Man, it's about time T3 did this. I am local to them and told them I would drop off my Ford 8.8, axles and everything back in 2018 and they laughed at me. "The R230 is bigger and better, there's no need for us to create the 8.8 setup."

please don't try burning out the bushes at home. particularly in sheet metal parts. Had a control arm fail on a car because the previous owner overheated the control arm which caused the control arm to rust on the inside of the bushing surface and eventually snap without any outer sign of damage. all this in an area without snow/salt on the roads and where rust is really not a problem for most cars.

ford 8.8 is an amazing diff, no matter if it is ifs or solid axle...i swapped 8.8 solid axle into my jeep and my f150s came stock with front and rear with them... 4 wheel burnouts on 305 nt420s during truck tugs and no problems yet

8.8 will hold a pretty decent amount of power. My spooled 8.8 with a T/A girdle back in the 90s held up in my mustang great back in the day.

This is far from the strongest IRS diff for the datsun. And I've talked to people who broke that power cradle and other t3 components under normal driving conditions.

This kit won't hold up to your 2jz. Super 8.8 will but this definitely won't, and that's coming from first hand experience, no bs.
For the ECU try to contact Haltech.. one Elite 1500 will suffice for that F20C engine.

With all the high quality parts used on this car and the anticipated power the turbo S2000 motor is going to put out I would be very hesitant to use a junkyard diff.
Seems like alot of that could have been built in less pieces, I know a lot of it is for being able to mix and match different kits and axels ect. Do u ever worry about the soft anodized aluminum stretching esp with those hub adapters? Why not use all steel?
The t3 kit is garbage, I have tons or pictures and have talked to many people who broke those parts.

looks like an open diff? If so do you plan to upgrade to a 1.5/1 way mechanical LSD for time attack purposes?
Just out of pure curiosity and future plans, can the crown wheel in that diff be swapped to the other side of the housing to give a reverse diff? It almost looks like it can in the video but I will never get to see a good enough view to really tell.
If this thing is gonna be a track car you should've went with a crv diff. Can handle like 600 hp and super small and lightweight

xavier you should use Audacity to remove some off that grain noise in the background
What are you going to be doing for a LSD? Will the factory exploder diff be up for handling the power of the boosted F22? Granted those are not torque monsters but using a clapped out factory junkyard LSD doesn't guaranty you having the power delivery to both wheels. At least you won't have a hard time finding parts or spend too much time swapping it out if you find out that the LSD isn't up to the task. Never trust an Exploder owner to actually have ever performed maintenance on the diff.

Great looking kit. Why wouldn't they set it up to run Mustang brakes? There is a whole lot of options for Mustang brakes and they are dirt cheap too. I know that would require making a different upright/knuckle but I feel it would be a nice option.
