I returned TWO Avenger 25 Cal. Both leaked miserably, and neither rifle had more than two tins of lead shot through. One rifle from Pyramid Air, the second from Airguns of Arizona. BTW, both companies had horrible customer service in trying to get gun fixed under warranty- so it was easier for me just to get a refund, and buy another. I will not buy another one since both rifles leaked almost exact same amount , in same 24-hour period (~300-500 PSI). Maybe my expectations were set too high--I have a Marauder that has not leaked 10 PSI in six -months. Thank you for posting this video. More people have to be having this same issue. Lots of hype but guaranteed there is a known design flaw. Too bad, because I really liked the sidelever action, and that was the main reason I purchased. Thanks again for calling "Bull Shit" on this product.
Yeah, I'm done with trying nay more of their guns until a good year or so has passed and I know more about it, even at that I know their warranty is garbage, I wasn't stunned since I'd read the same kinds of stuff happen to other people in the forums and talking to people who make YT vids. I get it when someone gets a brad gun, it happens, but this is rediculous and totally disrespectful to their customers, it's all about the dollars and your shit out of luck. I'll get it turned into a good gun, but man they could make so much more just making it right or fixing the mistakes the first time. Like you, I have three other pcp's that never lose air, one has sat for almost two years and no issues with leaks, and if it would have when I got it they would have definitely fixed it if I sent it back to them. This is a striaght up "F*** You! Sorry about your luck now fix it yourself" deal.
That is important about the problems with the warranty repair...PLUS THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE BY 2 VENDORS ( I was about to order one from PA...until I saw this video)
@@billr4283 Yeah, I think it's pretty lousy, burnt me out to the point I haven't made a video since, I'm tired of the lies from the companies, blatant smack in the face, and everyone who comes up with excuses to give them the green light to keep doing it, this is their third gun in a row with leak problems and they didn't even try to fix it, I have no interest in ever buying one of their guns again. I've got guns I've had over four years running like a dream, never had any issues other than one with a mag when the Flahpups first came out and they fixed it immediately, had new mags in the process of being made the moment people started complaining. Apparently, AV just gives you a big "FU" and then all the people in the community start telling you it's your fault because you bought a $300 gun. That's not how it is supposed to work, but the community has been told what to say and how to react when it happens and they do it and let them get away with it.
In the same boat. My .22 started dropping the same amount....at one year and 3 days. They did not have Orings on hand to even order. Capt Oring now has kits. I have 2 kits. If I can't fix it myself, then I will probably toss it. I haven't come close to shooting a full tin out of mine. Accurate, fun...durable...Nope.
I have the wood stock version. Had it for little over a month, worked great with no reg creep or any other problems. I took it out yesterday May 1st 2023 and shot about 8 rounds. The gun started out at 3600 PSI, after the 8 shots it was down to 2000 PSI, I said " That ain't right" I took the gun in for a fill and it took an incredibly long time to fill? I took it back out to shoot and noticed when I pulled the cocking lever back I could hear a leak coming from the chamber, again I said "that for sure ain't right!" When closing the breach the air would leak out the barrel. I knew what was wrong, The plunger seal on the hammer spring had failed ! Not knowing how to replace it I called Air Gun Depot "where I had purchased it" and they gave me 3 options, return for refund, return for replacement or send to A.R. for repair. I really loved that gun and struggled which option to use, as I didn't want one with reg creep, that is so common with these guns and mine was so damn accurate. I decided to go for the replacement as if it sucks, I can just get another till its a good one! I will let ya'll know how it turns out. If anyone has good step by step directions on how to fix this particular problem, I would love to hear it, as I know I could do it myself If I knew how. Thank folks.
I had the same problem, they sent it back to me and it was still leaking. Well after checking it over myself it turned out the leak was from the pressure release screw. the hard plastic 0-ring was over compressed or uneven so I went to home depot and got another hard plastic 0-ring and hasn't leaked since. Wasted 40 dollars to send it to Air Venturi and ended up having to fix it myself. The leak will not show up with soap and water for some reason. i pulled it out and inspected it when I did that I noticed it would not sit flat. Did the repair 5 months ago and it's been perfect. What's weird is when it had a leak the reg would creep up, but now that I fixed the leak the reg holds. Wish I would have inspected it myself before shipping it to te those ding-bats. They also never replaced the O-rings on the tanks because I marked the threads and they didn't even take it apart. Air Venturi was never like those before the Pandemic. Their service center was top-notch. It must be hard for them to find good help since Sleepy Joe Biden keeps giving people our tax money for sitting at home and pick their noses. About the Regulator, it's a very cheap regulator and it needs time to settle or you need to fire it 1 or 2 times for it to settle after filing. The regulator will never be perfect on this gun. But it's good enough to get sub moa groups at 50 yards once tuned. Once you get your main leak fixed you will be happy with the Avenger. Good luck man keep us posted.
Wow you fixed it yourself after spending 40 dollars sending it to AV and got jerked off. Why would you praise AV service center before the pandemic and like some weirdo blame the decline of it on Joe Biden unemployment checks to the unemployed? Your like some kind of Trump fanboy with a fetish for self flagellation.
What the f*** are you talking about?? I'm definitely no poor wittle twumpy fan, by a looooong shot. I don't know who you were tlaking about praising their service before the pandemic, etc. but if you're talking to me, ummm, I'm not priasing shit unless it deserves it, and after this, and looking at their past customer service with the shit guns they put out, they're getting no praise from me, but a lot of sales losses due to my video on their shitty service. I don't think you know what you were talking about, maybe you were drunk. All I know is that you are trolling and being all political like a poor wittle twumpy fan, so you might wanna stop that shit, you're looking like one of them.
I'm not lazy, I had a warranty, and I also have real hosed up hands, actually every joint in my body, I've got a few issues so I'm disabled there slick. Take a walk in my shoes for a day and tell me about lazy, deal with chronic nerve pain head to toe and a bunch of other bullshit and tell me it's because I'm lazy. Fu*k off dumbass.
Sorry to hear about your Avenger, I've had mine since Janurary this year , so far no leaks, I'm at work right now, but when I get home I'm checking it!!!
Thanks for checking it out. I know there are many with leak issues, but plenty of people have them running fine. I knew all about the gun before I ever got it, I was watching it and wanted one but wanted to see if they would fix issues. Well, I got it for Christmas so I was all in, lol. I thought they would actually try to fix it, I'm quite stunned that it came back the way it did to be honest. I'll fix it if I can, I know it needs a new poppet so I have to get an aftermarket one for that, I amthinking about just having it worked on and fixed by a guy that's said to turn theminto some really nice guns with a lot of power as well. If you running it at lower power you'll help prevent too much damage to the poppet it has in it and it will last longer. I had my reg on 2700 psi, it came that way and shot great so I left it. That is apparently too much for the poppet to handle, I'm still guessing it's the poppet. I told them all of this when i sent it back, still stunned at how this came back.
It's been a couple of months, I haven't been keeping up on the channel. Nop I have put the gun down and left it alone, I'll fix it one of these days. I did put air in it a couple of weeks ago and it was empty by the next morning. I'm still shooting my Flashpups, my wood model is four years old and I've never changed anything other than the barrel oring that tears off when you remove the shroud, easy fix and doesn't have to have it. One of thes days I really will fix it, but not today, and probably not tomorrow.
Question, It's been a while since you have made the video about the Avenger. Have you any news as far on what the the outcome is? I know what this video shows ; having the company possibly pencil whip the repair and send it back to you in worse condition than you first got the air rifle. This would be valuable information for those who own Air Venturi Avengers. Please keep us posted.
Thanks for the comment Anthony. I have been busy and have not worked on the gun myself yet, as far as a response from AV on the issue, nothing, they could apparently care less. I will update it when I go over it and try to fix the leak, hopefully, it's not the poppet, but there is a leak and it is definitely worse than when I sent it to them.
I was having the same problem with my Avenger, Take the stock off and replace the O-rings on the compressed air tubes. You have a long and a short air tube on the Avenger, use soap and water and air leaks will become obvious. I did this a year ago and they have not leaked sense.
Every few fills out one drop of SILICONE oil in the fill fitting, then attach hose and fill as usual. Before shooting each time, point barrel to the sky so oil will run down to exit tank and enter air system. This will keep interior seals and parts lubed up. And will help expose and/or prevent leaks in the pressure system.
I tried that back when I had the leak, didn't work, but thanks for the info. I do the same thing to my other guns occasionally, they have a fill port so I try to get a little in the fill probe hole to keep the inner seals lubed. I have one I need to change the seals in, it doesn't leak and shoots fine, it has the original seals from four years ago and it's doing fine, but I know it's recommended to replace them about every couple of years.
Hello once again and Happy New Year. I was just going through my youtube favorites and wanted to ask if you have had any changes with the Avenger? Thus far my Avenger is still holding up and doing well, Although I'm not shooting it as much now due to my Airforce condor in .25 cal. hope to hear from you soon.
Mine is still sitting, I filled it up a couple of weeks ago and it was empty by the next day, still haven't taken it apart, I think I just got disgusted with it and just shoot my other guns. Some day I'll tear it apart and fix it, but not today , lol.
Do what everyone is saying here, soapy water on everything that could leak, balloon on the barrel to see if it's the valve, air release. There's a guy in the forums that works on them that goes by Dark Charisma, he makes the poppets with the Delrin seals, and a lot more if you want. If it's the poppet leaking they don't have replacements, or it get the same thing put back in it.
If it were me I would next purge all the air out then close the reg off completely. Fill the gun up and see if it still leaks. At least you will know if it is the reg leaking or not.
I would check all the basics. Check and snug up the drain valve then snug up all the gauges. Unless you already did the soap test and got nothing at those locations. That’s where I would start. I have the 25 and have put thousands of rounds through it so far. I just upgraded to a walnut stock. I made a video of the improvements if you’re interested I would love to know what you think.
Thanks for the comment Sam. I understand what your saying, I have not checked the drain plug since it's been back. I love the gun, well, I wanna love the gun. As for me doing the soapy water test, shouldn't that have been done by the repairman looking for the leak to fix? Seriously, I shouldn't have to do anything to it, I can't see it being possible to let it sit overnight and not see that it had leaked. I shouldn't have to fix it, I paid to ship it back to them to fix it and it came back worse, cost me $31 to make it leak worse, I definitely didn't want it turned up as well. I too was looking at the new wood stock model, but if the warranty is useless for repairs I don't want it. I may have just got a bad one, no problem, it happens, but this is nonsense. I'll have it sent to someone who will replace the poppet, may just put money into jackign it up with opening the ports and getitng it tuned for high power with a good valve in it, but as far as buying another one from them, nah, they've done this several years in a row, put out guns that leak and the only way to get them repaired is after market parts and someone else, or repairing it yourself. Thanks for takign the time to leave a comment, I appreciate it.
Thanks for the comment, sorry it's taken so long to answer, I've kinda been out of it for a while. it's not all pcp's it just happens to be this gun, I have a few other Budget guns and they've worked like a dream for four years and under, had one little issue with one and they had it fixed within a couple of weeks. This gun and company, however, obviously does not care at all about the customers, it's all about how much money they can screw you out of if you get stuck with a bad product you're on your own. Maybe if I filed a lawsuit it would get their attention.
♥️from India. Need help sir... Since last 2 weeks my Venturi lost accuracy. After 10 or 12 pellets it hit on different sides of the target like sometime it hit on left then right, smtime up smtime down. But there's no leakage..its work very nicely before. Even I used to clean the barrel regularly. Hope u will reply me as u see my comment.
Are you using the magazine? I know the magazine will make it do that, but I also hear other people with the same issue, I've read that the barrel is moving, I'm not sure if that is an issue with the old barrel bands that were screwed into the air tank instead of between the air tank and shroud.. To get the best info you should join two forums if you can, Gateway To Airguns, and Airgun Nation, you can get help there on fixing it.
@@kagworld9010 It has somethign to do with the barrel then, I've read about it but don't remember enough to give any good info on it. Check Airgun Nation, or Gateway To Airgun forums, I'm sure you can find answers there.
@@kagworld9010 DonnyFL make adaptors for Avenger. www.airgunseurope.com/donnyfl-avenger.html?id=237305239. I think this can fix your problem. Look for videos on YT what exactly does this adaptor.
Damn brother that is just plain old flat-out terrible I know you don't want to say bad things about it cuz it is a great gun or had the potential to be anyhow but thank you for giving us an honest heads up and I was so close to buying one of those so far I've been lucky with all my tcp's thank goodness
I wouldn't recommend buying one until the address the issue. This one was supposedly fixed, I asked specifically about the poppet, they don't carry the parts. They are said to have fixed the new wood models, new poppets, but I just talked to someone and had a comment on my post about it in a forum that told me they are having the same issue with their new wood .22 model. There's a guy that makes poppets and works on them, the last two models they came out with had the exact same issue, they never fixed and keep on pumping them out. All they had to do is be honest or fix the damn thing. It just keeps getting lower and lower every day, but faster, damn what good service.
Sorry about the issues. Leaks suck, I know. Only Air Venturi product I have is a carbon fiber tank set up, which is actually made for them by Ninja, they just slap their name on it. No problems with it, but like I said, they don’t make it.
Yeah, the issues with this model are known, they've had several runs for several years with guns that leak. If you look into in the forums it's pretty sad. I wasn't concerned, I thought they would actually fix it, this is uncalled for, you have worked on quite a few guns, you'd see the drop in the 12 hours and would have known. It may not be the repairman, I'm sure they have a list of things they have to go by and what they can and can't do. In this situation, it's either company policies that have the repair workers' hands tied, or it's a lazy worker not doing their job. If I'd sent it to you I'd have confidence that it would come back in working order, but the whole deal here was to see how they honored their warranty, if they really would fix the problems they knew the gun had when it was put out on the market, not only did they not fix it, they made it worse. I guess that means, "Thank you for your money and fuck you very much."
Sorry to hear about your leak issues, I bought my Avenger in fall, bought a Nomad II to keep it pumped up and it leaks and I haven't even fired it yet, I had them shot 10 rounds to check it before they shipped it and they sent results looked fine and they stated no loss of pressure. Not going to send it to them for warranty they will just pull the same crap on me, sounds like it is poppet issues and the fact they we cannt get new poppets probably confirms that issue. Why in the hell don't they just fix the issue even if they had to install new delrin poppets, I will try to spend my money to fix this buy getting a aftermarket delrin poppet from this DarkCaharisma person, does anyone have the info for contacting this person to get this fixed. I could try to take gun apart and can probably do this, I did rebuild a player piano mechanism before but would rather send it to someone to replace poppet that knows specifically what they are doing. Again thanks for your video as this has brought some light on this leaking issue.
Thanks for checking it out. The problem is that nobody wants too, they're scared of being attacked by all the snobs who'll sell excuses for the company, including some that are sponsored by them. The old excuse of, "It's a $300 gun" doesn't cut it for me, if that's all they got then I don't want any more of their guns and people need to speak up about it and make them do what is right instead of continuing to put out leaky guns and having the snobs in the community try to make the owners feel as if they are wrong for not spending a couple grand on an airgun, especially first time pcp owners, ohhhh, it's a sin to not have bought a new FX, you should be beaten and treated like dirt for buying a budget gun. Stupid shit, nothing new.
I had the same problem soapy water in a spray bottle to bring it down found the leak it was where the air tube screws in had a bad o-ring replace the o-ring haven't had no problem sense
I get ya, but you'd think they would have looked for the leak at the shop. It's not something i couldn't do myself but the point of sending it back was that it was under waranty and they told me to mail it back and they would fix it. They did a great job, fixed her right up, another trip to the shop and she'll be hissing like a rattle snake with a clear warning that all the air is going away fast. Shoot it now before the air leaks out, lol. It's unbelievable, well, sort of.
Mine is leaking right at the end of the airtube on that big black nut. Going to try and figure out how to take it apart tonight and replace that o ring. Looks like I'll need to take the whole airtube off to do that
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 Thanks! Thats what I have been using as a reference. The o-ring seemed perfect. Hoping it just got pinched. Going to try refilling asap and then if not it will be a bigger teardown and rebuild
I was DUMB enough to buy Avengers in all 3 calibers . Only 1 of them was 'repaired' under warranty , and it started leaking the second it started taking air. 'Yes, I know to cock the gun while filling from empty' total waste of time and money. Since then , all 3 needed to be resealed EVERY YEAR. I them down to the smallest pieces I could , and scrapped them over time, so they can not be reassembled ever again. Air Venturi has earned my total disrespect , in every capacity. NEVER AGAIN!!! And Pyramid Air customer service , does not exist , neither does their stock. As in ,Never having ANYTHING in stock.
I feel you man I spent $300 on a hatsan flash 25 and the gun shoots lights out. But after 2 months it leaked all air out I sent it to hatsan “they fixed it” from what I can tell just filling gun by tank as I have hand pump 4 months later gun back at zero covid hit about same time. Contacted hatsan they asked me if I felt comfortable working on it myself. Gun been a paper weight since finally got the balls enough to take it apart other day found problem with the white derlin valve seat checked gun box and no rebuild kit in it. Checked hatsan website and low and behold not in stock.I wrote them a not so nice email it’s utter bullshit. I feel your pain spend a lot of money and you pretty much have a 50-50 chance to get a lemon and if you don’t work on these things you are up shit creek without paddle.
I've got a few Hatsan guns and I've been lucky, all three have never leaked and shoot like a dream, two are 4 years old, one is two. I have to get rebuild kits from Pyramyd Air, I've been lucky to never have to fix a thing on any of them other than an o'ring on the barrel that holds it against the shroud, and I tore that up. I did have an issue when the Flashpup first came out, I preordered, the mags were horrible, wouldn't cycle. I called, they said they knew there was a problem and had a new set in the mailbox in two weeks, been using them ever since. So, I've been lucky with Hatsan, This is the third rifle AV has put out with the same leak issue, they haven't even tried to fix it, so I don't want another one and mine, like your Hatsan guns, is now a paper weight.
A couple things come to mind.. As you fill it the air becomes hot and will show high pressures, as it cools down the pressure will drop.. Over night leaking might be because the hammer is pressing on the output valve and ever so slightly opening the valve.. I know this to be true because a while back some people found that if they drained all the air out they could not put air in with a hand pump, they had to cock the hammer to release the pressure on the output valve so it would stay closed so that they could pump it up,,
Yeah, I'm still hanging out, life is changing again. I broke some ribs and damaged my spleen that put me out for a good six weeks. Got my mind in other places, but plans on getting some badass air guns are in the future. CONGRATS on the 1K subs. I'm still subbed and keeping you moving. I've been taking courses and working on other things, mainly my investing, I got back into that while I was doing a lot of sitting around waiting for my ribs to heal where they wouldn't damage my spleen anymore. So far so good, in the last two weeks alone I flipped my money to four times the amount, shooting for the moon, five years from now is looking amazing.
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 glad to hear you're doing I guess pretty well other than your all busted up but your money situation sounds pretty darn good congrats on being a big-time Wall Street investor I was just a little worried about your brother making sure you are all right glad you're still kicking and everybody seems to be doing okay keep in touch have a great day and happy shooting
Im sorry man, our air venturi avenger that we just got has a very small leak plus never quite got the fps and shot count that others are getting. We are really considering sending it back for a refund and just pre-order the Umarex guantlet 2
I can't say I'm a fan of the Gauntlet, lol, this one has a poppet issue, I didn't look for a leak because I wanted them to honor their warranty and find the leak, fix the thing, if it lasts past them warranty then I'll fix it, but not cool. If you want a good gun you can have this one worked on, it's a great platform, the poppet needs replaced, some have other issues with leaks in other places, but it's normally an easy fix with an o'ring, the whole point of this video is the unbelievable so called repair, that's rediculous. The first Gauntlets had issues, I wouldn't hold my breath thinking the Gauntlet 2 isn't going to have issues. I say that because that's another one that had previous models with issues they never fixed on the last model, to make it run well you need after market parts. I can say that my good ole' Hatsan Flashpups are still running fine one after three years, the other about a year and a half. The Gauntlet is more of a bench gun for me as well, medical issues make the need for a light and well balanced gun a big thing for me. I'd rather fix this one to run the way I want than a gauntlet, but that's my opinion, I think it's a better gun.
@@MrBlah3573 I hope not. the guy that makes the Delrin poppets goes by the name of DarkCaharisma in GTA and AGN. You'd think they would have given me some info on that.
Not that you should have to. But like other suggested find out where the leak is yourself. So that when you send it back in you can tell them exactly where the leak is. Instead of them just guessing by replacing some o-rings.. I do want to say sometimes the puppets aren't fully seated when they're brand new. I heard of people shooting a couple hundred rounds and that took care of the problem. But again it should work straight out of the box without any issues.
If I look for the leak I'll just fix it myself, the whole point was them honoring the warranty and fixing the gun. I've had this gun for a while, done all the tricks that's supposed to help seat the poppet, put some silicone oil on the fill tip to lube the seals inside, nothing worked so I sent it back asking the poppet be checked, the whole gun to find and fix the leak, a new poppet or valve that's being put in the new wood models would be fine if it's the poppet since they've been selling a gun they knew was faulty. I'll send it to someone to put a good poppet in it, do some valve work, maybe drill the ports and set it up more powerful. This whole thing was an experiment, I knew they had leak issues, mine ended up leaking and I wanted to know if they would honor their warranty. I had to pay to have it sent back, I won't do it again, I'll pay to send it to someone and pay them to do some work on it for me, but I won't be buying another one from them. This is the third model that has had leak issues, why would they not just fix it and be done with it, did they go into a contract for ten trillion of them and won't back out?? It's crazy, shit happens and this is one of those times that it has. I wanted to get the video out of my system and roll on, they don't carry the parts to fix it, so not wasting any more time on them.
Hello, do you have any update on the leakage yet? Mine has the exact same issue, there is no one in my country who is an authorized dealer or doing repairs. Please help Slowpoke airgunner
You can order seal kits now from what I understand, that's about all I know. I haven't shot the gun since I've gotten it back, I just let it sit and leak, I'm disgusted with it, if I were gonna fix it myself I would have never wasted money sending it back to them. I'll eventually send mine out to have someone fix it and amp it up, all the work to tear it down and replace seals and still having a crap poppet in it is useless because it will fail, a guy in the forums makes Delrin poppets for them and does some excellent work on getting more power out of them, he has the tools to work with so it's probably where it's going.
Nah man, I haven't messed with it, been feeling crappy on the health side and not even gonna mess with it since I'm frustrated enough with it as it is. If I work on it and have a lot of pain in my hands and arms it's gonna make it a lot worse and I may end up throwing it in the river, lol. I'll get it done, just not today, don't know what tomorrow will bring.
This gun must be a joke... keeps change POI all the time.. bought a donny fl adapter and it didn't help. Spoke withe store i bought it and they said it's normal that it change about 1 moa after each time i pump it up yeay zero the scope all time sucks. Hope you fix your soon
I haven't had any POI issues that I know of, scope issues, using the Mantis scope that came with the package deal, not real sure about it yet. The gun will shoot, but the leak issues, mailny the weak poppet that's in it is a let down. I was using mine for long range, maybe I got lucky on that part if it is common.
I'll be checking the whole gun over shortly to find the leak, I could have done it myself in the first place but I wanted to see what their service and warranty was all about. Now I know for sure.
When I got mine first thing I did was degas the gun and reset the reg. After filling it I was pissed to find it leaking air. Well dumb dumb me , not wanting to over tighten the degassing screw didn't tighten it enough so I had a leak. Self imposed so I tweeked the degassing screw and Voila. "fixed"
Hola, gracias por pasar. Use agua con jabón alrededor de todas las áreas que puedan tener fugas para encontrarlo. Ojalá pudiera contarte más, pero no sé nada sobre esa arma en particular.
Need to do a soap test and you can put a balloon or condom over the barrel to see if it's leaking out the transfer Port it'll fill it that up if it is eventually
Thanks for the comment, it has been filled and checked daily since it returned. The point for lowering pressure to ship makes sense, but they know better than to lower it below reg pressure since it can mess the regulator up. That being said, it is known that these are filled before shipping to check because of the leak issues, if it shows up low like this below the reg, it's a problem, I've read about and talked to people about it since I got the gun. They are said to be filled to about 3000psi when shipped because of the problems. It's noticeably leaked within 12 hours (as shown in the video), then 24 hrs, then 48 hrs...
@@gumbystown ...and you changed your comment, lol. It's cool. Yeah, I have not done the soap test, but after only 12 hours there was a drop, they would have saw that, it's frustrating.
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 I deleted a comment Midway through the video as you were ranting back-and-forth and watch to the end and reposted a new comment which is the present one we are chatting off of. I hope you figure out what's wrong with it. I've always wanted an Avenger but have always held back because of the stock and it always seem to be a tinker's Delight but I don't really like adjusting things I just want it to work properly right out of the box. Are all regulated guns problematic to having low tank pressure and messing up the regulator or is it just air Venturi
@@gumbystown personally I don’t even think that is a correct statement about low tank pressure. I mean if that were true every time you bled the air out of the gun to lower reg pressure (which you have to do) you would damage the reg by the low pressure you cause in the gun during the bleed off of air. It literally makes no sense.
It was filled and left over night, when it's filled it leaks more than it did when I sent it, actually, it loses more in half the time it would lose in a day. When they came out they were shipping them with air because of the leak issue. You can't ship one full because of the pressure at different altitudes, I live in the mountains so it's different than where I used to live. I normally leave mine filled about half way when I travel to prevent issues, especially up and down the mountains.
Yup, it was a blatant, "Sorry about your luck, and sorry you wasted $31 to mail it to us to make it worse, too bad for you buddy." I checked it in 12 horurs, noticably losing air at that point, then try to tell me it sat over night and was fine. I guess they went to sleep at % a.m. and got up and checked it at 6:00. It's freaking crazy.
A poor report on a platform as large as TH-cam can be damaging to sales in a manner which cannot be quantified. That is dangerous to future sales. It’s a tight nit community. Word of mouth reputation takes years to build and moments to destroy.
My venturi avenger is now leaking too.. it was a great gun , accurate, and fun. I also sent in to warranty but they sent back worse.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND VENTURI AVENGER ,if you want a gun that is not a paper weight. Many many Time & pellets, wasted just to start over on a new dope book for a new gun.
I tried to play nice, they knew it was already on YT with the leaks, they knew I was gonna make a video of it when it came back, yet this is how it came back. They have had a few years to fix the leak issues in their guns, two previous models had the same problems, instead they went ahead and kept making faulty guns for profit instead of fixing the issue in the manufacturing. When you have bad seals and know it from two previous models you'd think they would address it and fix it, that's how a company gets bigger and better. Instead they chose to ignore the customers and go for quick profit, try to make everyone forget what happened with their previous models and continue. On top of it, having customers send it back to be repaired under warranty and not fixing it, not even really checking the gun, they're destroying their own sales. You read about it in the forums with this, and previous models but it's not always gonna mke it on YT because you usually get attacked for telling the truth. I mean come on, all they had to do was fins the leak and replace a seal more than likely, instead they don't check it, say they fixed it, make it worse than when I sent it. This thing can be looked at in 12 hours and there's a noticable leak. The guy who worked on it needs a boot in his ass from the company, and then the company should take care of it. I don't know if it's because the repair guy didn't have a clue, or company policies that only allow them to do "x" amount and say it's fixed, but I do know the company has not made a peep, just ignore it and keep advertising it. In my view, if it were my company and it was the repair mans screw up, I'd handle it internally, and offer to fix the gun, paying the shipping to have it sent back for the mistake. I got nothing, so if it hurts their sales, so be it, they done it to themselves.
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 I understand and when you deal with a customer whether it be an email or a phone call they then become a representative of that company. People need to be trained or at least have the company goals and policies in mind when dealing with customers. Word of mouth, which is the best, advertising, takes years to build and an instant to destroy. I am sorry you have has issues with the gun. I have one and I love it. I wish you the best.
You get what you pay for. People get sucked into it due to its low price. After you seeing couple of great reviews, you decide to buy it.You don’t know how other people’s air ventury lasts as not everyone will post a video.
I knew what I was getting into, they have a track record of putting out guns that leak, same issue as the first two. I got this one as a gift, and as for the get what ya paid for, I've got a gun I've had for several years now that still shoots like a dream, actually two, but one hasn't had thousands upon thousands of pellets through it, thing is, they still work great, no leaks, powerful, my go-to when I know I need a gun that will do what I need it to do. So, I'm pretty much so sick I could puke of the "You get what you pay for" excuse for this rifle, I only have four pcp's, all are budget guns, this one is the only one that has issues. I knew all about the gun before I ever got it, I was waiting to see if they would fix the issue or screw everyone over like they did on the last two models they put out, and once again, surprise, surprise, surprise. I watched the video of it being torn down and the crappy poppit in it as the same models. There's no excuse for the horrible repair service as well, they fu***d it up and wanted me to pay, again, to mail it back to once again gamble and see if they would actually fix it or pull the same BS. It is absolutely impossible for the gun to have been fixed and not leak enough overnight for them not to see it clearly. Low price or not, it came with a useless warranty as well. SO you saying you have to pay high dollar to get an actual usable warranty as well? Come one man, you're making excuses for them, that's why they do it, the same exact line has run through this industry for years, the same exact line that comes out of everyone who buys they excuse and will resale it for them. Stop making excuses for companies to put out garbage and they'll stop doing it, they're making millions upon millions screwing customers over and you're selling the lie they want everyone to be sold. Sorry buddy, if ya ain't got a couple grad to toss in on a good airgun and system then I guess your trash and deserve to be screwed over while we make the community tell you it's your fault for not spending thousands. How much ya think it would have cost for a good poppit and seals for this gun? a couple dollars at most, they could have tacked an extra $50 on the price and it would have been worth it. I've also heard nonstop about how it was made in China. No, it was approved by a company in Solon, Oh, which was in the USA the last time I checked, and considering I'm from the state and worked literally right down the road from the place years ago, yeah, it's in America, and they had to sign off and approve it to be made the way it is, materials and all, test it, etc, etc. So blaming China isn't gonna work either, not that you said anything about it, but those two excuses given to the company to use as their excuse to screw over their customers, again, is why they do it. Thanks for your two cents on the subject though.
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 I was gonna get this air ventury, that’s why I have been watching videos.Didn’t mean to offend you in any way.So far I’m more than happy with my gamo swarm magnum gen2 22 cal. However,it would be nice to have a rifle that feels more like a traditional rifle. For my once in a while shooting, forking over $1,500 or more doesn’t make sense. The ventury has nice features for sure, being able to depressurize the gun is nice.Don’t want to have pcp if I’m only going to shoot 3 rounds lol, then have it sitting for weeks under pressure. That’s why I love the gamo magnum, cock it when needed, that’s it lol.I don’t know if it’s possible to release air out of the gamo urban 22 which a was thinking about getting.
@@garyhill9516 You can find it with soapy water, you probably already know this, I'm sure there is a seal out there that will work. But, if it's under warranty you'd think you could get it fixed and looked over. I don't know what model you have but I'd be upset as well for the price of the Katrans I've seen. if it's the popit I'd ask DUI also goes by Dark Charisma on Gateway To Airguns, he's on Airgun Nation forum as well, he makes popits and a lot of other stuff for airguns. I hope you get it figured out, my issue is having to work on it and my hands and arms being messed up makes things a lot harder and takes a lot longer if I can do it, I am just mad about this situation because whoever worked on it didn't check it, and now worse than when I sent it. it cost me $31 to have it shipped, not have it for a month, and get screwed on the deal. I'll get it fixed but won't buy another one of their guns, this is model number three they've put out with bad seals.
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 yes sir I know where it leaks. And no it's not under warranty anymore due to me trying to fix it myself. Even though I hurt nothing. The first time it leaked I sent it back for repairs. This time I took it apart myself. That voided my warranty. It cost 67 bucks to send it and I wasn't going to do it again! I told them if I had to send it again I don't want it back. I'm on SSI and don't have money for that crap. I Know what the weakness is in my gun but don't have a machine shop to make a firing pin guide to insert in the plenum so the popit seats in the same position every time. Anyway it sucks to have just ordered a thousand pellets for a gun with no air.
Yeah, i'm gonna have to talk to DarkCharisma and get a poppet for it. This is just nonsense bro, no possible way they did not see that it was leaking even if it sat over night, I checked it in 12 hours and saw the leak. If it wasn't their third model that has leak issues it would be different, but it's been years and they haven't fixed it, that's just wrong on their part.
Yeah, I haven't checked it, I wanted to let them fix any issues it had, i specifically asked, just garbage for repair. but yeah, I'll get it fixed, I shouldn't have too.
Thanks for the comment Iron Works. I wish I could but I painted mine so I can't have it replaced, this is why I sent it back for the repair, the paper says they didn't find a leak beore or after, lol, you can fill it and literally watch it leak out hour by hour. I'll get this one fixed and running the way I want from after market parts, but I'll never buy another one from them, this is the third model they've put out that has leak issues. They talk about it as if you are buying a faulty gun and you'll have to fix it yourself, but it's the greatest budget gun to ever come out. I've got thee gun that have not leaked a drop in years, two being three years old and never had a leak. One of the two older models had an issue when I first got it and they had it taken care of within two weeks, actually I think it was about a week. the hatsan Flashpup wood model came out with mad magazines, I didn't want a single loader, they bit the bulle tnad discarded all the older mags and made new ones immeditately and got them in the hands of the owners ASAP. I guess if it were an AV gun they would have told me the mag was fine and sent me two more bad ones and pretend everything was fine.
I recently tried out three Avenger .22s and all three had regulator creep. All three were the new baffle models with a creep rate of 200 PSI in seven minutes plus an over night creep of 600 to 800 PSI. The rate of creep in all three Avengers was exactly the same which indicates a manufacturers defect. My begging of Pyramyd Air to send a non-creeper fell on deaf ears due mainly to their robotic customer service system. The ten for ten purchase is a joke which includes pumping up the air rifle and shooting it ten times and sticking back a box for shipment. Don't think regulator creep diagnoses is on their agenda. Good luck on getting that problem addressed. My request was simple. Please don't send another creeper. Somehow without my understanding as to why, my last creeper was channeled over to Air Venturi for an evaluation. My hope was they were going to find me a new non-creeper. Wrong! My creeper was evaluated by pumping it up, looking at the tank pressure and doing a shot string. What does that have to do with regulator creep. The verdict of Air Venturi, " nothing wrong with your air rifle". The Air Vernturi procedure was identical to the joke Pyramyd Air calls ten for ten. Presently, I am seeking a refund but feel that will be ignored even though the Avenger creeper is within the 60 day return policy. My research and investigation has revealed a possible explanation for ignoring the Avenger creepers. First, it is possible the creepers are a manufacturers defect of unknown quantities. The Avenger had a poppet problem that took over a year to solve. This may be the case for the creepers with the current Avenger inventory plus the cargo boats waiting at the dock to be unloaded from China. If my speculation is correct on the problem being wide spread, Pyramyd Air and Air Venturi are sitting on a possible loss of revenue if a regulator defect becomes common knowledge. .This is why I think Avenger regulator issues are ignored. Another issue that has compounded the problem is the lack of spare parts from China. Replacement regulators may not be available. Please don't take my word for this information. Do your own investigation. Buy the Avenger if that is your preference. Above is my speculation based on experience and research however flawed that may be. This is an issue that air rifle consumers should at least have an awareness. One bit of advice I will give, if you have the 60 day exchange and return policy for the Avenger from Pyramyd Air, examine your air rifle ASAP and take advantage of the warranty. Don't send it to Air Venturi during those 60 days, you will regret it.
My .25 never really had an issue with reg creep, some of course, but yeah, I hear ya loud and clear. I got pretty sick of hearing the excuse by the community that has been trained to regurgitate their excuses, that it's what I get for buy a Chinese gun. I'm from Ohio, the last time I checked it was still in the USA, it may be manufactured down there, but it was approved to be made by the folks right here in the good 'ole USA, so that excuse doesn't fly well with me. If they wanted it fixed they would tell the manufatures to fix it, but that would require money to be spent, and obviously, this is a take money from the customers and lose them for a good deal. this is the third model they've put out with leaks and issues they ignored. I have the Nomad 2 pump, it needed a seal replaced out of the box, but it's been good since, going on three years, no complaints, but I won't buy another gun from them again, or anything else for that matter until I am sure it is actually worth buying.
@@billr4283 same here, forget it. Pyramid Air lost out on this guy. I thought they took care of their customers.
Your like some kind of Trump fanboy with a fetish for self flagellation.
agreed! some people are just too lazy to do it by themselves.
Have you made any ground on what’s causing the leak? My avenger is leaking about 1-200 psi per 24 hour period
Just wanted to ask have you sprayed some soapy water around the air tank and or the air gauges?
Took mine 2 yrs to leak but there's no stopping it !! Think the tanks are stressing ! Mines going in trash ! Or single bottle adapters ?
Just adapted it to a bottle ! Looks really good with a bottle !
Thankful for listening to our request.
I hope I was able to help ya with something, I appreciate you checking out the video and the comment.
Unfortunately out here, warranty is not giving and the air is leaking. And I don't know where it's comming from.
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 Thanks
If it were me I would next purge all the air out then close the reg off completely. Fill the gun up and see if it still leaks. At least you will know if it is the reg leaking or not.
I haven't tried that yet, thanks for the thought on that.
Was thinking of getting one these but it all seems too much hassle to have a PCP so I will be getting a multi-shot gas piston air rifle.

Are you using the magazine? I know the magazine will make it do that, but I also hear other people with the same issue, I've read that the barrel is moving, I'm not sure if that is an issue with the old barrel bands that were screwed into the air tank instead of between the air tank and shroud..

Again thanks for your video as this has brought some light on this leaking issue.
thanks for telling it like it is.
Looks like I'll need to take the whole airtube off to do that
@@lew-e Check out Air Velocity Sports video, he does a complete teardown.
Looking for details repairing video.
I hope you've found it. It is the Air Velocity Sports channel for this gun.
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 Thank you.
I know this to be true because a while back some people found that if they drained all the air out they could not put air in with a hand pump, they had to cock the hammer to release the pressure on the output valve so it would stay closed so that they could pump it up,,
Cocking the hammer , on the first fill , is common. I do it on every new PCP.
Yo brother just checking in on you my friend hope all is well
Yeah, I'm still hanging out, life is changing again.

Thanks Rob, I appreciate it. I have fallen way behind on getting videos out, it's been a crappy month health wise, but I'll be back on it soon.
Have checked around the forums?? I know someone is making a better poppet for this gun. Mine avenger just came in. Hope it isn’t a dud
I agree with everything you said in response to my comments. And everything else you said for that matter.

@@slowpokeairgunner4027 I deleted a comment Midway through the video as you were ranting back-and-forth and watch to the end and reposted a new comment which is the present one we are chatting off of.
Can’t ship full of air
It was filled and left over night, when it's filled it leaks more than it did when I sent it, actually, it loses more in half the time it would lose in a day. When they came out they were shipping them with air because of the leak issue. You can't ship one full because of the pressure at different altitudes, I live in the mountains so it's different than where I used to live. I normally leave mine filled about half way when I travel to prevent issues, especially up and down the mountains.
Man i hate to hear when this stuff happens !
@@JoeMama-hl5qc Any ideas why and where? This seems silly but the kids bath product Mr Bubble is what we used in the chem lab to tract down leaks.
@@crawford323 I removed the shroud and installed the sweet balloon mod at the end of the barrel. Sure, enough, I found the leak.
Just spray it down with some soapy water at least you'll know where the leak is for sure
Yeah, I just thought maybe when they told me to send it back and they'd fix it that they would do that while they were looking for the leak. x-D
