I have a '72 Z and I've got it restored and updated all around, except the suspension. I only have lowering coils and want coil overs and T3 components front and rear. What you have produced here is one of or even the best I've seen for doing all this work. Your mechanical pointers are precise, and your methods show a home shop mechanic can do most everything. Huge thanks for your work doing this video. I can't wait to watch more.
Subscribed and in agreement with so many of the other comments on attention to detail. You communicate important points without any distractions or "fluff". Well done! Thank you!
Fantastic video and fantastic work. Love how clean the rear end looks now. Also pretty helpful video as I will be doing a full rear end build later this year.
Great video! I’m glad I found your build. Like you, I was hesitant to go with the APEX rear end for my VQ37VHR build. I am using the front subframe and there’s a lot of good features but it seems to missing the mark on some points. I think I will be going this route with the R180! I’m looking forward to seeing your swap!!
What are the issues with the Apex stuff? I was about to purchase the front and rear “Track Attack” kit, and after seeing the issues he had here, I changed my tune a bit. Possibly gonna go with T3 stuff instead, but they do NOT make a front subframe or any products for an LS swap like I’m doing. 🫤
@@matthewpeterson4305No, I’m going with an IE setup with Super 8.8 and Mustang front suspension setup. This uses all the same components as a 2015/2016 Mustang, so everything is pennies on the dollar with a much wider range of wheel/hub and BIG brake kits availability. Just know, you’ll probably need to run 18’s to clear most brake setups, which also usually requires fender trimming. Not to mention, it is it’s a one man show, so fab time can take a minute.
hello man. I love your video. I have a 620 Datsun 1978 here in Tennessee. Not sure if you are interested in buying it for renovation. I can send you some pictures. My dad would love to restore but he doesn't have the time nor the energy anymore. Thanks!
Excellent video, I learned some stuff :-) I have a 76Z with a lot of those parts already. I still have an open diff though. I have T3 coil-overs and I am pretty sure they have a kit that would bolt right in..I wish you were my neighbor lol
Yup, they sell it as either 4 or 5 stud. Both are drilled out, but they press in the studs based on what you order. They also have normal length or extended studs

Great video! Just put my 280 rear end back together and learned a few things.
Thanks, so many little things on this rear end
Crazy video ! Everything is well explained, straight to the point !! Loved it keep going !

Idk why I'm watching this. I'm going to go with the invincible super 8.8 kit or the apex 8.8 kit. But was definitely a nice video to watch and learn

looks pretty good
Can you use those stub axles for a 5 stud wheel too or is it just 4? Seemed like with the holes on it, you can use it for both

@@windows_down_ thank you sir, doing this to mine as well! I want to do 5 lug for wheel choice LOL
Nice! Def a good idea of going bigger wheels too
Found your channel and demand more content! Hope the Z is coming along 👍

Would you ever consider doing this to a 944 Porsche for a commission?
Possibly, message me on Instagram @windows_down_
Somehow I've been banned from Instagram. Any ideas?
@@windows_down_ I just reached out and was told this email wasn't you.
