Let's face it, cars are awesome. We love working on them and we love driving them. Here's a tribute to enjoying those days that we can ride with the windows down and our worries in the rear view mirror.

dude, i have never seen such an informative video like this one. very entertaining and also tons of knowledge. great video bro 💪🏾
Such a BEAUTIFUL car !
Can’t I just take the fender and the light bucket together?
Can’t I just reset the ecu w my scanner?
Installing front and rear for a customer, NO instructions, missing parts, shit service! Poor engineering, powder coating as well. I wouldn't recommend their products to anyone.
Found your channel and demand more content! Hope the Z is coming along 👍
Great video bruh 👍
Is it loud inside the cabin on the highways?
Why is the flywheel insanely thick? I understand it has to make up for the adapter but it’s what 2-3x thicker then needed to just make up for adapter.
What transmission is that
any updates? after a year
love this car from the moment I saw it in NFSU2
You could easily take off the upper and lower plenum and have really easy access. Saves me time
Seam sealer the panel seams not the welds
My 06 6MT just cracked 100k miles. I've replaced 3/4 wheel bearings, 2 brake calipers, gauge cluster and fuel senders, window motor, all coil packs but it's never left me stranded. It does need a more work than my civic, but overall its been reliable for a sport coupe. I upgraded the exhaust to a bassani dual cat back and it sounds amazing. Love this car. I keep thinking of replacing it with a newer car but nothing under $70k excites me. RWD, manual, 4 seats, 300hp, under $20k is hard to find these days
edmounds or copart all BMW X6 OR RANG ROVER OR FORD MUSTANG OR CAMARO DODGE UNDER 3000$ EASY TO BUY YOU NOOB
Am driving M45 do I have to do them steps or can I use obd2 scanner to erase the codes! Also the car shut off after a few minutes… @windowsdown
Subscribed and in agreement with so many of the other comments on attention to detail. You communicate important points without any distractions or "fluff". Well done! Thank you!
Thx for yo honest thoughts experiences on Apex kit, i have a 240Z which will under restore mode next year,,which i would had gone with their kit but not any more, yes parts were never cheap for these cars n the last things u fine out after yo order that it will take forever n then when u finally get it its damage n doesn't works as it supports to or now u have to modify to make it work,, i don't buy that,, T3 for me now, thx for save others from same mistakes
I have apex and this guy installed alot of things incorrectly his wheel issue is because he didn't put the spacer plate for the wheel bearing or the brake rotor that will bring the wheel alot farther out. The front from bolts that he said tou need to drop everything it's because you have to flip them lol that simple literally need an IQ of 10 to figure that out.
What's the IQ to wait a year plus for parts they admit don't work 🤔 or the 10 other things lol
I love the old school orange display. I miss my old 350z.
Can you just disconnect battery
You happen to know if the window is same as 350z?
Good stuff thank you.
This I think is the best reveiw of the G35 hands down🔥🔥🔥
How much weight do you think you are saving with this swap? If I recall the L6 is a bit over 400lbs. I figure the CD009 is probably a bit heavier then the Datsun 5spd. I wouls guess a savings of 100-150lbs
The numbers I have written down that I've actually measured (incl. clutch/flywheel): K24 engine + 370z trans + alternator = 430lbs, 195kg. L28 + trans + intake manifold + exhaust manifold + AC Comp + Alternator + Starter = 551lbs, 250kg K24 is obv missing some items: exhaust manifold, intake, starter. I'll also be going turbo. So not saving a ton of weight (if any) over L28 setup. But for my power goals or compared to a 1JZ/2JZ I was considering, it's light-ish.
Alright so about 100lbs then not bad. I have all iron sbc 350 thats about that much heavier then the L28 and was lookingndor lighter options like an LS or at least getting aluminum heads on my setup, thanks for thebquixk reply 👍
Update on 2024?
Sold a few months ago, but it was crystal clear
Nice job on outlining the process and steps. I just completed this exact same thing on my car and used practically the same steps. It took a lot of effort with the wire wheel (days!) and I swept up endless piles of debris like you did. This is the third time I’ve done this so I finally realized that a cheap paint suit from Home Depot was a Godsend. The raptor liner sticks to skin for a long time and ruins clothes. The suit was cheap protection. The results are worth it though. The finished product looks fantastic. Great video. 👍
That's awesome to hear, glad it helped out!
Besides the tires it still looks stock. Never thought to do aesthetic mods ?
i’m trying to think of how hard or easy it’d be to get a 300zx speedometer inside the 280z rn
Do you have to remove the engine to take out the chassis harness
You think 370z diff will work for L series ?
get a WRX Sti subaru R180 LSD. Lots of info out there on the swap
I would have just bought a 280z fuel tank from S30 world. That's too much bastardizing of a perfectly good car for no reason.
So on the revup there's 1 angled and 1 regular on the back of both right? I've changed the cam sensors but was kinda confused om the exhaust valve timing control sensor..that's right next to them right? Thanks a bunch.. so basically 2 of each
I got P0345 wtf do I need
What do I do with the extra light bulb that was on the side marker
hi, i have to buy this vehicle on this week, 2006 model, is it ok for buying?
as of today, how's the headlight doing?
Sold it a few months ago sadly, but they were still crystal clear
One question,is a front wheel bearing the same as a rear wheel Bearing? For the g35
This is best video. Love the charts. Simple + easy to understand. Thanks
damn..i wish i had watched this before i bought my AE kit... fml At least other people will :)
Just bought a ‘06 G35 sedan, got it with 164k miles and mechanically, it is perfect. Obviously the fuel sensor is off and the tire pressure sensor also but all I had to do was change the HID lights since one went out and changed the front rotors and calipers. Drive’s amazing !
I just got the p1078 code today. It idles at 1,100 rpm. Its odd that the exhaust sensor on bank 1 is the same sensor as the intake sensor on bank 2 and vice versa
How has this held up over the year? I am doing a similar job myself now and prepping to a similar level. Planning to epoxy primer the entire underbody and wheel well areas prior to the raptor.
Well it's been in the garage the whole year so holding up perfectly lol
Toy Mill
Are you going to ruin this one by putting a Honda engine in there too?
If you want a car with a Honda engine, just get a Acura NSX.
Well done video. I own an 03 1 owner prior, knock on wood not experiecing any of the issues, given the doors do close by themselves. 139k. Edit: 11:48 😂😂👍 Love my G dude.
At 3:09 regarding the "infamous white box", lol, you have the right tool (a knife/razor blade), however, on the other side carefully slice off the 4 tangs that keep the plug from pulling out the back and then push it out from the front (plug) side. It'll take a bit of force to get it moving but it will come out cleanly as long as the 4 very thin tangs are cleanly shaved off. I believe it will be re-useable if you do this carefully, but may require a small screw if your plug fits loosely.
The one person who knows how to work with it haha. It was a pain
Why can't u do it step by step y'all jump to much and it doesn't help
Correct me if I’m wrong but it’s either epoxy primer or self etching primer. You can’t use both as they’re not chemically compatible
