@@turbofedz8997 lol the kit is $500 because it's out of stock and he doesn't want people to buy items he doesn't have on hand. It should be $250. Yes if you are handy you can measure yourself and center the subframe on your own then make up your own kit. You can use 350z axles with the 90-96 Q45 diff (6 hole stub, I'm assuming that's what you got) and S14/Z32 NA rear wheel bearings/hubs if you can't find the 32 spline wheel bearings/hubs. That's still a pretty strong setup
OK yes we both got really lucky here in New York and found 2 1990 Q45 diff within 4 miles from home for $250 each at the local junkyard, soo from the videos I'm seen is that the 350zx axles are a little long and tend to brake from other s14 guys on TH-cam that I've watched..they buy the villains stub modified, so you send your q45 6 bolt and they cut it to size and weld it for $255 waooo lol..the q45 axle is not bad to find new but the TT is a little difficult..soo if I take the q45 hub will it fit?..I know the bearing works.
@@turbofedz8997 quite a few drag guys going really fast on 350z axles. That villains stub modification is for the 3x2 S13/S14 stubs to use 350z axles. Just found your channel and have been watching all your vids! Such a coincidence that I'm about to do a 5.3 turbo swap on my Z! Already have the motor and some other stuff...been waiting to see if theres gonna be any black Friday or cyber money deals to get the rest of it.
Thanks a ton for this video! I’m a very long ways off from doing this with my Z, but it is something I’d like to do eventually. So clearly, there are quite a few options to choose from. Would you have a personal suggestion on which parts to choose for a Z that likely won’t see more than 260hp max? I don’t plan on pushing a crazy amount of power out of my car, but I would like all of the handling benefits, as well as easier alignments with better adjustability. Basically what I’m asking is, would you recommend your S14 setup over S13, Z32, Apex engineered, etc.

That RT conversion bushing gives me a seizure. What stops it from just spinning in the knuckle when you hit a big bump? I think it's cool that you put something this comprehensive out there on the swap by going through all the options. That said, I think a lot of people are going to use this as a shopping list to get the most Rambo package they can get when it will be totally unnecessary for their uses, and complicate the swap more than it needs to be. I've seen the weakest setup you can put together hold up to sustained 600hp drift weekend beatings. In some parts of the country, you'll be looking for years for an S14 sub. Just get an S13 one. So yeah, I don't want to come off like I'm knocking your vid, just what I know people will do with the information. Which is, have a ton of parts sitting around that will get installed probably never.
