Belltech shocks are ok, since it’s owned by KW idk why they don’t make a stiffer mono tube shock for us street truck enthusiasts that like lowering our trucks.
I have a 1977 P-20 step van lowered by cutting one ring in front of the spring and took the overload springs out and kept the regular leif pack and put air shocks front and back! My question to you is do they make a 5 lug pattern swap for front on back? I did buy a 6 bolt disc brake setup from a newer truck but was looking to see if there was a swap kit for the front in order to bag it?Thanks Guys,Mike
Whats the tire size. Ie got an 88 OBS and im not sure what wheel size and tire size I want to run. I put 2in shackles in the rear but i may go lower. Im fixing to build a 4.8 vortec motor to put in the truck. Im also changing the grille. Possibly a roll pan and doing the tailgate handle flip

What do you recommend on this.... **97 Sierra single cab long bed V6 about to be 350 with 5speed manual**. I want to add add-a-leafs to my suspension and then lower it. Why? Because it's a work truck so I want to have added load capability of the leafs but be able to lower it....if possible. I order 15x10 (3in backspacing (-63mm)) with 275/60r15. I want to have a nice lowered, not slammed, stance. Fender flares will be ordered once I see how the wheels fit. Is it possible to lower after installing add-a-leafs?

I'm doin a Belltech 4/6 kit on a 91 I just bought. On the reg. cab trucks, do u still install the transmission tailshaft spacers or is that for ext. cabs only? I know the carrier bearing spacer is only for ext. cabs, but wasn't sure on the trans. tailshaft spacers. Thanks.
Unfortunately it's not AC, but wish it was! We did this with tools that most car guys would have in their garage as well, minus the lift. With that said, I have done numerous in my own garage over the years just as easily.

I bought my 91 chevy already dropped. It has a 4/6 djm kit but instead of drop spindles it has 2" lower control arms. Is there a benefit to changing the spindle vs the control arms?
Using the BellTech notch on a 7" drop, it can bottom out at times on large bumps. However, we have developed an under bed step notch to help with this a lot and add 2" additional travel. Another thing I realized is the previous owner must have or who knows, but on my leaf springs I only that 2 leads and that lower one. I have seen most trucks with atleast 3? Not sure if my leaf springs are also not got good anymore.
Everything i bought from belltech for my truck (hangars/brackets) were a disaster. Not a single bolt hole was correct and 3 bracket sets the spring wouldn't even go into the pocket.... we had to use 2 sets to make 1 that we still had to open holes up to get in place. Pinion hardware broke while suspension settled and had to immediately get a parts store setup. Belltech's response..."nothing we can do" jegs made it right and billed them for lift time for all the mess I had to go thru. Belltech is a joke that makes parts out of the country and doesn't quality check.

It is not a 8" drop, as that is only a 1" shackle, as they still have multiple holes, although the others are smaller. Belltech's 2" shackled are physically longer then there 1" when you compared. This is 100% a 1" shackle. Also, it is a 5" drop up front, since we didn't use the spacer up front. Trust me, we done many of these trucks and know them well and know the parts we use and sell on the daily.

Leave driveline as is, and we leave them un touched on regular cabs.

The front wheels aren't the same per side. On all OBS's I have seen, one side is closer than the other. Just the way they are.

No, the 13" kit requires 18" wheels or larger. Only stock brakes will work in the 15" wheels.

Control arms are better in my opinion because in most cases it keeps stock geometry.

putting blocks in the rear of a truck with the axle on top of the leafs will lift the truck, not lower it.

My truck sits at the same hight on 20s 😂 I know it’s a 8” drop in the back I thing is a 6” drop all I’m gonna say is it was sorta lowered right
It definitely is not a 6" drop and is a 7" drop. Keep in mind that you require more drop to get to the same fender, due to running taller 20" wheels.
