It seems to be those type of people who do see more than a lot of the regular doctors.
Maybe it's that there's less emphasis on medications as an instant answer, and more of an intuitive view.
I'm glad that you have been able to get help through your acupuncturist & naturopath.

I definitely fit with reason 1, 6, and 7. I really got knocked out of balance after a violent gastro (food poisoning) and took massive amounts of antibiotics my whole life. Bad sleep and stress, definitely. I was diagnosed with IBS, citrobacter overgrowth, light amount of Candida and I am stuck in a cycle, trying to get out of it for a year now. Thank you so much for the information.

For the gut disbiosis after antibiotics, it's recommended to take probiotics. But for sibo is not recommended to use probiotics, so what's the best take in this situation? I tried probiotics for few weeks after antibiotic use, and they gave me a lot of gas so my doctor just told me i have sibo.

Hi! Jane here. In 2019 we were flooded out of our home. In the flurry of getting out, my digestive system shut down, and over the next year I lost too much weight, and ended up in the hospital. I was put on TPN to help me gain back the weight. As soon as it started, my flat stomach started bloating, and that's when I got SIBO.
there was that imbalance that you talked about. I had no idea that I probably should have been taking probiotics to bring things into balance. I really have enjoyed your videos. I just found you last night. I feel like I have been stuck in that sympathetic nerve state, and not gone back to the parasympathetic state as I should. I have just found out about the Vagus nerve's importance, and i look forward to what you have to say. Thank you for all of this excellent information!

Hi Jane, sorry to hear about this and hope you improving. Can I ask how did your digestive system stop working? Were you constipated and losing weight? Was your appetite okay?
I ask as I have severe weight loss despite eating well, down to 124lbs/56kgs from 167lbs/74kgs in June 2019. My appetite is good. I'm concerned that mold toxicity could be a root cause, I tested positive for methane SIBO will be seeing practitioner next week to treat. I'm so thin and weak losing weight everyday!

Could I possibly have gastritis without any stomach pain, at all...? Although I did have an episode, many years ago, when I literally could not sleep for 2 weeks, because of the stress and the pain of stomach. Nothing at all, since, but the problems with the digestion slowly and gradually progressed. I also currently take ACV before meals and I don't sense any discomfort in the stomach.

I wonder if the adhesions are also present with uterine fibroids? I've pretty much narrowed it down to either hypothyroidism (I also have a low resting heart rate of 53) or adhesions due to large fibroids - possibly both, if hypothyroidism is the result of SIBO rather than the cause. Come to think of it, I also suffer from occasional hypoglycaemia - but my HbA1c is normal.

Four years ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, MCTD. I have been suffering from IBS for years. Recently diagnosed with SIBO. GI doctor, believes it is caused by my autoimmune disease. When I told that to my rheumatologist, she completely disagree, she said it has nothing to do with it. I'm not diabetic, my thyroid is fine, no infection, no issues with food, so I think Gastro is right. Its very frustrating when doctors aren't on the same page.

    I am 1 and 6!
Diagnosed myself , well Thru you! But
Last year . After 4th booster and then Covid within a month- my G.I. doc said that a lot of his patients after Covid have had a major G.I. issues because it is an inflammatory disease, so working through that as well , so we did endoscopy and said I had chronic gastritis and put me on Prilosec twice a day and then the last three months I’ve been in the hospital pancreatitis and gallbladder sludge and all my labs are perfect so one doctor said I’m normal you’re fine go home 20:22 doctor said take her gallbladder out another doctor said probably of cancer call Kat and US and then the other doctor said just go home and continue with the Met your on from your doctor, which started me on my whole self search
I am an RN, and also was a pharmaceutical rep, and I definitely feel him slipping through the cracks and hypothyroidism is a boring woman’s disease. They just give you Synthroid for and understandably nobody cares about it but now I can’t leave my house and can eat two foods well that was last month so two weeks into it I am doing 1000 times better and thank you and I will go watch your gastritis Videos sorry this is long but you are amazing and thank you. I was doing the gallbladder cleanse and I’m afraid to start the HCl so I’m going to do a lot more research before I start that if I start

Great explanations. You said in the end that all the root causes have solutions. Could you share the commonest solutions for all of them? I’ve been struggling with a resistant giardiasis for the past 5months. Never had TGI issues before, and my QOL had dropped a lot. Had SIBO in between, treated with rifaximin and neomicin, just to find out the next day tha Giardia was (still?) there. Any insights on treatment for PI-IBS (no idea how to treat) or motility issues (prokinectics?) any insights in how to promote the balance between bad and good bacteria? Probiotics? Will look into your other videos, but if you find time to reply, I’ll be super happy. In my home country it’s incredibly hard to find TGI doctors who are knowledgeable on these topics.

Ps. Taken tinidazole, Albendazole, metronidazole, secnidazole; then had a SIBO super positive test and went to rifaximin, then, constipation, went for neomicin+bactrimF, to find out the next day, after the course, when still having diarrhoea, that it Giardia was there. In my home country we don’t have quinacrine or other recommendations from the US guidelines.

    • @gutmicrobiomequeen
      @gutmicrobiomequeen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Great idea! It's really hard to say, though, as psoriasis is a down-stream consequence of other issues. For starters, is say:
      - Look for dysbiosis, infections, or injuries that are not fully healed and address those
      - Look at sleep quantity and quality as well as stress and manage those to the best of your ability
      - Look for any toxins in your environment (mold, metals, BPA, etc) and remove them
      - Make sure your diet is nourishing you (make sure you're getting enough calories, balanced macros, and vitamins, minerals, and fiber)
      - Consider adding anti-inflammatories to quet down inflammation (ex. Turmeric, broccoli seed sprouts, green tea, fish oil)
      Hope this helps 🥰

Well, I have had several issues that could have caused this. I had COVID(or the flu) during my first pregnancy. I was knocked out for three days l was hardly able to get out of bed. Then we moved to another state, I then had a very painful miscarriage of my son. Hospital staff like my ER doctor was a scumbag and the hospital representative only furthered my stress post-miscarriage. I was feeling suicidal there was so much gaslighting and bs about how my ER doctor handled my miscarriage(I should have been with my OBGYN the whole time). My OBGYN dumped me off so I did not get appropriate postpartum care from what I understand.
I may have been given antibiotics in the hospital in my IV, I was not made aware and so I never took probiotics or anything to rebalance my gut.
Afterwards, I got a diagnosis after about a year after being in and out of the ER and Urgent care for sudden and severia insomnia and chest pain. My functional medicine doctor finally gave me an H pylori blood test and confirmed it for me(negative breath test after 1 or 2 treatment failures). I'm still waiting on stool test results but I'm betting its going to be Sibo and gastritis post-h pylori.

Seeing big improvements in fluid retention, pms, energy, mood. Makes me wonder about liver burden from sibo.

How is dysbiosis by itself driving sibo if these are just sitting in the colon. Also then how do antibiotics induce sibo but sibo needs antibiotic to be eradicated a lot of times. Can you please teach or explain more on this. TY so much

IMO is fed by acid. Methanogens love acid, and the acid fuels their growth and production of gas and byproducts. This is according to Dr. Mark Pimentel. More acid = more methanogen activity = more toxins being produced and released in your gut, which can then excrete into the bloodstream and travel to all organs, thereby stressing out your liver, causing brain mood changes, skin issues, on and on.

I notice you go out of your way to avoid speaking about the gallbladder and how it contributes to SIBO in your videos. If people find out that simply taking Ox Bile over a couple of days to weeks can eliminate SIBO, you wouldn't have many patients that pay you now, would you?

Wow. You're rude and quite bold.
No, I don't go "out of my way" to avoid bile and GB function. I just have yet to cover it in a great deal of depth on this channel. I have a list of about 150 topics I'd like to cover, though, so 🤷 gimme time, man.
I also don't thing it's as miraculously curative as you say. Is it a PIECE of the puzzle? Sure. Is it the biggest piece? In my opinion, no. And even if it is involved in someone's case, you still need to ask WHY they have poor bile flow and address that. Teaching people to pop ox bile without addressing their roots will only get you so far.
Lastly, Amy and I have an entire episode about this topic on the IBS Freedom Podcast.

You are right, Ox Bile probably isn't a miracle cure for most people. All I know is it's the only thing that worked for MY SIBO problem, so not seeing it on your channel when you have tons of information about other stuff just made you look very suspicious in my eyes. I'm glad you're not one of those scummy doctors and just haven't gotten around to covering the gallbladder yet.
