This is what God wanted when he put us here to explore and to be one with nature and see the amazing beauty and praise him for that beauty God is pleased with you Richie
I remember one specific morning crossing the Bighorns from Buffalo on my way to Thermopolis. 4 am, about a foot of fresh snow on the road (the plows weren't out yet), just me in my truck, sipping on some hot coffee and listening to the radio. I stopped about half way through, I shut everything off and just sat there on the side of the road in the freezing cold, enjoying the dead silence of that snowy paradise. I'm sure you know the road, lots of curves, ups and downs and it's definitely not a shot drive! And the Ten Sleep Canyon always makes me nervous, especially in the winter :) Despite all that, it was an amazing, truly spiritual experience that I will remember for the rest of my life! Wyoming and it's people will always have a special place in my heart. We moved to Montana but we still have friends there and we love going back to those places whenever we can.
Man... I think you sell yourself short. You're a pretty cool guy. You have an eye for finding the good and beautiful in nature. You've taught me alot. ALOT. You have a bigger heart than you think.
"It's an awful lot like the wild west...IF you can get past people wearing face masks. I didn't wear face masks. That's all there is to it." Priceless.
My dad who doesn't know how to use the computer keeps telling all his union plumbers about your videos lol he Carry's your jailbreak name in his wallet to tell everyone
Many years ago (as in the late 1970s) I was hitchhiking to Yellowstone to work for the summer, and it was late April and still pretty chilly if you weren't used to it (and I wasn't) and I got dropped off in Ten Sleep in the late afternoon. I walked through town and started hitchhiking at the western edge of town. I didn't catch a ride. So when it got dark I decided to get some dinner and look for a cheap motel. I walked back into town and went to a beautiful little mom and pop diner. After I'd been there awhile a County Sheriff came in to get some coffee and we started talking. I told him I was going to work at the Old Faithful Inn that summer and he joked that it was just "Ten Sleeps away", and we had a good laugh as everyone in there thought that that was amusing. It seemed that the town joke was that Ten Sleep was ten sleeps away from everywhere. It didn't matter whether it actually was or not. Anyway, I asked the Sheriff if it was legal to camp near the town. He didn't really answer that question, but instead asked me if I needed a place to stay for the night. I said I had camped along the way all the way from Auburn, Alabama to Ten Sleep, but he said it was too cold at night for my sleeping bag, which was very low budget. I told him I'd have to make do, as my Mom used to say. He said "Not here, you won't. Come with me." I thought "Oh, great now he going to take me to jail for who knows what." But he didn't. He took me to a small motel and got me a room for the night. The next morning I went back to the diner for breakfast before I hit the road. When I tried to pay for it the lady who owned the place wouldn't take the money. "Sheriff [whatever his name was] paid for it last night." I asked her "Does he always do that? He paid for my room last night too and refused to take my money when I tried to pay him back." She said something like "Yeah, he does. He's had to deal with people who were hitchhiking through here and froze to death camping with cheap gear." I'll never forget Ten Sleep and the kind people who live there.
Your truly blessed to get to see so much of God's creation and I feel blessed to get to see it through the lens of your cameras. Wish I could be there too.
This is my favorite JailBreak Overlander video. The 4K video and drone footage is spectacular! I’ve shared it with my entire family and told them to watch it on the biggest screen they own. 🧨
I'm around your age grouping range. I believe it's called wisdom when you know your limits and do the right thing when you are alone in a dangerous place and choose to see the beauty in it from a different angle. Younger folks would have gone in alone without even considering the danger involved. Good on you for be a wisman
Now I am homesick...lol. Growing up playing baseball in Bridger Mt. Learning how to ski in Red Lodge. Fly fishing in Yellowstone park brings back many HAPPY childhood memories. Thank you Ritchie.
Beautiful crisp clear photography! You have a gifted eye for catching beauty. I can’t get over how clear and clean the water is! Thank you again for letting us come along with you!❤️🙏🏼
Very professional, informative, beautiful photography, and once again, the music could not fit any better! This is an excellent documentary. Keep up the good work Ritchie!
"We need to see what's in these caves..." LMAO. My 10 year old self would wholeheartedly agree. But my middle age, disabled self, doesn't lol. Thanks for this video, loved it👍
Hey, I'm like you...Lol....my 10 year old self wants to see what's in the caves too....even my 57 (now) self wants to see what's in there....Lmbo...😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍 Richie is definitely AWESOME!!!
Met up with my parents RVIng in Wyoming near Centennial in '97. Distinct and beautiful. Wish I had a travel companion now. Many thanks for sharing your adventure.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful video! This is something I’d love to see in person. Your phenomenal drone footage is the next best thing! God bless you, Richie. Be safe. ♥️
I camped out right there on the water where you filmed the water and cave. This pass is my all time favorite. Thank you Richie for filming it, I miss seeing it.
This was outstanding! Felt like I was really there. The water looked so pure & inviting and loved how it flowed under the rocks. Thanks for the trip! Excellent Richie 🥰
Great video, love those parts of Wyoming. My wife and I were in there last year with our 4-wheelers and ran upon hundreds of sheep. Nice touch on helping the dude from Paru out a little. Living in a neighboring state I can't help but throw out the saying I always heard growing up- "Wyoming, where men are men and sheep are nervous"... BTW- those 'pine trees' looked to me like what we call LodgePole pine. Straight up narrow trunks, with few large branches and short needles. I have Ponderosa pine all over my property, very long needles heavy thick branches. Keep up the great videos, I'm in the process of mastering my DJI Pro4 drone so getting as many tips as I can.
I was there a few years ago hunting elk in Hyattville. I'm a quadriplegic (Army service) and though I couldn't get into the spots you were at nor the absolute heights, you provided me with the views I yearned for. Thank you for helping complete an important missing element. Seeing this brings back memories that I'll be able to revisit any time I need it. Thanks again....much appreciated!
Another fantastic video. Rinse - repeat. You have a true talent and what you do for those who can't get to these places or letting others who can know about them, is priceless. God bless you!
In 2016 I left my corporate job to ride my Harley across the country. Wyoming was 1 of the most beautiful places on earth. I came though Ten Sleep and stayed in Buffalo. I met people there that took me up to the top of the Big Horn Mountains for about 65 miles then down into the most beautiful Ranch I’ve ever seen. One of the guys worked on the ranch so I got the whole tour! Couldn’t agree with you more Richie, a must see!💙 The sheep were so cool and It was amazing that they still herd sheep!
I really enjoy your drone footage. Wyoming is beautiful! 😁 I knew a lady Marine that was stationed at MCAS and worked on jets. She was our neighbor, we would sit outside and drink beer 🍺and talk. She said Wyoming was scenic, but didn't have very many people. Rodeos are big! You bring America's beauty to everyone! God bless! Thank you, Richie!
Can't believe there aren't dirt-bikes and side x side's all over those mountains. I live 3 miles from the Hatfield/McCoy trailhead here in southern WV. As long as I can keep a nice dirtbike in the garage, I'm all good!!! Thank God my dad was a simple man and raised me to be the same. Your a good man overlander.
I loved watching this . I grew up in Southern Montana not far from there. In the early 80's I had a Toyota Corolla and drove it through the mountains right where you were many times. Good job 👍 on your camera 📸 work
~ w o w ~ Richie ~ w o w ~ That was amazing, the most calm I have felt all day long. I said 'wow' out loud 20 times [I am by myself] not talking to anyone, purely synaptic... in utter amazement... that is truly remarkable footage of an epic journey... I thank you so much for taking the time to share with us. You are quite the story teller and have gotten / are really good at maneuvering the drone and framing these shots [KUDOS!] It takes some pretty big balls to fly the drone over and so close to the water... TYTY!!!
I can’t even express just how BEAUTIFUL your footage is and has been... they mean the WORLD to me!! Thanks for sharing our magnificent world with the world!!!
Nice work with the drone. It brings a whole new perspective to these off road areas. Alot of your drone videos are probably the first time humans have seen some of these cliffs and caves etc. Educational. Fun. Keep up the good work.

I'm originally from Lander, Wy, but now live in Sheridan, Wy. I just found your channel this morning and I'm hooked! I watched the Wind River Canyon one first! Awesome footage man! I've been hiking and fishing in that canyon for years. Also, back in the 90s my band played for many biker rallies at the southernmost campground. Some great memories in that canyon!
Excellent job Jerry! Big Horns are my home. I live at the foothills of Big Horns in Buffalo Wyoming. Thank you for doing a great job sharing Wyoming with people. Best videos of Wyoming. Most Wyomingnite don't wear masks. My friend is one of those rock climbers. Tensleep is his favorite place to climb. There's a beer brewery in Tensleep. It is hard to fathom that all this pales in comparison to the eternal home he has prepared for us.
