A great lesson on using the iPhone 15 Pro Max, BMC app, and your cage which I got and love. Some really good tips for using it to its maximum potential. The quick release handles on the cage are the cat's meow after all those screw-on ones I use to cuss. Your work is magical.

My first project, "Loving Till It Hurts" on tubi was shot on Lumix GH4 and my 2nd and third was shot on Red Helium and Red Komodo. Being a fan of Lumix Cameras, I just saw the GH7 reviews I'm looking forward to shoot on it as well.
I have the same cage and what I did was to insert one key holder ring in each side and them I attache to each side a digital camera strap this way is secure on my neck
Just got mine in this week!!! Can't wait to use it. Right now trying to figure out how to balance it with the Hohem MT2 in vertical mode...Otherwise, love the build and the quick release of the handles. :)

I carried an FX30 and a DJI RS 3 mini along with my Mavic 3 all around Europe this is definitely a much smaller lighter profile. There is no comparison
Brandon!!! Got your cage from smallrig and love it!!! Just two things if you can get smallrig to make: a small flat clamp that can snap to the back of the phone cage to hold the ssd flat (and still have a 1/4" hole), and an actual angled usb-c that does 40gbps that fits the bottom (smallrig makes one for your cage but doesn't transfer 40gbps). This would make the cage perfect esp when using a gimbal. Tried looking on Etsy to find a 3d printed one but no avail. Love the entire setup tho and the colorway. Thanks Brandon!!!!!
That looks awesome! Time for an upgrade. Has the last small rig one. I use it while filming ultra mountain runners on a small DJI Osmo OM mobile se. Super critical with the weight. How much does this one way compared to their old one?
Can anyone guide me as to why at 1:20 the color space tag is set to Rec.709? Shouldn’t it be set to apple log or same as capture? Also do you record LUT to clip or leave that off and just apply it in post in premiere pro or Final Cut etc? Thanks

Any tips for shooting log via black magic with an ND filter in high light snowy mountains? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as I’m very new to shooting in log and want to make the most of an upcoming Alaska trip.
I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and use the Blackmagic Camera app with all the specifications I've seen in this tutorial and others. However, my videos always have grain, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I understand it might be due to low light in the places I'm recording, but almost all the material has grain. Hey Brandon any way there is a moment T-series mountable VND coming? I want to keep the T-series mount on the cage so I can quickly pop on that set of lenses. It would be nice to be able to use your magnetic VND with a T Series mounted attachment.

Wife got me the regular smallrig cage for my iPhone 15pm for birthday Cage really makes it easier to film like you have a gimbal Will eventually get the mount and VND
Brandon, quick question - what are Your settings of stabilization? It becomes laggy on Cinematic and almost impossible for dynamic scenes in Extreme. And amazing shots of Hong Kong, thanks!
Would’ve loved to get your signature cage, but it’s only available for the pro max. I wasn’t willing to give up the 77mm camera for the less versatile 120mm, so the 15 pro was my choice.
I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Pro. Smallrig makes an identical cage in just plain grey for the iPhone 15 Pro - same quick release handles and you can add the Lens mount plate for the ND filter. I use both - the 77mm Lens has certain advantages for certain shots and I got a great trade-in deal on my old phones from my provider so I opted for both. They were the price of one with all the deals.

Question, how does this compare to a gimbal in terms of movement forward without slow motion?
It doesn’t stabilize mechanically, so it’s not really comparable. Just allows you to get a better grip while holding the phone.
I got the cage and try more high level and this time of issue has many useful tips many thanks😉

I don’t think shoes really make a difference. I’ve used sandals, boots, barefoot.

It allows to use MagSafe battery packs to just snap on the back of the phone and they are pretty inexpensive too, most probably the easiest option..
