I have the same setup. K24 cd009 in my Datsun 240z. Unfortunately the collins adapter appears to be too thick and my clutch fingers are rubbing against the slave cyclinder. Have you run into this issue?
Ahh interesting. I haven't yet installed the clutch, but that sounds like trouble. What clutch are you running? I have a ZSpeed clutch but I'd assume the clutch fingers are the same size as OEM. I also have the 370z trans, which has a concentric slave cylinder as opposed to the external on most cd009's. Unsure if that will help or hurt me here
The Honda K series is a great engine, but I just can’t see how it’s worth the trouble and expense when you can easily turbo the L28, or swap in a RWD Nissan KA24 DOHC, or SR20DET. This Honda swap must add thousands and thousands of cost with custom trans Adaptor, custom cross member , different trans, etc…
Definitely not cheap.. L28 is great but it's an old design: 2 valve, no vtc, exhaust manifold right under intake, less efficient, etc. Wanted something more modern. SR20DET with a trans is outrageous now, over $7k sometimes. KA24, not well informed on them, but I'd guess that trans would have to be upgraded for 350+hp and not sure on engine internals. If I could chose again, may look more into 1JZ more, maybe slightly cheaper overall than K series, but hard to say

I’m k-swapping my 280zx. What style engine mounts are you going with?
There's nothing off the shelf but probably start with the tf-works mounts for S chassis and build off of that

Yeah sure I'll email you. Both mounts will prob be custom. Trans I may build off/modify the OEM 370z trans crossmember.
