- A user requested info about the advanced configuration menu choices for the Anet ET4 with Marlin 2.0+. Let's take a quick look at E-steps and PID autotune The menus are clean and it is pretty easy to navigate and make your anet ET4 work just the way you wish.

Great video! I am trying to figure out how to level it using menu and UBL leveling, without using g-code (paper always works with corner leveling of course)
UBL gcode leveling works too:
1) Set up mesh:
M502 - clean eeprom,
M500 - save,
G29P1 - level bed,
G29S1 - save to slot 1,
G29 F10.0 - feight height set to 10 mm,
G29 A - activate UBL,
M500 - save eeprom
2) Z-probe: G28-home,
G1x120y120,
G1z0 - go to the center and z0,
m211 S0 -switch off endstops to be able to go to Z minus zone if needed,
level with paper moving z axis,
m114 - check result Z,
M851 Z(numbers-result Z),
M211 S1 - turn on endstops back
M500 - save eeprom
M503 - check eeprom, if z-offset was saved
G28 - home
G26 p10- test print ).
Thanks. I have not messed with the UBL system. Grew up on the paper, have not adapted... One of these days I am sure I will get time and give it a go.
Can you show how you level on this printer with Marlin? Every other printer ive had was manual levelling, not sure how to set this one up with not Z limit switch, it only has the probe.
Correction, it homes perfectly, but when it starts the print, its atleast 20mm off the bed
Mine is at school, so I will try to look at it tomorrow. When you see it home, you see the sensor light go red, right? That should mean it is detecting the bed... I am trying to think of why it would be crazy far off when printing.
Hy there! I have a 3D printer, Anet ET 4 Pro, but my menu is not the same as yours. Can you tell me how can i get those settings as in this clip? I need for calibration Y. Thank you for the clip!

what about the ET5X any info on that. I know it will be the same board I hope, I have one comming to me and plan to update it. Will the fermware work on it ? I have only seen 2 of your guys update the new Anet Et4 with Marlin.
Not sure on the ET5X. I have never had my hands on one. =(

Sir. Max temp on anet et4 is 260. I want to add max temprature on my anet et4. How to do that.

will marlin 2.0 run on et4 i have a problem with my extruder is operate back words you tell it to load and it unloads you tell it to unload and it loads how do u fix it
Yes it will. Sounds like your wires may be backwards if the buttons are working inverse. Or... whatever firmware you are working with may be inverted.
How to modify the maximum temperature of the hotend?
I got her up to 240, but I only used that when I was playing with the PETG. I use PLA almost exclusively.

Did u made marlin also for et5x?
There is a marlin file you can edit, but I have not messed with them at all.

I flashed my et⁴ then I tried to reverse firmware to it's original and it doesn't work. Can you make a video about it.

@@HLModTech Thanks, I found where I was wrong. I was flashing 1.1.5 firmware, that one won't let me flashing but with 1.1.2 version it works perfectly.
Can Marlin be uploaded using an SD card?
No, the way it was set up from the factory that is not possible..
But the official update from Anet can be uploaded by SD card. Do you think they will add such a function for Marlin in the future?
I am not sure of the plans... We were more or less hacking to get Marlin 2 on there. It was a pretty amazing feat do. David, the lead fella was awesome. In the end Anet was impressed enough they gave him kudos for making it work. Originally they were firm in that the firmware was always going to be closed source.
auto leveling stil working on it ?
I am not. I just use the paper technique I have always used. I get good results, so it is not on my list for changing. I have used the adjustment on Z when I thought there was too much or to little adhesion though. It seems to work well.
