So what makes the 96-97 a better choice from the 93-95’s? I’ve read that the obd1 comes with the bus transmission. Think I read it on this forum www.westcoastcruisers.com/transfer.php Just asking because I will be in the market for an fzj80 soon. Thanks JBO
Jason Caruana if you want a slightly younger model, Toyota made the 105 series with a solid front axel. Exported to Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.. Luxury and capability all in one! You can’t beat an mid 90’s 80 though 👌🏼😁😉
Crashryding I love the 105 series (plenty in Australia) but I will not part with my FZJ80, 93 model with 306,000km on the clock and still going strong. Just too good to let go
Whats up Jarhead, im glad to see another Bostonian/Masshole hittin trails. You might not know much about 4runners but I love my t4r, I just purchased a 2000 t4r what upgrades should i do first? Hooah!!!!!! 617 & 508✌️
Dude I wish you had a little better camera work because I found myself wishing that I could see more of the truck engine bay and the truck as a whole.. What a beautiful truck!! You could remember to zoom out more to frame more of what you are talking about. .
I don't know if you have time to answer comments...I was just wondering what brand of mud tires you are running? because I know you drive cross country. My mud tires are obnoxious on the freeway...thanks brother.
DisConnect the one signal wire away from the reverse power wire .and hook it to a good switch.. try Ron Francis ... about 60 for a illuminated switch . High quality, add in a relay circuit with fuse , and you’ve got the parts , Ron Francis sells them. The mechanic will love installing it too. It’s actually a very simple thing to do. A bit involved to plumb it properly though. Must have a very trustworthy mechanic. Should take a few hours if it’s hooked up with relay circuit , fuse, illuminated light. Soldered, wrapped, shrink wrap, fastened ,nicely. Otherwise you can use another power circuit to just run a switch to power the cam it would only take 15-20 minutes crimped and sloppy. .... I The switch can wear out occasionally but it’s a low amp device. That’s the only thing the reverse wire does is connect power from the 12 volt source. To a oddly shaped switch . Sory about being long winded . I like car stuff.
Thanks for everything you do man, lots of us can see the earnest effort you put forth to try and awaken your brothers and sisters, and help folks get prepared and self sufficient. Question.... what vehicle would you recommend, make and model, for a guy on a budget to get started making a overland vehicle?
Damn, Richie, your Inspiring Me to put The 4x4 Axle Back on my Truck.. and throw That strait 6 Stroker motor I Built Last year, that's Sitting on The Garage floor.. back In The Truck.. 1990 Toyota.. 1974 AMC 258 guts In A 4.0 93'block, Carbed... o_o but That might Not work well On Inclines eh.. lol Fuel Injection for The win? ...i digress..
@@jailbreakoverlander that's awesome and I love Toyota 4 runners I used to go mudding here in Tennessee hardly ever seen them here mostly everyone that does has old Jeeps and Fords I broke the stabilizer rods on my 4runner and it cost a crazy amount to fix so I sold it which I regret cause Im not quite that savvy when it comes to repairs but I'm learning for the next SUV I get
Richie: Lot's of folks out west have horses. Have you considered exploring by horseback? (or tow a spare truck)😊👍🙏✝️ Peace Bro! Happy Trails! I get bout 200 miles per bail of alfalfa on my mule.
Bro, Great interview and walk around on the Land Cruiser ! I envy the width you boys have compared to my 02 4Runner, those seats look super comfortable. What tires are stock on those bad boys? Hey, by the way what a breath of fresh air this channel / subject is compared to the day to day nonsense we observe in the world today! Kudos brother and keep up the great work on all fronts......
What a clean 80!
I hope you hit that thumbs up Mike, it helps. XOXOXOX
