Nice work. Always good to see when mistakes are made & corrected, rather than edited out. Oetiker type clamps can be squeezed with angle/diagonal cutting pliers, better than using vise grips as you get the proper tuck in of the clamp head
Cheers. Yea I want to show the process including the screw ups 😁. And you are right about the clamps. I had a suitable pinchers but couldn't find it on the day.
Another great video mate, watching this rain in Hawkes Bay New Zealand, we. Puked do without it after cyclone. I need it to stop so I can roll mine outside to carry on m, keep up the great work 🎉🎉
Yeah I saw ye guys were having it tough over there. Some scary videos over the last week or so. Hope things cheers up soon and you get the Z out and about.
Hey cheers. Nearly got down yer direction a few weeks back for a break. If we had more than a 2 week break we would have been there. Now get a coffee 🙃
Nice progress! I fitted CV shafts to my Z and had similar clearance issues on the anti roll bar link. I fitted new links from a honda crx which were shorter and allowed clearance. Nice and cheap too!
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with the drop link issue. Cheers for the CRX advice. I'll order a set ASAP and eliminate any risk to the booths. 😁
Love the work. Can't wait to see the finished product. As an owner of a fully restored 71 240Z in Dublin let me know if you need some references or anything.
it was a long time ago but back when i started repeatedly blowing z rearend by over powering them i just threw a 300zx diff in which i remember only taking a couple hours and some hard pushing but I never blew another diff, tranny's that's another story but a zx 5 speed fixed that problem too, i just don't remember anything coming up that wasn't handled in an afternoon.....
The man can weld!

Thanks a mil Kevin. Always good to know there is some assistance close by!
Nice to see you back again. The round flange at around 26.40 is also too close to the damper boss....or is it the camera angle.
Looks close with the camera angle, but there is space behind for bolts, so all should be good

Love it. Was it a Z31 300zx?
