    Bought one in July. I've had many different bikes. This inline 4 is a gem. Sounds awesome and if you are honest with yourself is all the power you'll ever need. Its vibe free and smooth AF. Love that's its without all the electronic bullshit you don't need. Just twist and go.

      @@Fee.1 no knowledge on the honda but I don't believe you can get it up to 120hp, even with tuning. You'd have to spend a lot of money to get it there. Exhaust, tune, mapping can get you up to about 112hp. I don't think I've seen many people get this bike beyond that. But it's not really needed since it's a torque monster. Low end power is where it shines

    I rode both the 750 and the 1000 at Daytona's bike week earlier this year. The 750 is lighter, and really flickable, whereas the 1000 is a heavier and somewhat harder bike to wield. Hands down the best two bike's I threw a leg over in a long time, and talk about bang for the buck, both are screaming deals. I promptly bought a Phantom black 1000F model upon my return home to Miami. The K5 Gixxer engine was the driving factor, it is simply my favorite liter bike motor of all time. You really cannot go wrong with either of these beasts. Safe riding you all.

      @Bunnyshooter 223 You're right, I didn't know that the 750 is slightly heavier. It sure has plenty of power like you confirm, it was a hoot on that test ride I took on it. Enjoy it and safe riding, oh and stop shooting bunnies please🤡.

      That GXS S1000F is a dream bike of mine. I hope they keep it going in the US. As a returning rider, I finally went with the SV650, but in hindsight the GXS S750 would have been better for me (*taking nothing away from the SV at all).

    I've got a 2018 version with the ABS and haven't regretted it at all, getting over 40 miles per gallon commuting, and none of that is Highway and yes the mpg will dip When you want to hear the intake sound and the Yoshi making noise.
    In my opinion Suzuki hit the mark with this model in that it does a lot of things really good but not any one thing great or superb. It's just an all-around really good package and you can usually pick them up for under $8,000.

      With the current market Z900’s and MT09’s are marked up to $12,000. Not the humble GSXS 750 though. Just checked my local dealer, they are asking MSRP flat, unlike the more sought after Yamaha and Kawasaki. So the GSXS is really a value right now

      @@sleeper.simulant7327 Good to know. That said, you could buy the new GSX-S1000 for less than the MT-09 or Z900 with markups. My local dealer has a $1000 discount advertised, so that basically takes off the normal fees. I’d gladly pay sticker for that bike! The 750 is about $2750 less expensive, but the 1000 is a much better value.

    Over the years I've had a bunch of different Suzuki's including GSR750, GSXR750, SV650S and GSXR1000. I've loved them all but gotta say, the GSR750 (effectively the same as GSXS in this vid) is my favourite in terms of comfort and over all fun. I feel like I can take off at the lights fastest on this thing without popping a wheelie. Obviously it's not as fast over all, but the mid range power is sick and the top end is still super nice.
    I love the GSXRs for style, and performance, but as he puts it, the GSR/GSXS is a wicked working mans, every day bike. So fuel efficient, so smooth, feels super light, and so easy to work on when you need to change the oil and all that stuff compared to a fully faired bike.

    First rode this when I was in India. It's genuinely an easy bike to ride, regardless of your skill level. As long as you don't pop the clutch every shift, there's no rear wheel spinout. Center of gravity and balance point is perfect for me. Only "issue" I had was the bikes pickup on 1st gear isn't ideal in heavy slow moving indian traffic, other than that, it is a good bike.

  • @paulconnell1309

    Finally got to test ride a three year old GSX S750 with 16k on the clock. Dealers don't seem to have demos these days and sometimes not even stock! Loved it. Much wider through the engine than my twin 500 with a higher seat and 14 more kgs. However the rake on the front forks is steeper and it felt light and very flickable. Very settled and smooth. Gear box slick. Plenty of power through mid range around town, lots if you let the revs climb. Did a roll on in top at 60kph. Smooth and felt quick enough, then suddenly I was up on the car ahead. I had found the torque and HP curve! Most impressed by the clutch, throttle, power, gear box interaction. Found it intuitive to ride smoothly from the get go. The Suzi auto throttle on clutch release is a nice touch. Got blips on down changes smooth immediately. Smoother than my twin! I think the clutch friction zone and quick revving four help. Box smoother into and out of 1st and 2nd. Only downside was the wind at speed. 100kph was ok. At 130 my helmet was lifted up and pushed into my face in an unfamiliar way. Did not like it. Perhaps I should try a semi tuck and pull my chin down. Maybe a fly catcher screen? Ran out of space and had to move through lanes and exit. Did not try twisties but imagine it would be settled. Did not test mirrors. The tester bike had tiny bar ends. Felt blind. Nice bike and great value. Very impressed. Would be a perfect commuter where I live and weekend toy. On my list against the MT09.

  • @ryannafe9252
    @ryannafe9252 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    To me, the cool thing about this bike and the way they tune the engine is that it puts down the same HP to the rear that the supersport 600’s do but it has a lot more torque than any of them. That means it’s much more mellow, capable, and comfortable around town but you can still rev it up and get crazy like you can on a 600 if you want to. Very good bike, especially for being well under 10K.

    • @englishsteel-nz6im
      @englishsteel-nz6im 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It's about the same HP as the CBR600 or R6, but the ZX6R and Gixxer 6 have 10-15 more and 35 pounds lighter but yes more instant torque-- also revs more like it's 750R counterpart(same engine lol)than a 600, which is a good thing as that 750 is smoother while retaining higher rpm explosiveness. It's a beast of a bike for the price indeed and what most people miss when comparing to it's direct competitors is that it offers true sport bike handling unlike the yamaha or kawa or even the street triple. The bike is so planted in the corners something like 80% of a gixxer which is ridiculous for a naked and it's so easy to hang off the bike.
      Suzuki's oft criticized non-innovativeness gave riders a low priced, street practical gixxer for all intents and purposes and Yamaha gets praised for a poorly designed wheelie machine it's amazing how people perceive and review things.

      I think it has "just enough", ABS and traction control adjustable to 3 levels.
      I leave mine with the ABS on and traction in level 2, level 3 is so sensitive that undulations on bad roads causes TC to cut power. I think level 3 is really only for icy conditions - even wet roads it seems excessive.

I had the previous generation and I never wanted to get rid of the stock exhaust because I didn't want the sound of the exhaust to overpower the ecstasy of that intake. And i heard this newer generation sounds even better. EDIT: Also, 1st gear hits about 62 MPH. I never used more than 3 gears unless I was on the interstate. It likes to cruise at about 6k which happens to be right around where the power starts to get fun. Cruising around in 6th gear at 50 mph is just using this engine incorrectly.

I ended up with the latter - and still have it 43000km later (right choice) - but the GSXS750 was third behind the SpT. I thought it was a better bike to ride than its 1000cc sibling. Great little bike and at that price it is a cheap highly capable commuter you would take the long ride home on

    This review is totaly on point imo. I love that this bike feels more analogue in comparison to other much more tech advanced motocycles that are out there. I wish it had a bit more torque down the low revs but coming from the Vtwin school, I kinda have to get used to let the rpm go higher before shifting but but that's just me who needs to get accustomed to I4s. I easily get 39+ mpg, even with a bit of spirited riding. I'm not a fan of the fascia.. a bit too Mangaesque for me but this being said, when I ride I don't see it. I think this bike is a great bang for the buck!

Small things, eg. the sidestand is quite cheap and flimsy. It could use LED lights and indicators and I wish the rev limiter would be 250 RPM higher so you could enjoy that nice howl for a bit longer. I found myself hitting the limiter quite often. Also the rear seat could be just a tad further back so there would be a bit more room to change position if / when needed when riding.

    Hey Adam, how about choosing between this 750 and the Kawasaki z900? I think the Z900 seems more comfortable in the show room, plus it's a lot more bike for $1000 or so more! I loved the demo ride I took on the Z650, but not sure I want another fizzy 4 cylinder. I've been riding much bigger V twin and a CTX700 the last few years and find myself liking the parallel twins with 270 degree cranks more than 4 cylinders like the Bandit 1200 I rode for about 12 years. Looking ahead four years or so, I'm trying to decide among smaller ADV/Sport touring bikes and standards (650-900cc). On my radar are: Street Twin, Speed Twin, Trident, Z900 (regular and RS), NC750X, CB500X (pre '20), Tracer 7 (fingers crossed on import), MT-07, and the 1100 Rebel or (depending on price) CB1100X. I have a 29 inch inseam, ride most weekends and occasionally do short touring trips, I like quick bikes but not the most important aspect for me. I mostly want an upright motorcycle that has or can be fitted with wind protection that has enough power for its weight to be fun. Any thoughts?

    For $500 more the Kawasaki Z900 is superior machine. Power modes, traction control, ABS and that awesome TFT display.

      awesome tft... This has 3 levels traction control that seems to have some throttle modulation. The engine is so tractable, it isn't really needed. A wonderful machine - a little harder edged than the kawa..

    Thanks for doing this review. Kind of a sleeper. I felt the distance from seat to handlebar was too short, so i bailed on buying. But since you are a tall feller and fit fine, I was probs wrong on that.

    They make a windscreen and rack for the back for this bike.
