I just rigged out a cage for my Nikon Z5 and when I get an upgrade to Z6ii the same cage will fit it. I have top handle (Small Rig) and side grip (Small Rig brand) plus JLwin cage which looks identical to Small Rig cage and is just as strong. I added a 5.5 inch monitor and love this system with the small swivel adapter from Neewer. The top handle has Nato lock so I can easily remove the handle and fit camera mounted in Cage with side grip into a camera backpack that fits it. The only thing I need to get is the Follow Focus mini rail system which I will get at some point. Using the grip and cage makes moving the camera around fairly smooth when you move slowly around. Only thing smoother is a gimbal but you cannot add too many accessories to a gimbal as balance is an issue, so the cage has its place to use when you need it. Love the details breakdown of your setup. With a xave it give you that freedom to add many other accessories, but also give you the capability of creating that natural camera shake place the stability. Gimbal, though perfect for getting the buttery smooth shots, you are still limited in the whole creative process, so having both is a definite benefit
