Hey Scott! I'm a magician, hypnotist and DJ here in Saskatoon. I decided to finally dive in and take my TH-cam videos more seriously. I came across your channel and love the content! Can't wait to see more!
Party scene is essentially non existent in my opinion. There is couple popular nightclubs one is a country bar called Longbranch other one is a mixture called Outlaws. These clubs are not great compared to bigger cities. Couple fairly popular gay bars too.
I have lived in Saskatoon but now after 60 years I am moving to cottage country in Ontario. I am a little sad to leave my city of bridges but I love the fact I will be living on the water. Saskatoon has been a great place to grow up and do all my schooling there. Saskatoon is the most beautiful city on the prairies and Thank you Scott for highlighting it.
I really appreciate this video. I’m trying to envision my eventual move to Canada and want to choose to one of the big ones up north (Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Edmonton). This is a super helpful video, thanks so much! I’ve already fallen in love with Saskatoon!
Coming from a person who has lived here for about 18 years, before moving here make sure you consider the absolutely brutal weather. This winter has been really tough. Weeks and weeks of -40 to -50 celsius with the wind chills. Lots and lots of snow this winter and the city does a pretty poor job of clearing it so make sure to purchase an suv or something with 4wd/awd and good winter tires. They don't even clear or remove snow in residential areas. High crime rate too, has been crime capital of canadian cities or close to it some years. Other than that its a decent size city with about 300,000 people, good restaurants, nice river running through it and reasonable real estate prices compared to rest of the country though prices have risen. About 400k-450k gets you a decent detached home in a middle class nicer neighborhood.
You did a great job explaining why people should move here. Thanks that’s awesome. You’re absolutely right. Great city. The amazing river. Affordable. Appreciate that so much.
Honesty is the best policy...Saskatoon has major problems like all the cities in this once decent country, Inflation and rising interest rates are going to make things even worse.
What an amazing video! I was formally considering Manitoba but with this impeccable description, I shall be in Saskatchewan province soon after my M.A French by God's grace. Nice job Scott
I love having a nice day off doing errands or whatever, and its Jan/Feb/March and you get a glimpse of spring. You feel like that slight warmth from the sunset yet there's still snow and the air is so nice. Love those days
Ya exactly. The sun is getting warm and you can feel spring around the corner. Actually even on the cold days with no wind and sunny out it’s not to bad.

Hi Scott! So glad I stumbled across your video. My fiance and I are from Victoria BC, but as I'm sure you know, it's extremely unaffordable here and we're looking for a friendlier community. So far, Saskatoon is looking like the best place in Canada for us to settle down! Although I'm no stranger to a bit of wind, having grown up on the island, but I hear Saskatchewan has intense wind all year round.
