If you've been watching MKBHD for some time, you can clearly notice how much effort he puts into making content more aesthetically appealing and his attention to detail. We are paying them our time and every little bit makes it even more worth it.

A tip I've seen ppl give on YT with shooting videos using manual focus or fixed focus lenses is to use a string or wire attached to your (moving) subject so that when it is in tension you know you're in focus.
