Call me crazy, but naturally empathetic people tend to have more digestive issues in general. I think it's easy to internalize a lot. I didn't realize this until seeing it in my daughter.

Look up highly sensitive persons (HSP) by Dr Elaine N. Aron. Also Dr Gabor Mate’s book When the body says no. I’d look thru Dr Aron’s website first as she’s done the most research on HSP. This isn’t for yet another label (don’t help and already too many) or dx just for a basis of understanding w/your daughter. You sound like a good mom. : )

Maybe swap empathy with compassion. Empathy is a beautiful quality, but only a suggestion from the video.
I have the tendency to feel responsible, as if I should have all the answers, but I remind myself that compassion for them is enough and each person's journey is unique. Trust that each one will find their way🧡

acupuncture helped with my anxiety & obsessive behavior (ocd). noticed it after my 6th session.
it really does move around the gut, and u feel u need to the toilet. it balances the body, and some how the blood sugar gets balanced even after you stop, i dont need to eat every 3-4 hours, and i can fast for 8-24h which i couldn’t before.
if you have hot flushes men or women (feeling over heat or cold )in the body, acupuncture can definitely help.

Second, YAY JAPAN!!!! It's my big recovery goal to be well enough to go to Japan and eat (dare I say) anything I want. I watch a lot of Japan travel videos as well for doses of joy. Thank you again!

Love the video about these lifestyle or things to put you in a good mood and reduce stress. Have you made a video about what minerals and or vitamins run the vagus nerve? I used to pass out every now and again. My doctor just kept telling me it was the vagus nerve causing it. I just did a Google search and found that magnesium and zinc help run the vagus nerve. I just learned recently that there is some link between choline and the vagus nerve. I limit high sulfur foods because of hydrogen sulfide sibo. I just realized that those foods are high in choline so I was choline deficient. And choline helps absorb magnesium and B12. So Id love to hear a deep dive on those things. Copper also helps recycle magnesium and helps create many neurotransmitters too.

I'm 72 now and suspect i have had SIFO, SIBO or similar from the age of 6 when i was apparently mistakenly given a large overdose if antibiotics. Thats just a little background to the actual question.
At the age of 21 in 1971 I had VAGOTOMY and Pyloroplasty as treatment for duodenal ulcers, that was standard practice at the time I dont think the importance of the Vagus nerve was fuloy understood at the time.
Question Is there any way of stimulating a severed Vagus nerve.
I can appreciate it may be difficult to answer the question as the procedure has largely been discontinued hence the apparent shortage of information.
Absolutely love the work your doing by the way, that will continue irrespective of the answer.

delta is good for digestion, i guess it influences the vagal nerve.

Ya, but what about thumb sucking? Has anybody tried that after adulthood to combat medical conditions? Im new to the channel, n I wonder there is a video about the thyroid gland, the tonsil, spine etc as important characters in the sibo game, where the spine is like a dinner table, and the "Vagas" nerve is the Maid, the tonsils is the taste tester, and the thyroid gland is the cook, something like that, with the taste buds being the junior cooks, the esophagus being the restaurant, the bacteria being the customers, and the large intestine being the billing counter, HLC being the currency or something. If that's the case, everything makes sense now.
(Long story short, my spine messed up, I lost my balance, couldn't walk for 2 weeks, but then I found my way out, now I'm in the half way journey thingy, trying to unlock my entire nervous system so that my spine works fully like it used to before my hypothyroidism went extremely bad, leading to severe symptoms, including bone weakness, intolerance to cold, indigestion and everything)
Thumb sucking did work for me, I was being instinctive. It helped me grab my entire spine with one finger so easily, and it helps with more saliva production, and somehow induced this great relief and posture correction. I noticed that during my healing process, the acid reflux had a meaningful role, if the acids had excess carbohydrates, somehow I felt bad, and when it had excess fat, I felt good and I'm still trying to figure out if it impacts the thyroid gland or no.

Just found your vids, great stuff! Do you have any thoughts/info on hypnosis for IBS? I think I have functional dyspepsia which is harder to find information on... I did read that hypnosis helps for both IBS and FD. I do the things you mentioned in this video as part of my whole life self care practice. I am getting better utilizing EFT tapping. Not sure if you'll see this but wanted to try. Our guts really tell us where we are...

As a 55-year-old woman I had to pause the video and Google BTS and butter lol just to make sure I didn’t miss some thing about a dairy product last year lol. I absolutely love your videos, and it’s a blessing I found you!

I would also love to see the vagus nerve and heart rate variability but only if you don't get constipated over it. Take your time breathe deep

Japan will not disappoint. Technically I was born there, but can't really remember that far back. However been back a number of times and can say that Japan is preternaturally beautiful; like, the foliage is extra detailed or high fidelity--astonishing really, and wait till you hear the bamboo clanking into bamboo, mesmerizing

If your vagus nerve has been effected by cervical neck instability due to weakened ligaments and disc injuries does that mean the vagus nerve is compresed/irritated - under stimulated?

This is very informative. I suffer greatly with IBS, Gastroparesis, possibly SIBO, and SI. Need to find a G.I. who will be willing to send me for the necessary tests. I take miralax and drink prune juice daily for the constipation. My depression and anxiety are through the roof, so I'm in counseling. I really like what you said about the gratitude journaling. I am going to start doing that, as well as the happy videos. I am going to check out your other videos as well. Thank you and God bless.

How are you now? My digestion was great until I accidentally took a large dose of anti-inflammatories and gave myself reactive gastritis. I was put on very strong PPI'S for about 6-8 weeks. Now my stomach isn't digesting. I have gastric delay and am waiting to see a specialist 😒

The thing with digestive issues is it can fluctuate back and forth, from diarrhea to constipation. Having undergone strong, toxic chemotherapy is what started my own issues. Most times I am not able to absorb fats properly. I notice that meat is easier than veggies to digest and causes way less distress. Intermittent fasting and clean eating has helped, but it takes time to have everything finally swing back into balance again!
      Good luck, everybody!
