    Timestamps/chapters below! Many thanks to Frasers of Gloucester for letting me take a spin on the 2020 Suzuki GSX-S750. To be honest I didn't have high expectations of this first date... well I was in for a surprise!

    I did say in the video that this bike had less than 100 miles on the clock... I got that bit wrong but not by much!
    It would be great if you can press Like if you like my video and Subscribe if you want to see more! I already have a couple of Kawasaki 1000cc bike vids in the can for editing 😊

    People in the know and who don't listen to nonsense haters about "needs technology update" know how sick these GSX-S bikes are. I have a 2018 GSX-S750Z and it's my fav bike I've ever had for general road use--- I keep up with liter bikes in the twisties and we're talking about skilled riders not people who don't know how to handle a liter bike. True that you can't really use all of the liter bike on the street but just pointing out the 750 handles amazing and the power is ample.
    You're also not going to beat the induction noise and engine note. I actually dislike the sound of parallel twins-- even the KTM 890. I love V-twin sound of course-- I think the old school inline4 scream is also superior to the Yamaha inline 3.
    The common complaints are weight... yet this thing handles better than my lighter SV650 and I keep up with fireblades and s1000rr's in group rides... the weight and aerodynamics actually cut thru wind better on the highway than lighter bikes too so being that it doesn't negate handling it's a plus... they knock the updating of an old engine... K5 gixxer is a legend if that's a negative you're silly and it makes the same stock HP as the MT09 with a better sound and the reliability being that it's detuned and understressed is going to be thru the roof.
    Anybody that rides these GSXS bikes it's nothing but positive reviews for a reason so if you're thinking about getting one just go do it lol--- in a group ride I had a guy on a KTM Superduke ride mine and I rode his and he commented on how amazing the GSXS handled and the sound as opposed to the KTM-- one anecdote but goes with the trend.
    Hey and induction sound again... like noted it's stock on this vid, throw a Yoshi pipe on.... fuck... you got MotoGP sound lol

    Very nice review. I am new to motorcycles. You touch on the most important things about the bike. I have the same bike as a first bike. Here in the Netherlands we practice and get our license on a 650cc. So the jump to a 750 is not that big. Changed the turn signals to LEDs, installed a tailtidy, put another exhaust on it (Yoshi Alpha T), changed the head bulb to a LED and installed a little windscreen. Thanks for the effort. Hi there I'm glad you enjoyed my review and thanks for subscribing. When riding these bikes for TH-cam I try to put myself into the shoes of different types of riders... I don't always remember to do it though 😂 I hope you enjoy some of my other videos!
      In relation to the practice/learner laws in the UK/EU, I passed my motorcycle test in 1992 and I'm very out of date when it comes to the current regulations! I think today we can gain our licence on a bigger bike in the UK at 21 and have had the lower licence (to ride 35kW bikes) for two years. Pretty complicated compared to when I passed my test!

    I'm right with you on the induction noise. My 2015 is still mostly stock and still has the OEM exhaust, so it's pretty tame. Even though it's not making peak power at like 6k rpm if you open up the throttle the absolute howl that comes from below the tank is incredible as it moves up the rev range.

    I have ridden the GSX S750, Z900 and Ninja 650. Forget the Ninja. The Z has so much power, its like an automatic, you can go from 2000 to 8000 revs in one gear and cover everything. But way more than you can really use. The GSX is light around town and arguably is more fun on the B roads as you can push it along. And that roar. The Kawaka gear boxes were not good. I missed a couple of upshifts. I am thinking GSX. Needs a small screen though Wind a bit rough.

    • @RikkyTang
      @RikkyTang  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wind is always a bit of a drawback with these bikes... somedays I say "embrace the windblast it's why I bought a naked bike!" Other days it's "gotta find a screen that works... fourth time lucky" 🤣 The GSX is a lot of fun!

    Question. Does the Gsx-s have engine vibration as the revs climbed? I have a new 2023 and the higher the revs the more vibration that comes through the bars, the seat, the foot pegs and the gas tank. Is this normal? My mirrors are blurry at any rpm above about 4-5k too.

    • @RikkyTang
      @RikkyTang  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unfortunately I think you might miss the torque... . You do have to wait a bit longer for strong acceleration when you twist the throttle from low revs. The flipside is that the bike will feel lighter and more "alive" than the Bandit I reckon. This bike strikes me as a very willing partner when you want to have fun! It's definitely worth a test ride if you can arrange one.
      If you have been thinking that it's time to get with the 21st century lol then I think you will be upgrading sooner or later! A GSXS1000S would be worth considering... I haven't ridden one yet but I do understand that the engine on that is a good 'un. Looks aren't to everyone's taste but it might be the bike that makes you think "why did I stick with the Bandit for so long?" Good luck!

      I do agree and think the GSX range could do with being brought bang up to date... however something tells me that Suzuki might be playing the "sensible" & "value for money" cards with these bikes; I guess there is a market for that sort of thing because apparently the 750 is a good seller!

For whatever reason, riding the GSX-S750 on that day made me feel like a bit of young hooligan again and I was actually using lower gears and more revs on purpose! • @RikkyTang
      @RikkyTang  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Terry, People have different opinions on a question like yours; in the UK, the law has made bikers start on smaller bikes and move up towards bigger bikes. Although we don't like that approach it also makes good sense from a safety point of view. Pretty much every motorbike rider will fall off their bikes at some point! I did a lot of falling off myself when I was younger and most of it was my fault. Touch wood I haven't fallen off in maybe 15 years now and I mainly put that down my earlier experiences 😊
      This bike is easy to ride slowly... the problem is that it can also easily get to 80 or 100 mph and more in a matter of a few seconds and if you have an accident due to inexperience the results could be fatal. My advice is to start on something smaller... don't rush to a big bike and gain experience and smaller/slower bikes first.

      @@farmerjimmy7453 The bikes are totally different actually - the 750 is based on the earlier GSR750 and the 1000 is a newer machine so they have different chassis and bodywork. Please do some more checking but I don't think anything for the 1000 will fit the 750, sorry.

      @@RikkyTang In fact, it IS the GSR750. This is an update to that bike (metal overwhelmingly the same, the plastic and silicon are quite different) with a name change in some regions today the GSX-S (others already called it that).

    I’m trying to learn about motorcycles and your video is made for people who has extended experience. You started out riding right away and did not explain nor just giving a quick overview on what the bike is all about like the seat height, the horse power, the brakes….etc…so I turned it off at 3:04 minutes in. Like I said I’m just a beginner and this video is way over my head. Thanks though.

      @RikkyTang  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep you're right my reviews are aimed at motorcyclists that already have some experience, although I think even some of the less experienced ones would tell you that my videos are not particularly advanced or technical. Once you have learned some of the fundamentals then vids like mine will make more sense.
      Hopefully in the future when you have more experience and are looking to buy bigger bikes then videos like mine will be more useful to you.
      In the meantime channels like MotoJitsu (USA) or RoadCraft Nottingham (UK) will be more relevant for you.

    Bit annoying how every time you open it up you switch to view of your helmet instead of front of bike and approaching bends like you’re reviewing the helmet lol.Apart from that great informative review.Appreciated cheers

      Yes but is a nice helmet isn't it? Seriously though thank you for commenting - you can probably guess why I keep switching away from the front of the bike and that's to keep the speed out of shot. The videos can sometimes take several days to make and to be perfectly honest with you it's easier and quicker to switch camera than it is to use blurring options in the editing software. On some videos I have two front facing cameras so it's easier to manage. As my video editing skills improve and I buy better equipment you should see less of this. Thanks again 😊

Someone in the comments of one of my vids found the STR more exciting than this 750 and ended up on the Triumph so it's certainly worth looking into 👍👍 I hope you can get on with the test in March!

    The GSX-S750 being so bottom heavy, whike cornering feels funny when riding my girlfriend's bike. I don't know, maybe I'm too used to my Tuono 660 being taller.

      I can't choose between a gsx-s 750 or spend a bit more on a tuono 660. Do you think the tuono is worth it?

    • @juanesteban8938
      @juanesteban8938 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @bramoldenziel6373 both are fine bikes. The 750 has an inline 4 which is pretty cool, it feels different to a parallel twin. I prefer the Tuono 660 because I think it is designed for taller people. On the GSX-S750, I feel all cramped up, feels like a toy. Also the Tuono is definitely a head turner, always get complimented by it, you always see people looking at you while riding it. Now I have to say, the 750 is more reliable than the Tuono. I had to service the Tuono for a few minor things, nothing critical, but it's annoying. The 750, that thing runs for ever without issues. But I don't mind having to fix minor things on my Tuono.

    • @juanesteban8938
      @juanesteban8938 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also probably it will be easier to resell the 750 than the Tuono. But every time I see my bike, it's like damn, looks so good!
