Man I love these early Z cars. I think they will always be timeless. In fact, they still look better than most new cars on the road today.

I just got my '72 Z back on the road with fuel injection. It looks like crap to me and needs paint, but I get 2-3 compliments everytime I drive it. I guess it just has that look that everyone is missing.
Those modifications on the that Z makes want to get another 240z. Impressive!
Drove one of these back in the day. Great car. Better than todays computerised plastic shopping trolleys..
we could do so many things with todays tech but nah. we completely fuck ourselves over because of a bunch of lgbtq sjw 'awareness' bullshit. cars themselves are disappearing right before our eyes. imagine how the car scene is going to look 30 years from now. honda civics are gonna be the new classics. they already are.

Reminds me of my blue 1973 Datsun 240z I bought a year after I got out of h.s., though was a black & white interior. Then I did some upgraded that were available at that time. But these are better in technology & engineering. I will get another one soon.

Wow great vid! I'm sure it was a huge difference. I would recommend that you change all your bushings, like the subframe and differential with something just a bit stiffer than stock. Should make for another good change. 👍
Good call! I actually did get around to changing the mustache bar bushings to polyurethane, along with adding helper springs to the coilovers, but I didn't get a chance to get it on video. The bushings were pretty worn, so it did make a difference.

For labor, you should expect $100+ per hour at any reputable high performance shop. Or at least that's my experience in the SF bay area.

I love this action with lift making the job so simple to do with getting all down on the floor and getting back up etc. Amazing what you can accomplish just having a LIFT. Exactly what I need for about six months is PRIVATE garage with nice LIFT and man you can getter done. The one I find online rent is little too expense plus it open to public. Nice work/videos enjoy it very much. How many days did actually take for you to finish the entire job?

Yes, I still need to find a good place to get my fenders rolled before increasing track width. Tires were already rubbing on stock suspension with 15" Panasports

Hey, I was hoping you could answer a question for me. With your evolved coilovers did you use flat top hats in the back or the taller tapered ones?
I used the solid pillow mounts in the rear - technotoytuning.com/nissan/240z/240z-260z-and-280z-solid-pillow-mounts

Why did you guys choose the T3 parts over Apex Engineering?
The main reason: T3 has been making track tested and proven parts for decades. And this car will likely see the track a few times a year. It also is a plus that they are local to me and are owned / operated by some awesome folks.

That front swaybar definitely isnt stock.....
@@punkracing sure looks like the stock one on my 70 and 72.
I left the existing sway bar, since the previous owner replaced it with a 24mm aftermarket one. If I remember correctly, stock is 18mm. It's definitely beefier in comparison to the stock one I had in my other Z.

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned
from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the
Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas
station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel
pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in
the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems,
turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and
New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be
done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of
crime here, called emission- and smoke crime.
if you have to cut on new parts to make it fit it's not worth it.
That dual caliper (parking brake / caliper) bracket wasent designed to work with techno toy tunning struts….. and that rear control arm bushing cap could have been installed properly for the exhaust wasent in the way
