I find that getting the filter even just half full of fresh oil, is enough for a start-up with no noises, and with the oil pressure gauge coming up normally and without delay.

Even got the rare tach! My 2001 Silverado has a blend door actuator gone bad as well drives me nuts! 330k seems to a good runner!

The 91 Sierra I had was a regular cab, long bed 2wd 350 truck. I paid $800 for it back in 2007. GMT 400 trucks are great!
walmart oil is good oil the old truck looks good them are some good trucks
