Same happened with mine . I tightened it a little tighter with a plier . Worked for 6 months till the Delron washer failed !
The seal is easy to change, I did a video on it. I was pissed, but after changing it, knock on wood, I haven't had an issue with it.
@@slowpokeairgunner4027could you show me the video , mine just blew
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 whats the video name?
Any idea how to fix the problem with air blowing through the air gauge? Mine won't build pressure, & I think it's due to the gauge leaking air.
This does NOT at all show someone how to assemble this item.
This is not a video about how to assemble this item, this is about me doing it for personal reasons, mainly being that it was the last Christmas gift my father gave me before he passed of cancer two years ago. If you will read the comment under the video you will see that someone else has a video on how to take apart, and reassemble the original Crossman 766, which is this exact model, only made black and stamped with Remington on it. Check out that video.
I am interested in recovering shot pellets for reuse. Shoot indoors, @ 25.' Have used my archery backstops of late, but thinking of a metal pellet trap. Suggestions ?
Sorry, I haven't been around much. I won't use my archery targets because it messes up the bolts when they hit the lead stuck in the target. A trap like this one is pretty good for catching the lead, some bounce out. There are metal targets made that will catch it all for you, try one of those, that is what you're looking for. Thanks for the comment, sorry about the late response.
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 NP
What did it do when it failed? Mine has just locked up and blew the fuse.
To fast.
Nice paint job, turned out good!
Good explanation on angle. This explains why I was getting 3715 fps from a 25ACP Barretta (from a very light projectile
I'm surprised to hear that LED lights work for chronographs. They do oscillate at a given frequency -- and I thought this would certainly affect accuracy. Ever shine an LED flashlight at a fan and have it appear to run very slow or stand still?
There's about a 5 ft per second difference (slower) between under LED's and outdoors. I can't remember what I did in this video, but I tested it a few times with different guns. I tried a Lil' Duke BB gun, and some pellet guns, they all ran right at 5 ft per second. I had read it but had to test it myself. Other lighting, because of the movement (flashing) knocks the sensors off, you want it to stand still if possible, thus the reason LED lights are best indoors. I did some reading, video watching, and personally testing things myself before doing this video, it's accurate from what I came up with.
My nomad 2 is leaking air too I sent mines to air venture to said it's gonna be a while to fix This supposed to be American made product I'm disappointed in it It only worked for me for a year and 3 months It's been in the shop since may of this year and hasn't heard anything from them yet
I made this video a couple of years ago and since I replaced the seal (see video on easy fix for this leak) it hasn't leaked since. The seals come with it, this one needed a Delrin seal replaced in the release valve. I got mine from Pyramyd Air and they told me on the phone to replace the seals and see if it worked. I hate it that you had to return yours and it's taking so long. It's normally just an easy fix from what I've saw, and this is the seal that leaks. Mine came with several in a bag because they do go bad.
Oh, and after my problem with the Avenger, I really don't mess with Air Venturi much anymore. I like the Nomad 2, but after the trick they pulled on me with the Avenger I do my best not to buy anything of theirs, I'll never buy another gun from them unless they decide to make good ones that have good seals and poppit. It's the third gun they put out with leaks and they had me send mine back and returned it worse than what It was when I sent it to them, and of course, they had no desire to fix the issue. It's happened to quite a few from what I've seen in the forums. I got burnt out on it and heard about how it was all my fault for not buying a $2000 gun to many times. They have the community programmed to yell, "That's what you get for buying a budget gun", and of course, it's pushed by those they pay well as sponsors and then the herd takes over and it becomes a game of giving more to the already well off to advertise for them. I'm pretty much over the ego issues in the industry and elitism. Sell their products for them for free with TH-cam videos and other social media and they'll spit in your face and expect you to keep coming back. Nope, I'm not that guy.
You may want to getchyoseylf a Terminador A-Tac stock for your Avenger 🤔
I don't shoot the Avenger anymore. After the issue with the warranty and all the BS with it, I'm not really interested in the gun at all. I may have ran a mag or two through it since it came back, some day I'll fix it, but I'm still not ready to mess with it yet, I have two other budget guns that are just as accurate out to 136 yards for me and I've had no issue with for years, knock on wood, but yeah, when I want to shoot I grab something reliable, if I have to shoot I grab something reliable. I appreciate your comment, have a good one.
I want to order a replacement parts for the for the 77 Remington model 77
Sorry about not responding, I haven't been keeping up with the channel a lot lately. I got mine on ebay, seller should be in the subscription. You need the parts for the Crossman 766, it's the same model done in black with Remington on it. This one is the older pre 2011 model which is metal with the plastic stock, the newer models are all plastic, you'd have to check with the seller on that. But yeah, it's the same gun, look up the parts for the Crossman 77, and there is a video of a guy taking one apart and putting it back together. At the time I did this I had a wait of a week after I got it all apart because a gasket was missing in the kit so I had to wait for that to come in. I had so much footage I chopped a ton of video and ran through it real fast since there is already someone doing it here on YT with a Crossman 766.
You get what you pay for. People get sucked into it due to its low price. After you seeing couple of great reviews, you decide to buy it.You don’t know how other people’s air ventury lasts as not everyone will post a video.
I knew what I was getting into, they have a track record of putting out guns that leak, same issue as the first two. I got this one as a gift, and as for the get what ya paid for, I've got a gun I've had for several years now that still shoots like a dream, actually two, but one hasn't had thousands upon thousands of pellets through it, thing is, they still work great, no leaks, powerful, my go-to when I know I need a gun that will do what I need it to do. So, I'm pretty much so sick I could puke of the "You get what you pay for" excuse for this rifle, I only have four pcp's, all are budget guns, this one is the only one that has issues. I knew all about the gun before I ever got it, I was waiting to see if they would fix the issue or screw everyone over like they did on the last two models they put out, and once again, surprise, surprise, surprise. I watched the video of it being torn down and the crappy poppit in it as the same models. There's no excuse for the horrible repair service as well, they fu***d it up and wanted me to pay, again, to mail it back to once again gamble and see if they would actually fix it or pull the same BS. It is absolutely impossible for the gun to have been fixed and not leak enough overnight for them not to see it clearly. Low price or not, it came with a useless warranty as well. SO you saying you have to pay high dollar to get an actual usable warranty as well? Come one man, you're making excuses for them, that's why they do it, the same exact line has run through this industry for years, the same exact line that comes out of everyone who buys they excuse and will resale it for them. Stop making excuses for companies to put out garbage and they'll stop doing it, they're making millions upon millions screwing customers over and you're selling the lie they want everyone to be sold. Sorry buddy, if ya ain't got a couple grad to toss in on a good airgun and system then I guess your trash and deserve to be screwed over while we make the community tell you it's your fault for not spending thousands. How much ya think it would have cost for a good poppit and seals for this gun? a couple dollars at most, they could have tacked an extra $50 on the price and it would have been worth it. I've also heard nonstop about how it was made in China. No, it was approved by a company in Solon, Oh, which was in the USA the last time I checked, and considering I'm from the state and worked literally right down the road from the place years ago, yeah, it's in America, and they had to sign off and approve it to be made the way it is, materials and all, test it, etc, etc. So blaming China isn't gonna work either, not that you said anything about it, but those two excuses given to the company to use as their excuse to screw over their customers, again, is why they do it. Thanks for your two cents on the subject though.
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 I was gonna get this air ventury, that’s why I have been watching videos.Didn’t mean to offend you in any way.So far I’m more than happy with my gamo swarm magnum gen2 22 cal. However,it would be nice to have a rifle that feels more like a traditional rifle. For my once in a while shooting, forking over $1,500 or more doesn’t make sense. The ventury has nice features for sure, being able to depressurize the gun is nice.Don’t want to have pcp if I’m only going to shoot 3 rounds lol, then have it sitting for weeks under pressure. That’s why I love the gamo magnum, cock it when needed, that’s it lol.I don’t know if it’s possible to release air out of the gamo urban 22 which a was thinking about getting.
Nice 👌
Thanks, I appreciate ya dropping a comment.
Every few fills out one drop of SILICONE oil in the fill fitting, then attach hose and fill as usual. Before shooting each time, point barrel to the sky so oil will run down to exit tank and enter air system. This will keep interior seals and parts lubed up. And will help expose and/or prevent leaks in the pressure system.
I tried that back when I had the leak, didn't work, but thanks for the info. I do the same thing to my other guns occasionally, they have a fill port so I try to get a little in the fill probe hole to keep the inner seals lubed. I have one I need to change the seals in, it doesn't leak and shoots fine, it has the original seals from four years ago and it's doing fine, but I know it's recommended to replace them about every couple of years.
My gladius long .25 slugs won't sit right in the magazine shoots terrible
It's hard to find slugs that shoot well out of mine with the choked barrels.
Hahaha get that Mf..good video brother

I appreciate ya checking it out.
👌😁
Great video, I'm a big fan of these pellets.
Thanks for checking it out. Yeah, they are like having slugs for choked barrels, lol. I can turn it up and get a lot more power out of it, but I don't want the wear and tear on the valve and hammer.
looks like they pack a punch !
Yeah man, great for downrange power and I can open it up to get a lot more power for bigger stuff like deer and coyotes. I know a lot of people probably want to see the power this gun will push with them, I guess I need to give that a shot, but I won't keep it there because I'll be replacing the valve and hammer soon if I run it wide open like that. These are about other weight of the slug I got 80 fpe out of with it opened up, I'm sure it can do 75 to 80 if I want it to.
