If the ABS is on, you will need to connect scanner with abs communication capabilities. Once you connect scanner, you will verify the codes that may represent the issue with your abs system. Having a abs light on can be many possibilities of issues. Retrieving the codes is the first step to diagnosis the and abs system.

I have the same c1185 code. I know a buddy who has an electronic store and he opened up module and replaced a few mosfet chips. I didn’t check the solenoids as you mentioned here. Everything checked good when diagnosing the module being bad. Assuming another issue is in the module like a solenoid. I do recall my solenoids would wiggle a lot. Id like to know what module solenoids suppose to feel like. Great video btw

    • @713jtmechanic8

Hi Zach, I noticed each solenoid has to two contacts and the contacts are solder on to circuit board. This is what I experienced on my module, if the solenoid has excessive movement, there is a high probability chance the solder is broken. If the solenoid feels stable, there is a slight feel of play, the contacts are in good condition. Hope this helps. Thank you

Line pressure drops during air bleeding.
